The position of the building is in a very dirty part of the city. No shops and no restorants around. In the evening the place looks like a desert. The residence has no commom places where to stay. No restaurant, no bar inside; there is only a room, very squalide, open only for for breakfast hours. The rooms, the corridore and so on are dirty. The room (bedroom, kichen and dining room) no larger than 12-15 square metres. Daily cleening absent. For three days the unique lift was out of order: the building has nine floor ! When we left (two days in advance) the lift was still no working

This accomodation was probably the worse we've stayed in. The room had had some sort of update but was still very basic. The shower was mouldy and because our bed was a queen size mattress on a double base I felt like I was sliding off the bed all night, and it also meant the bottom sheet could not be tucked in. We had difficulty explaining that because there were two of us we would need a second towel for the bathroom, and each time we went to reception we felt we were interrupting them. Close to transport but you would not want to be on your own travelling in this area at night.

11.9.17 We spent one more night in Marseille after 5 days in another residence which was really good. Our REMARKS: 1) we got problems first with our navigotor becouse of works in this area 2) traffic and noisy area 3) old style residence needs to be remodernated. 4) carpet completely stained and durty. 5) furniture and style missing 6) parking too small for car box 7) reseevation on the phon not possible 8) just one small towel for person Positive; 1) very nice receptionists 2) depot to leave our car box 3) CHEAP 4) Bathroom really nice. 5) hair drayer available Not to be reccomended. We will not come here anymore.

Carpet dirty, aircon filters need cleaning. Having to sign in for Wifi every day was an irritant. I paid for a late check out but it wasn't updated on the computer so I had 2 visits from cleaners & 1 from reception as I hadn't checked out by 11am. There are plastic tables & chairs in the middle of the 2 buildings which were really noisy as people dragged them from 1 table to another & voices echoed so it was difficult to sleep some nights, I needed to keep the window open as is was very hot (not complaining about the weather). However its well situated for public transport & walking into town along the docks. Plenty local shops if you don't want to go into town. Despite the niggles I'd happily return, I'll just remember to ask for a room that doesn't overlook the paved area between the 2 buildings.

Don't get excited when you see the photos it does not really look or feel that way. The staff were friendly but not very helpful, although they do speak english, french and perhaps some spanish. They were not able to solve problems with the wifi. We informed them of a very loud sound our AC unit was making and they just told us to turn the fan to a lower setting, which kept the room hot and humid. When we asked for another room to try for better wifi they just said that it was not the wifi and perhaps we had too much security on ALL of our devices. My husband is a computer programmer and designs software so...???

We have stayed there around 10 nights in June 2014. Everything was perfect, great room, great location. Not too far to the beach and plenty of shops. Went for self catering as we booked a room with kitchenette which had all equipment you may need for a short stay. The only drawback was that the shower head was broken, must have been seen by the cleaning staff, but ignored. Wasn't a big deal, we have bought a new one in Carrefour. The weather in summer is fantastic over there, highly recommended for a low budget holiday. Tip- if you are a smoker, remember to buy your cigarettes during the week as most tobacco shops are closed on Sunday ;)

One has to understand that this is not your typical hotel that charges you for services you do not need. Here, everything is à la carte. So, I do not need someone to come and clean my room every day, I do not pay for it. I need extra towels: I pay for them. At the beginning, we were not very happy, but after a couple of days, once you explore the area and understand you can buy stuff for breakfast nearby and use the fully equipped kitchenette then leave the area to explore the city all day long, it comes out very convenient and worth the price. Besides, the rooms were super quiet and we slept well every single night. The only complaint I had is that the security box in the room never worked and the staff was not able to fix it. However, they offered to change us to another room but we did not want to as we were already comfortably installed. Drugstore, convenience store, delicatessen, fast food (try the tasty shish taouk on Boulevard National) and a very conveniently located metro station that will take you anywhere in town are the best items. Super close to the Docks so one can start exploring the city as soon as one is done with the check in. Trying to save by cutting hotel expenses in Europe: this is your option, just dare to try it!

The receptionist is very helpful. The room is quite small, but it has a pantry, shower room and storage cupboard. The bed is too thin which makes it hard to sleep. Nice and quiet neighbourhood, close to other hotel.

If you want irregular cleaning services, a poor, unorganized breakfast that was always short on food, and an area where you'll fear you'll be kidnapped, then is the hotel for you. Also, the receptionist denied receiving a delivered item and we only got it when we went into the storage room and looked for it ourselves.

This hotel is located within a walking distance from the final stop of a train line. There was pretty much nothing to do in the neighborhood so you would have to go into town to get food or do some shopping. There was some stains on the carpets at the hotel that had been overlooked which took away a bit from the whole experience. The people at the reception were nice and they had good security at night. This being said, be careful walking back when it's really dark. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone on travelling on a budget, however don't set your expectations too high.
