Had a great stay here. Kind and helpful staff. Flexible on check out time. Close to the action in the riad but always felt safe. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Breakfast was reasonable. A relaxing place to stay.
We visited the riad for 4 nights. As the riad is at the end of an alley next to the main square it is not possible to reach it by taxi. Our taxi dropped us near the main square and we had to walk to the riad for about 7 minutes. The riad is serene and it is suprisingly quiet so close to the main square (2 minute walk). The rooms were fine and the showers hot. There is a safety deposit box as well. We had wifi with good speed in the room, the pool and the roof terrace. The breakfast is also nice with fresh orange jus and crepes. The staff was also kind enough to facilitate an early breakfast and improvise some shading at the roof terrace. As you need to pay the city tax at the hotel ensure you have the fixed amount in euro as they don't have euro change. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this serene place in authentic style next to the main square.
Amazing place. You step off the streets of the medina, and within 50 paces you leave the madness behind and you can relax. Don't get me wrong, if you have the energy the Jemaar El Fna and the Souks are wondrous, a chaotic beauty, and I would recommend them anywhere. But to truly appreciate them you have to immerse yourself in them, not visit from a hotel for an hour. I couldn't recommend this Riad enough. The decor is beautiful, the feeling of calm sitting by the pool in the courtyard serene, and it's clean and reassuring. The rooms seemed spacious and well attended in the day. The breakfast was delicious. Wifi didn't work in the room, but we decided that was a great excuse to sit downstairs for a while. And the rooftop terrace was a welcome glance over the cityscape. The place is close to everything, and the door was answered within moments of knocking every time. The staff were eager to help, even helping sort all our transfers out when they failed. Long story short... this riad made our weekend special. You should certainly give them consideration when choosing somewhere to explore the medina from. You will be delighted.
If you are looking to be in the heart of the medina and experience the authenticity of a Riad than look no further, this is a true gem in Marrakech, we had an excellent stay and will definitely go back
If your'e looking for the luxurious modern type hotel where you have elevators, a bellboy with a grand entrance, big outstanding structures and a beautiful aroma to welcome you in then you have been mistaken. It's not your typical internationally known hotel spec where you have a variety of facilities like a gym, or a spa or the likes. It is however very authentic. It's different which is what makes it special. If you coming all the way to Morocco then you'd be silly to stay in a fancy hotel. Riad Hibiscus offers you that Moroccan feeling to your journey keeping you in the mood of travel even when you sleeping. You can feel you not at home (in a good way). The staff were few but so pleasant and so welcoming. The rooms were small but manageable. It's situated within the midst of the infamous flamboyant souks. The hotel itself is a corridor away from the action but tucked away enough not to hear the hustle and bustle. There is one problem though, there are no main roads leading to the hotel since its withing the souks so you must hire a trolley bag carrier (which are readily available) and walk about a Km or so to your hotel. This will enable you to get a fresh feel of the souks before you even start your stay!
Our first, but not our last, visit to marrakech! All staff at this Riad were wonderful! So helpful and nice! They even washed our clothes when we asked where the nearest laundry was.. and brought them back pressed! A beautiful breakfast was included and we had a dinner here one night which was gorgeous ( complete with rose petals on the table). It is such a serene place with the chaos that is jamaa el fna just outside the door. Thank you, Hibiscus!!
Stayed for a long weekend in Marrakech....Riad Hibiscus is idyllic little oasis in the midst of this bustlin medina. If you want a real morrocan authentic experience in Marrakech you have to stay in a riad.Hibiscus is tucked away so it's a quiet tranquil escape after a full day assault on senses in Marrakech. We stayed in top floor room...it was lovely...spacious. only complaint would be creaky bed for slightest movement and our air con did not work for warmth....so room was cold had to use all our blankets at night on bed. Breakfast is ample and riad is beautiful, very romantic and just different. the staff are lovely and friendly.
My husband and I went here for our holiday, and we didn't regret it. The location is perfect, and it is very quiet compared to the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. The staff is super friendly and they took really good care of us. The rooms were a bit dark, but that is to be expected in a really warm country. The riad is super clean and we were very content with housekeeping. The breakfast isn't bad at all. They give you plenty of bread, together with pancakes or a local speciality. The only thing that bothered me a bit that you wake up if people went outside of their room to smoke in the middle of the night and decide to have a chat. However, I would definitely stay here again.
Converted residence with nice big rooms, only about 8 or so in total. Central courtyard with lovely little pool. Rooftop terrace too. Very relaxed, with friendly service. Only complaint is that our wooden bed was rather creaky with the slightest move!!
When we arrived, it was night time and the riad was difficult to locate as most locales we asked were not familiar. Morocco was my first holiday experience while living in the UK. The room that my partner and I had was clean and cosy. Plus, the bath tub had a skypod roof which made our entire stay relaxing and romantic. The bed was pointed toward an extended window, overlooking the pool downstairs. One thing that I did not expect though are the cleaners coming in to our room, which I hoped they would've asked us before we left for a stroll in the city. Our first breakfast was delicious plus they brewed some strong coffee. Unfortunately on our second, we had to leave early for our dessert tour and the keeper didn't consider our request of having an earlier breakfast. However they did pack some flat pancakes for us to go.
