This place rocks the house !!! Antoine and his team is just fantastic, always available, always helpful, always friendly! Clementine is a real retreat from the bustling Marrakech street life, clean, realxed, stylish and with that extra "Swiss touch"... just wonderful! Location is perfect. Will definitely return !
We’ve stayed in riad clementine for 3 nights and it was perfect. We had a superior room on the first ‘floor’. The riad is situated in the middle of busy old Medina, but once you go trough the front door, it’s all quiet. There is a small shallow pool, which is great to cool down in after a warm day in Marrakech. The staff is really friendly and trying to help wherever they can to make your stay even more comfortable
The most excellent place to stay in Marrakech! The staff and the owner did everything to make this as a wonderfull experience. The lay-out , the rooms , the atmosphere is so relaxing that you would feel to never leave this Riad and stay forever.
I stayed at this Riad 5-6 years ago and remembered it as so lovely I booked again for a short trip with my daughter. I chose the first time because I liked the idea of the pool on the first floor - which is ideal, it’s a nice sunny position (if the sun is shining!) The breakfasts are delicious and the courtyard with citrus trees so pretty and relaxing. I love the way the rooms are decorated but the bathrooms are beginning to look a bit tired since my last visit. I forgot that the lady owner barely speaks English so it’s good to have a moderate understanding of French, although the Moroccan staff were very friendly and spoke good English. It is a bit of a trek into the Medina along a very ‘fumey’ road and much dodging of cars and motorbikes required. We found it better to walk round to Bab Doukkla and go down Rue Bab Doukkla through the food market. I had booked a twin room and we were moved to a nicer room upstairs for the first three nights and then back to the original room for the last night - but the bed was made up as a double for some reason which was a bit annoying. The only other niggle was that the ?husband/partner/other owner (he never did introduce himself) spent a lot of time in the courtyard talking or listening on his phone or banging around in the kitchen late at night (til after 1am on two nights) which I found irritating trying to get to sleep. Didn’t hear a peep from other guests. Not sure how the Riad compares to others but I might try another next time. It is very calm and pretty and well run.
I’m writing this while sitting in the courtyard of the Riad Clementine, after a two-day stay. There is a water fountain gently gurgling in the background and the small courtyard radiates calm, separating me from the motorbikes and chaos outside. My room was very clean and pleasant and service has been great. The owner is around, particularly in the evening, and is very friendly and engaging (though, as is typical in Morocco, a knowledge of French is very helpful). Breakfasts were large and tasty. Relative to the six Riads that I visited during my stay, this has been one of the nicest. Strongly recommended.
We stayed for five nights in May. The first of three Riads. The hotel has a lovely pool area and sun beds. Alcohol is for sale, which is priced similarly to restaurants near the Souk. We stayed in room no 1, which was damp smelling, had damp bed linen and very cold with condensation on the windows when we woke on the first morning; advised the aircon could warm the room which it did. The weather also became warmer meaning we could open windows to air the room which also seemed to help. On our fifth and final night, the bathroom had 3 large cockroaches running around which we rid of only to find more the next morning. Glad it was our last night. I think all of the above was not helped by the location of the room; it being on the ground floor, in a dark corner, under trees. I suggest booking a room on the level above. We did ask to move rooms, because of damp feel, but the hotel was fully booked. We had the set menu dinner one evening which was ok; the main was a chicken tagine but I don’t think cooked in the tagine (pot was cold) so just for effect. Since eating at other establishments I can now say that I wouldn’t recommended eating here as we had much better elsewhere and for better value. The location is an easy 10min walk to the souks and square, although the straight road is very smelly and full of fumes because of the vast amount of motorbikes and garages along the road. We did feel safe though and were not bothered or hassled going to and from the hotel but did find men this end of the souks to be more abrupt, trying to get you down roads you didn’t want to go and just made us feel a bit anxious each night. I’m so glad we experienced staying closer to the square as we never experienced any of this there, which I was surprised abouT All in all, an ok stay but so very glad to have moved onto another riad (larger rooms, friendlier hosts, guests and lovely chill out roof top). I wouldn’t recommended this Riad based on our experience but judging by previous reviews I’m the only one to have this opinion so maybe you give it a whirl and see for yourself.
We stayed for 2 nights in January 2018. The location was great, easy walk to old part of the town. They moved us to a room at the upper level. Breakfast was excellent, wifi was good. We bought a painting and left it in the room before we checked out. They were very helpful in mailing it back.
Stayed at the Riad Clementine on 5-8 Nov 2017 on the last leg of my Morocco trip. The Riad is quaint, modern and well maintained and its little kitchen served superb meals! It is also located on a bustling residential street of the Medina but once you step into the Riad, its really quiet and peaceful. Special mention to their front of house staff-Mohammed, he is so helpful, thoughtful and friendly and made our stay such a wonderful experience. It was one of the best Riads my girlfriend and I had stayed on our whole trip! I highly recommend to stay at Riad Clementine if you ever visit Marrakech. Believe me you will love it as much as both of us do!
Even though, I am a winter resident in Marrakech, I've never been to this riad or, in whole honesty, never heard of it. However, our friends from the States were staying there, and invited us for a Christmas Eve dinner. We were a party of seven. One is a vegetarian. The atmosphere in this place was so welcoming and pleasant. We were in an area by ourselves. An elegant table was set in a space warmed by fireplaces. The service was OUTSTANDING. The food was superb. The staff, under keen eye of Miss Angela, was attentive, discreet and helpful. Their Clementine Tajine , as well as everything else served that evening , was perfect. We saw our friends after thirty years, and I couldn't think of any other place in this city where we would have been more comfortable to catch up over excellent food in a quiet place and great conversation. I recommend calling before hand and making reservation. Trust me, you'll love it. .
Angela hosted us at this Riad and she was very pleasant and welcoming. They accommodated all our needs. We only stayed here 1 night, but I wish we would've stayed longer. It is in a busy area of the Medina and close to the wall but you don't feel that business as you step inside. We really enjoyed our time at Riad Clementine.
