A rip off I have been overcharged It seems that there are different prices, watch out. The location is good but nothing amazing, drinks are basic Instead of going here I found many other places, in fact i was spoiled for choices
We stayed there for three nights. When we checked in hotel staff asked us to pay around €30 towards the city tax which I wasn't aware of it. They provided us a room with a bathroom with no door. Breakfast was a little bit issue as the staff wasn't providing the basic service. Had to wait for plates, kfs etc. Nice location and staff were very friendly. Try the hammam / spa which was very good.
Booked as part of a package holiday we had a superior room 103 which was leading to the busy intersection. Room was clean and had TV, nice bathroom and a double bed. However somethings they should improve on such as having an Iron and ironing board, better WiFi in rooms, and better maintenance... However my friend and I found the staff very accommodating, friendly and welcoming from managers to cleaners. The rooftop bar and views are great especially at night. The location is great about 20min walk to the medina, 20DIR taxi ride, and near the Carré Eden shopping centre which has a Carrefour, a food court and lots of shops and cafés. We also found some great restaurants for all budgets nearby : Al Fassia, Le Pain quotidien, Vert Midi etc. I would say the hotel offers good value for money despite the areas they could improve on. Just don’t forget to pack some ear plugs !!
Typical tourist trap , they offered to book a taxi for 20euro, we knew it cost only 2 euro. We grabbed a cab outside the Hotel instead... The manager recommended a restaurant that was a totally disaster with zero other guests, so we went to the restaurant next door (Comp toir) which was a success and absolutely amazing!
This hotel used to be good about 5 years ago,but seems to have gone into a steady decline, it obviously needs a bit of money spending on it and now has a rather tired, almost grubby feel to it, which is a real shame as the location is excellent, close to great restaurants like L'Annexe, Le Loft and nightclubs like Montecristo. My room (508)had a very strong drain/sewage smell to it, bedside light not working, toilet seat broken, the Sky Bar too was looking a bit tatty in the harsh light of day but perhaps the worst was the breakfast buffet. This used to be pretty much ok but is now an organizational meltdown, no plates , no cutlery and no hot food both mornings we were there at 8am.Total shambles. Whilst I´ll definately be coming back to Marrakech, I won´t be coming back here.
I was told I should visit this Sky-Bar as the views were excellent and drinks and staff service was also superb. They were right. It was a very enjoyable and affordable visit. I would certainly recommend a visit for you to judge it also.
Recently travelled to Marrakech, stayed at La Renaissance quite a basic hotel for a 4* rating, however, location was good. No major issues apart from unable to use telephone in room to contact reception, house keeping staff were asked for an iron on day 1 I’ve returned back to England and still no iron. Spa was pricey but that’s what you would expect from a hotel. Hotel porter Ishaam was very helpful.
This hotel with bar is located in the city center. If you only (!!) want to have a view overlooking Marrakech and to have a drink then you should take the lift to the terrace on the 6 th floor. There the funiture/ambiance is simple and worn out. The service is poor, the drinks are expensive and even the view was not impressive for me. There you cannot order a coffee (says the waiter and forced us to order (expensive) alcohol. Of course we ordered a drink: Vodka pure without ice cubes and without a lemon. And then it was served with ice cubes and with a piece of lemon. That means it was opposite to what we ordered. So we rejected it. Then it was corrected and we received it in the same glass back and with Vodka. After a while we went downstairs and sat down to get a coffee and to order a wine. Here the ambiance was better. But the room was almost dark. We got informed that only one sort of wine was available. Finally we got some Pizza from the house. My individual personal rating: View from the terrace: 3-4 points Terrace ambiance: 2 points Service in the terrace: 1 points Price and value for money on the terrace: 2 points Groundfloor ambiance: 3 points Groundfloor prices/value for money: 3 points

Came here with friends and we decided to stay here as the location was very appealing. It’s right in the heart of gueliz so very close to shops, restaurants and a few nightclubs if you like to go out. Staff were very friendly and spoke good English. We booked the deluxe suite as they was a few of us and the price was reasonable too. The sky bar situated at the top of the hotel is a must try. Overall great visit and stay, i would definitely come back again.
