La Renaissance Hotel4.0 out of 5.0

An excellent place to chill out after dark and look at the vista of Marrakech before you. Prices are as you would expect. Quality Shisha available. The music can be variable but is usually chilled. The view makes everything else insignificant after dark.
Good outdoor seating, nice views. Awful music - loud swearing/racist music when more chilled music is called for. Cocktails average MAD 90 and food was good. Nice stop, pity about the music which drowns out any conversation.
This hotel is at the very heart of the European district and perfectly placed for the Majorelle Garden with the Souks a 20 minute walk away. We had upgraded to a suite which didn't add much to the price but gave is a huge bathroom with bath and wet room , two balconies, and a massive lounge sleeping area. Our room overlooked Mohammed V which is the main route to the souks and despite how busy it was we didn't get disturbed by any noise. It's amazing to swim in the pool whilst looking down on the streets below and when we where there it was 45c so we spent a lot of time cooling down. The breakfast was either buffet or a selection served at your table and had a good variety of pastries, sausage, egg, meats, cheese, cereal and the usual continental offerings. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly and if I was to visit again would have no hesitation in coming back to the Renaissance.
We originally had another hotel booked as were very disappointed with it so we looked around for a new hotel. That's when we found La Renaissance. We stayed in the suite which was very beautiful. Very spacious and lovely decor. The room was very clean. Bathroom always kept tidy with clean towels and shampoos daily. Mini bar always restocked and anything else we needed was only one phone call away. We also got our clothes dry cleaned a lot and they would always made sure we got them back for when we needed them even if it was very last minute. Our favourite part was staying on the balcony and looking down at the massive roundabout and all the manic driving and motorbikes whizzing past. Breakfast also very nice. Fresh food daily and a choice of cooked food too. We loved the cheesy omelettes, mint teas and cappuccinos. The Staff are all very friendly and attentive and helped us with anything we needed through out our stay. Sala, Moussa, Zakaria helped us a lot during our stay too. Hicham the door man was someone who went above and beyond for us. When my partner was sleeping he took me to a hair salon as I didn't know the area well and it was 9pm and dark out. He also picked me up when I was finished and brang me back to the hotel safe and sound. He took us to money exchanges and also found a barber for my partner took us there and tried his best to translate. Not forgetting he also booked us a horse ride tour around the city Overall we felt very welcomed and was sad to leave. It made our stay in Marrakesh better then we expected.
I busted this hotel for two days on business, checking in was good, and the rooms are decent enough, with a stocked fridge as well. Both mornings I left before breakfast, but I did visit the sky Bar one evening on the 6 floor, Where there was a restaurant. The only issue I had was no wifi in my room, which would have been a help!
The room was exceptionally large, well furnished, and clean. The bathroom was modern, luxurious and almost as large as the bed - sitting room. Staff were really friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate my rather strange (to them) dietary requirements. This hotel is well located as i found it an easy walk to beautiful gardens, the market square, mosques and other places of architectural and cultural interest in the city. Also has an abundance of good bars and restaurants in the area if you wish to eat elsewhere. I will ddefinitely be staying there when next I'm in Marrakesh.
During a stay in Marrakech we spent a day wandering around the New Town area. Although most of it disappointed compared to the Souks the Sky Bar did not. We ended up spending about 3 hours here, drank cocktails, ate dinner and watched the sunset. Probably the best views in Marrakech, with a decent soundtrack and excellent cocktails. I also enjoyed a very tasty steak. Service was also good, the team were working very hard. I should say that its quite pricy compared to other places, but the venue was worth it.
I stayed here for four nights with my mum. When we walked in the lobby area it looked decent enough but when we got to our room we were slightly disappointed. The hairdryer was missing, the closet door wouldn't open, the air condition wasn't working. I complained about the air-con but it wasn't fixed but they sent someone over to fix the closet door and the hairdryer. Even through we visited during winter, the temperature during the day could rise up to 20 which is hot for UK residence if we are not used to it. The hotel is situated in a busy road so it could get very noisy at night when you are trying to sleep. So it was a compromises between leaving the window open to cool the room down or close it and suffocate in the heat. Breakfast was okeyish not one of my favorite but I can live with it. The concierge service is good but bear in mind they will quote you the maximum rate they can extort from you. For tours and day trips to go the bazar and look for local agents therr are plenty of them around. I booked a taxi from the airport to this hotel for €10 but then on our way back we requested to arrange a taxi and they got someone who charged us €20 for the ride. We were running late so just went for it. Location was good and it was in the new town. Would I stay here again? NO!
I stayed 2 night at this hotel. The stay was awsome the room was clean. Staff was good too. Keep it up good job. The only remark i have that its hard to park your car near by the hotel and the breakfast was ok.
Our room was very comfortable and modern. The noise of the street didn't disturb us and during the night it was not loud at all. The breakfast was very good. Fresh baked pancakes, fresh orange juice and lots of healthy options. You should consider this hotel if you don't want to stay in a riad but still want to be central.
