I went to Marrakech from London on Friday 7th July. I booked two rooms for my family and the rooms I received was not as shown as on the picture and it was disgusting. The towel and bed sheet had stains and the bed was broken. One of the rooms the air conditioning unit just went bust and smoke filled the room. The hotel refused to help and were rude. The hotel advertises €1.60 tax per night per person and demaded a figure at the time of check in. The tax was paid. But during check out they demanded more and after contacting my travel agent I realised the Hotel is doing this on a regular basis and scamming vulnerable customers. Worst customer service ever and Hotel does not even deserve one star. Staff and receptionist are soo rude. Whoever books this hotel will receive a bad unclean hotel room, hotel staff asking for bribe and ripping customers off and also rude behaviour.
towels, bed sheets & toilet was dirty and just as we arrived had to tell them. No kettle in room and fridge was unplugged. Breakfast was very poor and had to wait for 10 min to tell someone the tea or,,, is finished. Very poor service. I would not recommend at all. Pay a little more and get a better service.
The room was clean. Missing night tables and a shelf to lay down suitcase. The water flow in the shower goes from almost none to moderate repeatedly, and from hot to cold, independantly. Food in dining room was decent. Only mineral water is served and charged for.
After reading previous reviews on this hotel we were a little worried about going there but we always keep an open mind and judge for ourselves. We found the reception staff helpful, friendly and welcoming nothing was to much trouble. The hotel itself proberly could do with updating but was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was continental, lovely breads and something different everyday ( you are not going to get full english in a muslin country as you also are not going to get alcohol). If you want 7star luxury then book Royal Mansour you get what you pay for in this life. We had a happy 4 days at Hotel Meriem and would go back. Plus we loved Marrakech.
The hotel is well placed close to the railstation and near the airport, but the installations are not what i expected for a four star hotel. I can say that its clean and has a pool, but dont expect a bargain, what you pay is what you get and for 37e its acceptable Food is scarce and no waterbottles or similar in the rooms.
I was with a group on a trip to Morocco and all three hotels that we stayed at were 4 stars, but according to European standards they were more like 3 stars. Hotel Meriem was no exception - decent lobby area that could mislead you and very outdated rooms. The pictures shown on hotel reservation sites are misleading, our room was totally different. Maybe there is a renovated part, but we were not there. It was relatively clean, basic soap was the only toiletry available in the bathroom, uncomfortable pillows, bad breakfast, lousy internet connection only in the lobby, unfriendly reception staff. Not good value for money. The location is good, but stay away from this hotel if you can.
It was my first experience of Morocco so didn't know what to expect. This place didn't fill me with great expectations for the remainder of my tour. However it proved to be one of the poor places on offer. The bed was hard, pillows uncomfortable but the worse thing was the air conditioning which didn't work. This meant I had to leave the window open all night and being near a main road the noise from the traffic was loud.
Hotel Meriem is well located in Marrakesh, you can easily go walking to any place near the city center. Quality of food is excellent Reception and all the hotel crew are very friendly and helpful I would recommend Hotel Meriem to all my family and friends
We came to this Hotel on the 2nd April to 6th April 2017.What they offered us before we came, they didn't provide us. Customers Services was very poor, Staff was very Rude,Hotel Restaurant was poor &provided old stale food with less quantity. We ask them can bring some more food but they said it's all finished even though we paid the money for the food before we went. All We can say is that it's RUBBISH! I don't recommend anyone go to this Hotel & waste their money. We had the worst holiday ever. You call yourself a 4 star Hotel but it's nothing compared to 1 Star
Hotel is very clean great central location no way to get even a water in the evening 90%of the staff were very helpful pool only gets sun for a few hours a day didn't even try the food because breakfast was terrible but why I only gave it two stars is because it's impossible to get a good nights sleep every door has to be slammed to be shut early morning late at night constantly being woke up I slept for twelve hours on my return home shattered
