This was our starting and ending point for South Morocco Discovery. Pros: Good central Marrakech location Ice cold AC - this can be rare in Morocco!! Comfortable bed Helpful staff Pool Bar, restaurant on site Relatively close to airport (20min) Strong free wifi Rooftop bar Cons: -Not clean enough - the floor in the bathroom was filthy with big clumps of hair which was gross. The bedroom floor tiles could use a good washing. Not sure if this is true of all rooms but it was of of ours. -Far from Square. Everyone wants to go to the main square and it is a 25 minute bus or cab ride away. Overall the hotel pros outweighed the cons, they just need to clean the rooms more thoroughly..
I had been on an amazing 15 day tour with The tour company Intrepid. Our last nights were in hotel Le Caspien. It's situated in a newer part of town a simple bus ride to the Medina or a 20 dirham taxi ride. The hotel was charming. Staff excellent. Rooms were well appointed clean and comfi. They have a fabulous restaurant and a pool for cooling off. It is very near modern shops and a mall if you have finished bartering in the fabulous souks and want a different shopping experience. I would recommend this hotel.
We stayed at Hotel Le Caspien as part of a group tour and were very pleased with our time here. We dined here on our last night with the group which was also a fantastic experience. For starters, we went for the baked camembert with figs and walnuts - so delicious! Then for mains, we chose the lamb shank with mashed potato and other roasted vegetables. Also very tasty! Restaurant had a lovely layout and bar with a wide range of wines and cocktails. The cosmopolitans were very well made. Decently priced, would dine here again for sure.
Great hotel .. in a good location . Rooms cleaned daily Breakfast had good variety.. Food was a bit pricey in the evening but tasted fantastic Overall for the price you will find it hard to beat Roof terrace could do with a bit more space for Sunbed's always seemed to be moving tables and chairs each morning to get space .. pool is located down on the ground floor so only way to cool off is a shower ... also you have to walk through restaurant to get to pool which is a bit awkward
We stated here in December 2016 for four nights and the hotel was great. The hotel has the characteristically Moroccan staircase and lighting, with a particularly beautiful reception. the rooms were pretty, the bathroom basic but fine. The whole hotel was very clean. Breakfast was standard continental, very nice with lots of french influenced pastries. But the restaurant was where the food really stood out - it was a little but more exspensive than elsewhere in town but after a long day trip were decided to eat at the hotel, and we had a beautiful meal. Staff were really lovely, and we were able to exchange our money at the end of our trip for a reasonable exchange rate which was also really helpful. Overall we had a really great stay!
We were wrapping up our multi-week tour of Morocco and after experiencing many different types of lodgings Le Caspien was the perfect final hotel. Nice sized room, elevators, working air conditioning, English speaking TVs, good Wifi, nice bathroom and finally a very good breakfast. Just a few blocks from the main street where you can catch a bus to the Marrakesh Medina. Rooms were clean and quiet. The bar was small but very nice and the restaurant provided a very nice final dinner for our tour group. We had a late flight out of Marrakesh so they stored our bags and ordered up a taxi to get us to the airport with plenty of time to spare. All in all a very enjoyable stay and we certainly recommend it for anyone coming thru Marrakesh.
What a nice hotel rooms where a good size. The staff very friendly and good amazing. There is a roof bar but for some reason this did not seem to be used but you can use the area and take drinks up yourself. We had breakfast included and this was great. All in all a lovely oasis in a bustling city
We ate here twice and it was fantastic food and service both times. The wait staff were friendly and fun and the food was excellent. The live music was very entertaining and the singer had a great voice and really entertained our group. Drinks (alcoholic and non) were good and prices fair. Higher than others in the area but the food was also better. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing night.
Wow. Trying. Trying to review the restaurant food in the correct spot in this handy hotel. In this case served up in the bar area and beautifully done (please review my photos). Lively, attentive and engaging staff to guide you a great last evening ... perfectly for our small travel group.
This hotel has to be one of the best hotels I've been to and especially for the price ... if you want somewhere calm and relaxing then this is the place. The walk to the medina is not too far and the staff are more than happy to help you find your way around Marrakech.. from trips to the camels and printing you departure ticket, they were very helpful! The only problem I encountered was being accused of not paying for a drink of only (20mdh) on the morning of departure...I would recommend not getting things put on your tab but just paying it immediately instead. Overall I would definitely use this service/hotel again.
