Perfectly located amazing hotel. beautiful interior design. High level service. great food, good wine selection. We were in three luxury hotels in Marrakech and Dar Rhizlane is our favorite. we will be back! :)

Great food a must if your in the new town of Marrakech lovely relaxing atmosphere the hostess was very attentive polite and helpful we ordered the Morrocan salad and spring rolls and lamb tagine and assortment of desserts

This boutique hotel was the perfect place for my mother, brother and I to visit Marrakesh for 4 nights. Check-In: We arrived a bit early for check-in and our rooms were not ready yet. However we were still welcomed with some delicious Moroccan tea and offered to sit next to the pool while they were completing the last checks on our room. Not long after, our rooms were ready and we were pleased to hear that we were upgraded to a "suite" (the shared living room becomes private when you occupy the two rooms). Reception Staff: A special thank you to Fatima, Ousman (not sure about the name), Soumeya and Mohamed (night manager) who were very nice with us. Thank you again for making us feel special. The Rooms: The rooms were located on the first floor of the main building and were of descent size considering the size (20 rooms total if I remember well) and type of hotel with enough room to move around (we also had the living room, so space was not an issue). F&B: Breakfast: In one word: A Feast. There are so many items: pastries, bread, crepes/pancakes, fresh orange, variable types of eggs, fruit salad, yogurt. You have 5 different menus, however they are almost all identical and you can get everything if you just ask them. Most of the time we ate at the restaurants' tables, because the tables next to the pool were getting occupied very quickly. We only had that luxury on our last day Lunch/Dinner: We skipped lunch everyday because the breakfast feast was plenty enough to last until dinner. The dinner was also very good. F&B Staff: Very friendly and smiling. A special thank you to the F&B manager (whom I forgot the name, sorry), who served us most of the time. His description of each menu dishes is perfect. Amenities: Swimming Pool: a bit cold, but that because of the temperature shock (35 to 25 degrees). Its a bit hard to swim laps, for which i suggest to do it on the edge. Location and proximity to city: The hotel has its own taxi lane and they always have one available no matter the time. We had to go somewhere at 11pm and there was a taxi waiting for us. Tip: always arrange the taxi rate with the hotel, as they (the taxi drivers) often give you a higher rate. If you like walking under the sun, I suggest to walk around 20min until the Medina (city walls) and to the Jemaa el-Fna square. Tip on rooms: If you book two rooms, you can have a private living room / suite. Thank you again to all the staff. I will recommend this GEM to all my friends and relatives visiting Marrakesh in the future.

We arrived on the first day of our honeymoon to the usual Morrocan tea and sat whilst we were refreshed, finally we'd arrived. After the tea we were escorted to our ground floor room with garden and entered to find the flowers (roses which smelled incredible) and a bottle of champagne I'd requested for my now WIFE!! Three of the hotel staff followed us into the room and cheered and clapped when the doors were opened, it was a very lovely moment and we all laughed (and nearly cried). Super! The room was lovely, Morrocan with some modern touches, the bed was large and comfortable. We lay and drank champagne whilst recovering form our journey until we slept. The next morning we were up and ready to experience breakfast, we'd cheated by reading everything in the room the night before.... we love hotel breakfasts and get ourselves far too excited about them. We weren't disappointed. Fresh orange, fruit salad, three different types of pancakes, pastries, coffee, herbal teas, eggs however you like them and fresh yogurt which you can swamp in the most incredible honey we've ever tasted, oh why did we not bring any home? There are even Morrocan specialities such as the egg and lamb tagine, but lamb for breakfast is definitely not for the faint hearted. All of this served around the pool as the sun comes up over you, very peaceful and serene. Our only comment would be, there are 5 breakfasts to choose from and all are almost identical except the last course, you get almost everything already mentioned on every breakfast, so after a few days (we stayed 6 nights split as we also visited Fes) you do get very bored of seeing the same thing and there is an awful lot of it. But still, very nice. The pool is very nice, small but beautifully designed, the double sunbeds all the way round are thick matteresses with fitted towelling and pillows, and there are two rolled towels waiting for you on each, jasmine and other spectacular florals hang above you, its almost perfect. The only issue here is that the is no sun on any of the beds except one until almost noon, and on a busy hotel day there are no beds as we found on the second leg of our trip. Lunch is served wherever you'd like it, the outside bar area is very nice, the lunch and dinner tables sit shaded under palms, its all very well thought out and the small fountains around the courtyard help the steady escape from the day to day. Taxis run from right outside the door and all the staff are willing to give you ideas of places to go. (more in the next reviews) For the first two nights there were two large work parties in the restaurant, it does mean you are a little cut off and these do dominate, the other nights were quieter. The food in the restaurant is very good, Morrocan salads often to start and despite all the Morrocan specialities, the simpler dishes like the lamb or chicken skewers were so tasty I had them more than once. We booked in for a double Hammam and massage on the first day. WOW WOW WOW, very romantic and ever so slightly sexy too. The spa is very nice and the team in there are very good and a bit giggly. We really loved it and would recommend the royal package. We looked so healthy for days afterwards, it looked like we'd already been on holiday for a week. The hotel is only 5 mins (or less) to the main square, 20 or 30 dhms so roughly £2. Or you could walk through gardens to get there. There are many restaurants near to the hotel outside of the medina also and it is situated in the wealthy area of town. The airport is 10 mins by taxi and 100dhms taxi or 200dhms hotel transfer. All in all, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, they made us feel very at home. The only issue is the lack of sunbeds as the space around the pool is small so it can be disappointing in the afternoon when everyone is done exploring and you just want to lay in the sun and dip in the pool. Otherwise, a great stay and we'd recommend

We came here to relax, do nothing, eat fabulous food, get sun and be alone. Mission accomplished and very very pleased! Best holiday ever. The staff could not do enough for us! Always tending to our needs- porter immediately appeared once out of our taxi from the airport which is 7 minutes away and we never had to lift a finger after that. We were constantly catered to, pampered and even upgraded without prompting. Fantastic, large characterful suite with a garden room and fab 2 person walk in rain shower with peekaboo glass into the bedroom ;) Proved very fun indeed!! The staff made reservations for us at other restaurants, got us taxis and negotiated all our taxi rates for us. Food was fabulous. Outdoor garden restaurant fab. Meals were great.

I went with my mother for a long weekend to Marrakech and the hotel was simply an amazing choice. The staff is very friendly and the hotel itself is a hidden jewel. The food is also very good! Highly recommended!

But please don't think this is a business hotel. Dar rhizlane is a place I would return to time and again ... and yes Marrakech gets you like that! There are hotels that are more luxurious, more spacious, grander, but not one is more genuinely friendly and desirous of giving you a truly memorable stay. I found Marrakech really special, totally experiential, the people are not over-averagely wealthy but they are HAPPY. And they are pleased their visitors find their country so fascinating - full of colour, perfume, charm and human warmth. And that is Dar Rhizlane. Martine, the manager is obviously not local but she is present, attentive, warmly welcoming. Fatima at Reception is exceptional, and all the rest of the staff, from first to last, from the opening of the door on arrival - well it's like you were a guest in their home, This says a lot for the management and the proprietors. Loved this place. A misura d'uomo. Don't miss the lovely restaurant close to the pool and do have their mojitos, virgin or not, - mint is never more perfumed than in Morocco - after dinner (or before) ... and mint tea at breakfast. Can't wait for Pure next year .... will definitely be back! Martine and Fatima, can you organise us a cooking lesson?

My husband and I stayed here for one night immediately after our wedding in Marrakech at the beginning of the month. We travel to Morocco often and have stayed in all manner of 5 star hotels but had never had the opportunity to stay at Dar Rhizlane, so we were excited to try it out. When we arrived at the hotel, we told the staff it was our honeymoon and that we had just had our wedding the few days before so when the Manageress said she would sort something out and escorted us to our room, we thought they may have given us a complimentary upgrade as a gesture of goodwill. Alas, the room was a shoebox - especially considering the price that we paid - which is on the high side considering average rates for five star hotels in the city. They even went so far as to say they were fully booked, yet when I checked on expedia and booking.com - they still had a number of rooms available for that evening! Not the best way to handle the situation at all - especially as the manageress had told us at length about the wedding they had just hosted for a 'VIP' and how 'well' they manage celebrations and occasions. Later that evening, they also had a huge issue with us ordering some glasses so that we could have some of the leftover drinks from our wedding, even though we ordered wines, beers, soft drinks etc through their bar. Just generally handling the situation in the least diplomatic way possible. In terms of the accommodation - the bed took up the entire room, and there was very little floor space to lay down our luggage. The toilet was right near the door, adjacent to the communal living space between 4 other rooms which isn't ideal. You open your curtains and you can see straight into another bedroom which definitely doesn't offer privacy or discretion! It was like being in a riad in the centre of the medina which is very charming and cosy, but not always the most practical - hence the decision to stay out of the medina. But at triple the price with the same floorspace - I really wish we hadn't! The minibar fridge had a see-through door with a bright light shining through all night, so eventually i had to get up and cover it with some clothes to stop the light hindering our sleep. The 'complimentary' breakfast we ordered didn't come with half of the items on the menu that should have been included. After leaving breakfast, we were chased down by a staff member with a bill for 30Dirhams for the water that we had during breakfast! Just ridiculous! Service was slow and sluggish, and the attitudes of the FOH staff were poor and disinterested. The pool area is really nice, but be warned - it's so quiet that every conversation is amplified - so again, no privacy for guests. Also uncomfortable to have the Manageress marching back and forth constantly whilst trying to relax. A complete letdown on our honeymoon, and we definitely won't be back.

Good restaurant but not for longer than 5 days because of not much variety (stayed 7 days). After a few days of our stay they decided to poison the cats at dinner time. Poisoned meat was placed near playing children! The cats crawled under our table and died! Not a nice experience!

Delicious meal! We did the three course set menu and it was phenomenal! Service was great. You most do the Moroccan starters. 14 tiny plates of amazing food. Then we had lamb. Delish! We had beer and wine and there was a few guys playing traditional music
