This hotel was beautiful. The gardens, rooms, pool, breakfast were all amazing. We slept with the windows open and could hear the birds in the morning. We would highly recommend this hotel. We needed to meet a group at a nearby hotel, and the staff personally carried our bags down the street. Very safe and charming...
All very good from the initial welcome to the genuine thanks and help when leaving. An excellent suite of rooms that suited our needs perfectly. All staff were first class with no request appearing difficult or too much trouble. The restaurant was excellent with every meal to a high standard. Its about a mile to walk to the Souk area but woth that for the peace.
We stayed for 3 nights with family of 6, booked convives suite. The hotel has everywhere the traditional feel. Has a lovely ambience all over and the same place looks different at different times of the day! Housekeeping was outstanding, we were surprised to see whenever we returned to the rooms after breakfast or lunch or dinner the beds were made, curtains were opened or closed as per the day and bathrooms were cleaned and swapped with fresh towels without any prompts. Most astonishing thing noticed was the temperature which was regulated as per the day, the room was well prepared warm at night so that we could straight go for a relaxing sleep. Enjoyed having mint tea near poolside. Breakfast was fabulous with both Moroccan and English variety. Loved the Moroccan bread called m'semen. The lady at Reception, Fatima is praiseworthy. She has been an excellent host and made our stay memorable. She had arranged a surprise chocolate cake with the live band to sing the birthday song in different languages in our guest room which has made the occasion extra special. Staff are commendable, always ready to help and provide an extra care. They help to get a taxi and negotiate the price for you which is very important to bargain when you are not used to such system and language barrier. Always good to ask for the round trip, so that the taxi driver shows you a picking point at destination and fixes a time so that you are brought back to the hotel and do payment at the end, which is cheap and best. At 10 min walk there is Menara Mall from hotel. We even walked to Jama Al Fana which took us 30-35 min and on return took horse tanga to the hotel. At hotel we have used the hammam and spa which was traditional, relaxing and of high standard.
Perfectly located small (boutique type) hotel with very unique ambiance, excellent service and amazing design. It was really special and memorable experience to discover Marrakech - I spent 5 nights in Dar Rhizlane in suite Marwane (two living rooms - one with real fireplace, another one with kind of chillout, bedroom and big terrace). When I will be visiting Marrakech again I have many doubts that I will be considering any alternative accomodation.
Booked dinner at Dar Rhizlane and were initially impressed by ambience and decor. However, service extremely slow and kept waiting in an ante room where door would not close and bitterly cold wind blowing through. Eventually drinks arrived and table ready. Menu very limited but food was served almost cold. The staff deducted cost of drinks but service and delivery of food spoiled our evening.
We stayed for three nights at the Dar Rhizlane and experienced pure luxury. The whole hotel although small felt like you had the whole run of the hotel, which had amazing grounds and the pool area was perfect to catch up on those sun rays. The breakfast choice is enormous and offers every choice possible and also after sampling the lunch and dinner, we were blown away by the choices, tastes and size of the dishes. All the staff were happy, willing to help and sincere. The rooms we stayed in were out of this world, spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Although chilly on an evening being offered an open fire in your own room made it cosy and intimate. Try the spa, well worth a visit to unwind and be spoilt for an hour or so.
I stayed in Dar Rhizlane at the end of my cross-country trip in Morocco. It was such a wonderful way to end our trip. I stayed in the suite located next to the reception and I'm glad we were there. I visited other rooms and it was a lot more convenient to stay on the first floor because the ceilings are fairly high and it can take a while to go up and down. The food and the drinks were delicious, all the details, the design of the pool, the friendliness of everyone working there. It was a truly enjoyable experience and I would not hesitate twice to come back!
Beautiful hotel, calme but close to all the interesting sites to visit in Marrakech.Genuinly friendly and helpful staff (special thanks to charming Fatima, our reception angel) Really good breakfast and an excellent restaurant ( don’t miss the selection of marrocan salads) I could recommend this place to any of my friends Hope to be back really soon!
My wife, daughter and I had the pleasure of spending a week over new year at the Dar Rhizlane. A truly memorable week at a great hotel. The hotel was everything we wanted for a short break away from an English winter, added to which we had a beautiful traditional Moroccan suite, with a large balcony and two double bedrooms. We enjoyed great food, lounging by the pool, coupled with attentive staff to look after our every need. The hotel is in a great location, quiet, but only a 20 minute walk or a 50 dirham cab ride from the main attractions, The Koutoubia Mosque, The Medina, Jemaa el-Fnaa etc. In addition the shopping and restaurants of the Gueliz district are only a short cab ride away. My thanks to all the staff for looking after us so well during our stay and we very much look forward to returning.
We stayed here again for a week and enjoyed it just as much as last year. A big thank you to the very friendly staff, chef of fabulous restaurant and the very kind and competent general manager. We will return next year!
