We have stayed here before and keep coming back. The prices are very reasonable and we adore the Romantico Suite! It is double the regular rooms and has a very large balcony with lots of beautiful bougainvillea throughout the property. The room has a well stocked kitchen and also has a washer/dryer which is such a plus. The king bed is backed with a concrete decorative shell with romantic lighting. There is a second bedroom if needed. This place is built on a hill, so there are lots of steps. The restaurant is next to the pool and the breakfast is wonderful. Service is terrific and the food is cooked to order. I love the chilaquiles. The restaurant is open through the day and the bar opens in the afternoon. We enjoy sitting on the beach under a palapa. This is a great spot to relax, read, nap. There is a bus that comes by about every half hour and takes you down to the main street, which is quite a walk away from the hotel. We love this place for a completely relaxing and stress free vacation. We have stayed here 6 times and enjoyed every visit.

My partner and I have been travelling to the Manzanillo area for the last 11 years and staying at Dolphin Cove. This is a boutique hotel - not an all inclusive. There are many stairs & ramps to navigate. If you are not fit, have mobility issues -- this is not the place for you. All the rooms overlook the bay, have wonderful views & the landscaping IS BEAUTIFUL!!! The staff at this hotel are good and alot of them have been there for many years. If you have any needs or requests, they are VERY helpful. Lorenne, in reservations, has always been our "go to person" & we have always been pleased with her service. As well, Kayla in the reception area -- a delight to be around. She always has a warm smile, speaks great English and again, just a really helpful person. This hotel has Canadian and US long term stays (from 1 month to 5 months). During the week, the hotel is quiet and peaceful BUT the weekends, for the most part, are very busy & takes on a very different flavour. Families from the surrounding area of Manzanillo come for the weekend. Pool Area: I have seen some improvements around the pool area in terms of the way people behave on weekends BUT I still note that improvements need to be made. They are: 1. NO SMOKING AT THE POOL. This was a real problem, for some reason this year, even though when you check-in you are given a sheet of 'RULES" and also this is posted on the door of the hotel room. It actually is a Federal Law in Mexico. One day, there was a man who was smoking cigarettes continously and then throwing his LIT cigarette butts on the pool deck. WHAT? Who does this? Recommendation: Maybe a sign posted on the picnic tables and in the area that this is a smoke free area. 2. NO EATING IN THE POOL OR DRINKING. This is just good common sense and it absolutely is disgusting to think that people think this is OK. It is NOT. This has been an ongoing issue for many years. Recommendation: I would suggest during the busy weekends, that having a staff member assigned to the pool to "supervise" and also keep the pool area tidy, would be of great benefit. Usually at days end, there are empty containers, glasses, napkins strewn around the pool deck, on the tables & it just doesn't look great. We have noted that security guard does make rounds to the pool (maybe once or twice) but it just is not enough. Restaurant: The Paradise restaurant has good food, fairly decently priced although while we were there prices did increase. Three staff members - Hugo, Zinny & Isabel - are an asset as servers. They provide consistently good service, are always working hard to ensure you are satisfied.. just really good people. All in all, this hotel has served us well over the years.

Just returned from a one-week stay. The views are great from your balcony and everywhere else on the property. Our studio room was bright and spacious with a nice-sized kitchen. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool area was spacious and bar staff great! Restaurant was lovely with good and reasonably priced food. Short walk along the beach to other restaurants at Las Hadas, so lots of choices. Excellent value! We'll be going back for sure!

We really enjoyed our vacation at Dolphin Cove Inn. It was exactly what we were looking for as we wanted to avoid the craziness of a big all inclusive. The room was exactly as promised and the terrace & view were even better in person. We enjoyed the pool, restaurant and quiet beach. Many nights we walked down to the nearby marina for more restaurant selections and amazing gelato for dessert. Yes, there are lots of stairs, but we didn't see this as an issue - good exercise! We didn't rent a car and it was so easy to catch the bus right outside the lobby, or ask for a cab. The staff is so helpful and friendly and the front desk staff especially really made our vacation memorable. We will definitely be back!

We always order the same thing - shrimp pasta and we are never disappointed. Lots of shrimp, brig helping of noodles ala dente and a creamy white sauce with just a hint of jalapeño. Outside listening to the ocean and a very good guitarist. Terrific Friday evening.

We just finished a week long stay at the Dolphin Cove with another couple, a mixed experience for sure! First, the pros - - the setting overlooking the Manzanillo harbour is spectacular, one of the reasons we chose to stay there, beautiful! - the small pool area and onsite restaurant are adequate and in a beautiful setting on the hotel grounds, meals were fairly priced and tasteful, we found service to be excellent. - we found the rooms to be kept clean and well maintained as were the hotel grounds. - our experience with the staff we encountered was pleasant, though our limited Spanish was tested often as only a few spoke much, if any, English. As for the cons - - uncertain what the exact cause was, but the women woke up with itchy bites on their legs and arms several mornings. We talked to another couple who had also experienced similar bites. - some of the units are privately owned condos and whether it was the owners or their rental guests, several nights we were kept up late by loud music. Though they tried, the front desk staff weren’t always effective in bringing down the volume. - we knew from the pics that there were a lot of stairs, but we didn’t realize that there were a LOT of stairs and ramps that are pretty much unavoidable and not for anyone physically challenged, though golf carts if requested will transport people around if needed. - our bed was really hard, not sure I would have ever gotten comfortable sleeping on it. Would we book again, probably not without reassurances from hotel management. As well, besides the ‘cons’, the wifi is only available in the hotel lobby and at the restaurant and pool area which is inconvenient nowadays. And while not huge, we prefer being able to walk more places for meals and such and not have to rely on taking a taxi or bus to go offsite other than the resort next door. Would we recommend it, if the “pros out weigh the cons” for you, then absolutely go for it.

We were at this restaurant last week. The food is simple and reasonably good. Prices are average but the service was terrible. There were 3 large tables seated and only two waiters on duty for liquor and meal service. It appeared that they were also doing the cooking. Our table received the first plate approximately an hour after arriving. The remaining four orders were brought when first meal was almost consumed. Improve evening service and this is an excellent restaurant. A bit difficult to locate the first time but worth it for at the very least lunch.

The hotel itself, minus the single worst bed I have EVER slept on, is nicely situated and comfortably run down. The staff is attentive and it's clean BUT the nightclub down the bay is horrendous. There is literally no place in the room, and we were half underground, that you could hide from the noise. Combine astonishing volume and a painfully uncomfortable bed and you are in for a long night at least three nights a week. If there was any consolation it was in the knowledge that the folks next door at Las Hadas were suffering, too. And look at the photo to see the terrible way they treat their employees. Time is too short to listen to Las Bougainvilleas and their music. Life is too short to sleep on a bed so hard you wake up barely able function because of back pain. No, sadly, never again.

Fun place to stay. Lots of up and down so beware if your knees are gimpy .Although the rooms are older everything worked and they were comfortable and had full kitchen and a nice refrigerator. Pleasant and helpful staff.

This hotel has amazing views from the rooms; however, the rooms are really showing their age... the towels are extremely thin and worn, the beds are a hit/miss, the sheets and bed covers have also seen better days; but, this is still a good place to land to enjoy the tropical heat/sun; the workers keep the place clean and it's a pleasant stay.
