Peaceful and cozy

We enjoyed our quiet and private beach, fire pit space and expansive deck. We also loved the homes proximity to up north Michigan towns and experiences. Check in was a breeze, communication with host was top notch and timely. Listing beat expectations and allowed us to have a wonderful family vacation!

This place is totally awesome! The view is unbelievable. The interior of the house is super nice. Attention to detail for sure when built. Highly recommend.

Great location

We had a lovely family reunion in Manistee. The house sits high over the lake and has great views. Plenty of room for four families, including small children. Great beach, plenty of room for the children while the adults tossed a football.

Excellent property that lives up to expectations

We had a fantastic time at this property! The listing was exactly what we expected based on the listed pictures and details. It was a perfect for location for our 3 small families to meet and enjoy time together. The private beach is incredible and it's simple to get to many other area activities. We'd definitely have no reservations about returning to this property next year.

One of our top Lake Michigan stays!

We are a family of 5 and we’ve found over the years the way to please everyone is to be right on the beach of Lake Michigan yearly for our vacations! We’ve been to almost every town and at many homes. This is at the top of our list as far as the beach and home go!! I’ll share some highlights as well as some things to know to help those that rely on reviews for insights like I do! :) The home is so lovely! It was clean and spacious. Amazing views of the lake- especially from the master suite! One caution is for those of you that don’t handle lots of stairs- this isn’t your spot. The stairs were a work out but manageable for our ages. The driveway was STEEP. When it rained we couldn’t make it up by truck, so be advised there too. The property managers were so quick to respond to any of our questions. The beach was very secluded and we had it to ourselves most of the week! You can walk for a very long way as long as you respect staying on the wet sand. We found a lot of sea glass! The water was a great depth for our kids to swim in and play and very clear most days. We brought paddle boards and a Maui mat to use, there are no boards or kayaks provided. They had some beach chairs and accessories. Plenty of beach towels provided! Bring your spices and ground coffee. They had everything we could ask for as far as utensils and cooking went! The town of Manistee is charming and has plenty of shopping, a movie theater, and great restaurants! We highly recommend this spot!

The lake house and beach were both even more spectacular than the pictures showed. It was chilly, even for June, but perfect for flying kites and making sand castles with my grandsons. Loved it !

Spectacular Views

Spectacular views! If that's what you're looking for, you've found it! We came in late May so we weren't swimming but the weather was nice enough for us to enjoy sitting on the decks, by the firepit and down on the beach. Amazing sunsets. The pictures of the driveway are a little deceiving though. This driveway is STEEP and there are a number of stairs to climb to get to the front door if you park below. We were a little disappointed that the firplace in the master bedroom was not operational. But other than that, nothing negative to report. Property managers were great to work with and very responsive.

Amazing views of Lake Michigan

The location and views from this property were fabulously breathtaking! The size and layout of the home were perfect for our stay. The private beach is an oasis! We did have issues with the cleanliness of the property, but the management team was responsive and helpful.

Didn’t want to leave!

We had an incredible week at this property! The listing was dead on in its photos and descriptions. Perfect for large groups. From the beach to the house…it was all perfect. Our group loved the easy access to the lake and appreciated the extra large bunk beds in the lower level.

Great place!

With cooperative weather we were able to play in the sand and waves everyday. The view is superb. The beach is 30 or 40 steps down and is very private, long and plenty wide for running, but we also enjoyed running at the Orchard Beach Park nature trail just down the road. After shopping at the nearby Meijer we were able to cook and grill all our meals in the well stocked kitchen. The property manager was extremely prompt and helpful in getting a couple minor issues resolved asap. The driveway is quite steep, but we got good at “keeping our momentum “ to get our minivan up! Would definitely return if we get the chance!

House was well stocked. Owner was very responsive to email and great to work with. He brought us a new grill within 24 hours of our request. Very comfortable for 2-3 couples and their children.

Lovely stay on the water

Our family (grandparents, parents, and 4 children aged 9-17) had a lovely stay! We loved the ability to balance our time indoors and out. We were close enough to Manistee to visit local shops downtown for any needs as well as close enough to Sleeping Bear Dunes to make the day trip out. For planning, we found parking at the bottom of the hill and walking up to be best for our group. It's a pretty steep incline going up and down, so that was the best option for us and our vehicle. That does mean a lot of stairs (as you can see in the photos), so plan in advance if your party has any issues with stairs. Our family was quite comfortable and would absolutely love to come again.

Beach House Extrodinaire

A beautiful beach house with all the conveniences of home. Best of all, it sits on a dune overlooking the spectacular Lake Michigan. The view is as good as it gets. The beach walking is terrific to the north with great rock hunting on the shoreline and a largely unpopulated beach. We had a terrific time with our daughters, their husbands and our granddaughter .

Lakeside Chilling
