It’s a surprise gem at the heart of Makati. Just needs a little bit improvement on the wifi and it would be perfect.

Really nice location. Breakfast could have a few more western options.

Stayed at the Celeste two separate nights. I chose this hotel because I personally like the older historical places along with the newer modern conveniences. Within minutes after we arrived "and no fault of the staff", a glass ceiling tile shattered above the lobby. Seems the late March heat was too much. Our first night we were given room 207, even though I had requested a top floor room months earlier. I noticed that this room did not look like the photos online. It was small and not very fresh. Please be aware that this room has the marquee lights pointed directly at the big window and the draperies did not function at that time. We were there last week in March, and needless to say, we did not rest well at all that night due to the light and the noise. Our next stay came later that week, when we were placed in a much better room on the upper floor where it was so much better. Our second stay somewhat redeemed a bad review as it was very pleasant.
