Little dark and small rooms but really nice room and bathroom. Even the shower gel smells amazing and they encourage you to even take it home with you :) Can't wait to stay their again some day soon. Until next time.
I came here thinking it would be a trendy, plush hotel. It looks like it was trendy at some point. I found it to be a bit dated and not as clean as I'd like, especially in the bath/ shower. The restaurant we visited was full of meat with I think one veggie option. I also did not like sitting eating my meal with a carcass staring me in the face whilst I ate. Other than that the air con was great. Room service good. Not noisy. Good area.
Me and my friend were really looking forward to having afternoon tea here yesterday. Sadly it was very underwhelming. Got off to a great start. Lovely looking restaurant and a load of teas to choose from. Unfortunately the only way was down from here We ordered the full afternoon tea which was meant to come with a load of sweet tasting goodies as well as mini burgers, wraps and scones We waited around half an hour for it all to come out and sadly was not worth the wait. It was obvious to us that the food had probably been ready for a while and the wait staff just hadn't bothered to bring it to us as it was all cold. Barely luke warm burger? No thanks The staff couldn't have been less interested in us. It was a very quiet Monday afternoon and we were the only table in the restaurant to look after but the staff clearly found standing around talking to each other far more interesting then looking after us We needed more hot water for the tea. We had to go and find a waiter We needed some fresh side plates. We had to go and find a waiter We needed to tell someone our food was cold. We had to go and find a waiter We needed some tap water. We had to go and find a waiter Even after we complained about the food being cold we weren't offered any sort of redress. Surely we could have been offered some actual hot food? Once we had finished we waited for way over half an hour for someone to come to clear away the plates. We noticed the table next to ours was filthy with dirty plates and had been since we arrived Clearly the standards are not very high here which is a shame because you are certainly charged as if the standards were high If you like cold burgers and being ignored then this place is for you! If you like amazing food and amazing service I suggest you look elsewhere
Only in Manchester for 1 night we upgraded to a corner suite which was fabulous, spacious and comfortable. Would definitely book again. We had a car which we parked in the nearby NCP car park which cost around £18 with the hotel's discount.
Nice and easy check in great room nice and comfy bed not to hard and good shower were water was not blasted down on you pleasant staff and a great little bar for a drink and a Starbucks for the coffee lovers easy reach of the station and few minutes walk to many eaterys and the university
I brought my mum here for a birthday present and she had some spa treatment done by Caroline. 10 out of 10 for everything. She really looked after her, my mum said the treatment was amazing and she made her feel very comfortable she truly had an amazing time. Thank you Caroline for giving my mum a great experience really made her birthday special.
I stayed 3 nights in the Malmaison and spent plenty of time in the hotel as it rained continuously for 3 days. Check in was great with very friendly and efficient staff. The hotel itself is very modern and Chic and actually quite quirky. The rooms are very well appointed and I had a very comfortable bed. The highlight for me was the semi-sunken bar and bar area, which was vibrant and unlike a lot of other bars in some up market hotels. Breakfast was good, but not quite as good as similar graded hotels in Manchester. My only negative point would be that the gym was limited, but this is by no means a big deal. I will definitely stay again.
I stayed here because i didn't want to organise transport after a night out in Manchester. I paid a little extra for a mini suite and it was 100% amazing. I love Malmaison they are quirky and stylish quality hotels. The room was magnificent, everything you would want in a room, iPhone port for music, big TV awesome bedroom and lots of lovely extras. The cocktail bar is just sumptuous, low level seating at the bar or comfy sofas all very stylish and the bar staff are total mixology experts. I cant remember how much i spent in the bar, however it was a lot and I had a properly great evening. The restaurant is great too, lovely fresh food, cooked to order. Strange thing here - my mum always said you can judge an establishment by the toilets. OMG I've never seen the like before, an architectural masterpiece. 100% one of the best hotels in Manchester but certainly not one of the most expensive.
Stayed for one night, but the hotel has a brilliant vibe and buzz to it. The bar was busy but well run and the drinks and service were excellent. The staff were efficient and friendly. A really well run hotel, one of the best I have stayed in and would definitely return
Bright, friendly hotel. We enjoyed our stay, once we mastered the lifts. Room was well , with great toiletries as well. Breakfast was sever to the table, freshly cooked. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location great for local music scene.
