We stayed in December which is already a cold month for the UK and our heating didn't work. Upon querying this they sent a technician to check this. He said he could feel the warm air coming out a bit to which we explained we had been in the room for around 2 hours or more with the heating "supposedly" on and it was still freezing. He then gave us a small plug in radiator/heater. This took a long time to take the chill off and still wasn't that warm - we both slept in long pyjamas, socks and jumpers. The shower didn't work properly. It had a handheld shower and an overhead. We just wanted a quick body wash but the overhead shower kept coming on regardless, the handheld shower head either didn't come on atall or came on at the same time as the overhead. It was also not coming out much at all from the handheld even after trying to change settings. The hairdryer would only blow out cold air, this also did not work properly. Overall very disappointed with the experience.

Staff were lovely, We ate in the thai restaurant in the hotel and it was beautiful, staff very attentive. Breakfast was also lovey with a reasonable choice. I did contact the hotel once we'd got to the airport via train to see if there was a courtesy bus to take you to the hotel but was told that this service is no longer available from Terminal 2 at Manchester. Cost us £13.00 in a taxi to the hotel. However, there is a bus that takes you to the airport for £3.75 per person (you can use card as they have a card reader)

You have to sort out the coffee in the room… it is shockingly poor for this type of hotel… freeze dried coffee granules from a brand I’ve never heard before

The public areas including the restaurant bar and reception. Very pleasant staff. The room was in need of an upgrade, particularly the bathroom. The basin took forever to drain and the toilet would only flush once about every 20 mins or so. Not ok when sharing a room.
