This hotel needs millions of pounds spent on it. Not quite as bad as its sister, the Adelphi in Liverpool. But it has tatty old fashioned carpets, a room with no window and virtually no plug sockets, with a plug in electric wall radiator or heating, chipped bath, etc. The reception area is a poor conversion, there are endless corridors with badly designed fire doors, and the facade of the building black with grime. Reminds me of Blackpool c.1970.
But it is not disgusting. Linen and room were clean, and there was plenty of coffee and tea.
Sadly, this is a once luxury hotel, in a good location, which is not up to the standards of a Premier Inn.
