Clayton Hotel, Manchester Airport

Very handy to airport. Frequent large free airport shuttles.

The hotel has an odd layout but everything was fine. Service friendly, efficient.

The room was a little disappointing for a 4 star hotel. The beds were not very comfortable, and the rooms were furnished with very basic amenities. The room felt as though it hadn't been updated in years. There is no individual room climate control. The room was very quiet for as close to the airport, and road, that it is

We were greeted by a very pleasant staff. We got a free upgrade to a great room with a lovely view. The room was a little warm but we loved it. King sized bed...very comfy. We went down to the Bar for dinner. Food was terrible! I had a hamburger...the bun was 2x times the size of the meat and it tasted even worse. It was also cold. My husband had a cold sandwich and could barely chew it. We talked to the bartender but because it was closing nothing was done. :( Would I stay there again...yes. We would go elsewhere to eat.

In close proximity to Manchester Airport with free shuttle service. Lovely accommodation, clean and comfortable. Courteous and helpful hotel staff, from the front desk to the housekeeping staff to the restaurant personnel. Good food too!

This hotel is overpriced. It is on airport but is loaded with vacationers. Its rooms are clean but do not have air conditioning. I had "second hand smoke." The staff in the bar ignores customers until you go to the bar. The reception staff are slow. I do not recommend this property to Orbitz customers.

Traffic in the area meant that a 20 minute trip took 2 hours, so having the check-in be so quick and efficient and the staff helpful made a great start to the evening. A meal in the bar area was very tasty and the room was quite and comfortable. The free shuttle to the terminal was on time and the driver helpful and caring. A very good experience for me.

quite room with all services, could benefit from having in room tea/coffee maker

The hotel was very comfortable and quiet. I called to get a shuttle to the hotel from the train station, it took a little time but understood as other guests were being picked up from other locations. Check in and check out was very fast. The phone at the train station could be marked more clearly, thankful that my daughter told me where to look for it to request a ride to the hotel. Would stay again!

Good experience. Well located ! Clean and good value !

I just spent a night here before an early departure. Staff was nice, dinner is OK. Last time i got a much nicer room for same money, but was Ok.

Most hotel rooms are not air condition so windows are open with loud noise from planes taking off. Beds are marginal.

Nice hotel with pleasant, efficient staff. Shuttle drivers are particularly friendly and seem genuinely concerned with getting you where you need to be. Noticed some room upgrades since I was last there. Big plus that airport/train shuttles are free, speedy, and reliable. Will stay there again.

Nice hotel perfect for early flights out of Manchester airport. Staff were very friendly and professional. Our stay would have been perfect except a deafening false fire alarm at 12:30 am. The reported cause was a smoker triggering the alarm. ( Welcome to Manchester!)

Overall it was a good experience. Only one big problem. The duvet was really really smelly. They switched it to a fresh cover after I said something. I dont' think the room was properly cleaned before I arrived. Perhaps a simply mistake. The house keeper was quick to fix the problem and was quite nice.

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the airport, shuttle service, and price. All were excellent. The shuttle took about 15 minutes to reach us at the airport, but we were told to expect that. Arriving late, we found a lively bar and an excellent choice of snacks (there was also a full meal). To our surprise, the hotel had no air conditioning, but none was needed. Also, there was no airport noise. Breakfast was ample. In all, a great experience.

The location is great, and the shuttle service to the airport was great. Otherwise, pretty good. Big room and bathroom, fairly comfortable. Of course, no one comes here for the luxury -- just convenient for the airport. The biggest disappointment was the wireless, which worked only intermittently and very slowly.

Didn't like having only one hotel key. When leave room, lights automatically shut off so can't leave someone else in room

Close to airport, good airport transportation, helpful staff, restaurant crowded but service was fast and very good food

Easy to get into Dublin proper via bus... stops very close to hotel. Beautiful location, gorgeous grounds. Rooms are very spacious and well appointed.
