We stayed at the Midland around 5years ago and after been put in a shoe box of a room vowed not to return however due to a work event we have returned. Unfortunately there’s still to much wrong for me to warrant another stay. We arrived 5pm Friday evening no one front of house on arrival then a 10 minute wait to check in. Room this time was better however numerous issues no minibar handle falling of the wall in the bathroom cleanliness not great. Off we went for a quick drink in the bar another wait while the staff finished having a chat then decided to serve us all in all just not a great experience and certainly won’t be back.

Had a very relaxing stay over in this hotel whilst visiting a family member in hospital in the Manchester area. All staff were friendly and helpful. Our stay was good and relaxing. Coopers bar is a great place to unwind and enjoy a variety of drinks. the bar staff had a good knowledge of all types of drinks including cocktails. We would definitely stay again

Very quick check in , lovely spacious room with large hair dryer, and great breakfast choice. The room was very clean and beds were comfortable. Good wardrobe space, would recommend this hotel for its great location and amenities.

First timer to Manchester, on a work conference but this perfectly situated hotel meant I could make the most of my time and escape out and about, working round work commitments. The hotel is iconic and huge yet still personal and the staff were all super efficient and friendly. Perfect location for walking to all parts of the city and near to a whole host of trams & Manchester Central where I parked with ease. The conference facilities were spacious, well designed, light and airy. I found myself gazing out of the beautiful windows onto bustling Manchester below. The room was very comfortable, quiet, good shower, pillows and WiFi meant recharging from work was easy. Many a local recommended the afternoon tea, stating it was the best in the city & it certainly didn’t disappoint! Would hugely recommend for both business and pleasure alike, can’t see how you’d go wrong staying here.

Bit of an odd review as we were there as a third party supplier to the hotels client but as such we see a bit more "behind the scenes" than most folk and you get a real vibe from seeing that side. Stayed overnight, hotel team were just excellent, witnessed some great service standards even behind the scenes and from check in, concierge (really helpful) severs in the function room (special mention to David who made sure we were ok for refreshments) and just observing the waiting staff, room setter uppers, room managers, kitchen team, it really is a place with some really great old fashioned service standards and a team of just really decent people from the bottom up. Third year at The Midland and always a pleasure to work there. For most folk I would say it is a top hotel, top location, top people working there.

Had a lovely stay we was given a great room staff very helpful you enjoy just being in the bar relaxing breakfast was lovely would recommend great location for shopping and all activities one of the best city hotels I have stayed in only issue was finding the car park

The room was clean, nice and modern. Had a lovely night sleep as it was quiet and we had air con! It was a very relaxing night away. Very close to the city centre (can walk to Spinningfields easily, even in heels!) Will be returning to visit the spa!

Steven is the ideal doorman, meets and greets you on the way in and looks after you. Then when you leave makes sure that you have everything you need. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is done in a warm and friendly manner.

Everything about The Midland was fantastic. From the vegan afternoon tea, to the drinks in the bar to breakfast. The room was cosy and well appointed and decorated with an exceptionally comfortable bed. The staff were very accommodating and professional. Couldn't fault a thing. Absolutely first class and I wouldn't hesitate to come back.

This was our first visit to the Midland Hotel Manchester and must say it didn't disappoint as it was a family occasion we decided to book a room for the night the day was a big success thanks to the efficient and well organised staff the rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was excellent would definitely recommend to friends and family!!!!
