We visited last night for our annual ball. Great night. Very well looked after. There was a problem but dealt with efficiently and extremely well by the lovely Donna. Great member of your team. Went above and beyond our expectations. You are very lucky to have her. Great customer service and came back to check we were satisfied I would nominate her for your employee of the month. Thank you Donna. The food was also very nice too.
Big thankyou to Donna and Lizzi, couldn't help enough had a fantastic lunch in such a fantastic venue everything about this place was spot on I would really like to thank Donna and lizzi as they was the best part of the day Thankyou x
Excellent staff, facilities, treatment and afternoon tea. The attention to detail was fantastic. I wanted a day of luxury and pampering for myself and my mum. We weren't disappointed. Thanks to all the spa staff they were fab.
I stayed here while on business in the area and was not disappointed. The price was very good for what the hotel is - it's worth paying the few pounds extra to stay somewhere like this as appose to a travel lodge!
Recently I visited the midland manchester where I found everyone was friendly but one person in particular...Donner.. kindly explained the history and events of the hotel showed me around and was very pleased with the knowledge and comfort she offered. In the restaurant a french guy (remey) made me also feel very welcome gave me all the information I needed and I would definitely go back due to the amazing hospitality. Overall review was fantastic five star service and hospitality. Thank you guys for making us feel so welcome at at comfort. We will be returning :).
The Midland Hotel was an excellent choice of Hotel for our Centenary celebrations. Dealing with the staff at the hotel prior to the event was effortless, arriving and checking in was pleasant and quick. My room was lovely, clean and comfy with the A/C already on (heatwave in Manchester 19/20 June 2017). Had no complaints about rooms from any of our 80 guests. Held a small meeting in the Rolls Suite, again this was a delightful room, the working lunch available right outside was delicious. Once our meeting had finished we made our way to the where the evening Gala Banquet was to be held to find the room already set up and we were able to put together our last minute touches, the hotel and conference teams were great to work with, and nothing was ever any trouble and i would like to thank the team that night for the great service they provided. Compliments to the Chef also, as the 3 course meal was gorgeous and again had no complaints and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the dinner, after a good dance and a drink in the Hexagon Bar, we went into Mr Coopers and enjoyed a very well earned late drink, again the staff were pleasant and friendly. Our second day was the actual Centenary AGM, Everyone had enjoyed a bountiful breakfast at Mr Coopers, and our meeting was under way, the AV team had set up and were ready to go, our meeting was held and once finished we were then in the Hexagon Lounge for another scrummy lunch. I am the Conference organiser and I did not have one complaint during the stay from anyone...the venue in a City location was perfect, car parking is a three minute walk and public transport on the door step, the hotel also offer valet parking which can be booked through concierge... I would totally recommend the Midland Hotel in Manchester for any corporate event as the service is commendable, I would like to go back and enjoy the spa and swimming pool, as sadly I worked the entire time I was there, but if I ever get the chance again I would use the leisure facilities as they are excellent. A big thank you to all the staff at the Midland Hotel for a great service
I've stayed at the Midland atleast 5 times for work and have been underwhelmed each time. The rooms are tired and are in need or a revival, they feel dull and depressing. There has always been a few issues each time i've stayed, from blood on the bed sheets to litter in the bin and stains in the bathroom. Basic things that should be checked prior to a guest arriving. I wouldnt recommend.
I own an entertainment company and my dance troupe performed at the Midland for their La La Land ball on Friday evening. We have done a lot of these events but I have to say the staff here were very lovely and accommodating. A lovely lady called Donna made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond. Would definitely recommend this Hotel to anyone.
The moment you arrive here, you know it's a great hotel. The hotel looks a class act and from the moment we arrived we were treated excellently. The check in was faultless and handled expertly. The room we had was great. Nice and clean and the bed was huge! We didn't try the spa area as we didn't have time but we would love to come back and stay again to try it out. The bar area we visited when we came back to the hotel was also great. The staff were friendly and nothing we asked for was a problem. The hotel is ideally situated for bars and restaurants too. If you have a special occasion to celebrate, try here. You will love it.
my wife and I were coming to Manchester for an event in this beautiful hotel so we decided to stay a couple of days to take in the sights of Manchester we were amazed how such a large hotel can make you feel so welcome I would like to say a very special thankyou to donna from the Alexandra suite and Vicky from behind the bar both were so friendly and polite really showed lovely Manchester welcome would highly recommend this hotel cant wait to return
