We didn't have the best experience at this hotel I'm afraid. We arrived very late at night and when we got to our rooms, there were only two beds made up, not the three we'd requested and had confirmed whilst standing at reception. As it was so late, the guy on reception couldn't do anything about it, so my husband had to go and sleep in a separate room by himself and then we were all requested to move the next day. Pool is indeed filthy - just clean it! This comes up in most of your reviews - my kids aren't fussy, but they had one dip and were straight out. When they did make up the extra bed on the second day, they issued a duvet without a cover. The main bed had a sheet plus a duvet with a cover, but they gave my husband the inner duvet and no cover - despite our protestations, they couldn't see anything wrong with it - all very strange and we didn't manage to get a cover - I had to wrap a spare sheet around it. Only water available is expensive mini bar water - so we had to walk to the garage and buy our own. Black mould growing on all three room ceilings we had access to and no handles on the bathroom doors, so you can't shut from inside. Staff friendly enough - particularly in restaurant.
here them say breakfast include but there in hotel not include and they charge more for this and i dont feel any interesting of hotel about wrong information ! pool was dirty and they dont have jacuzzi or this dont work great anyway for me bad experience
Short version: staff does not seem to care, the pool is dirty, the room service food cold and dry and stale, the breakfast buffet not worth it but the rooms are clean and spacious. Long version: We stayed here for 1 night before heading into the jungle and another night when we returned. When we checked in for the first time we received a key to a room that already had people in it - luckily they were not there when we walked in! We told the reception and all the gentleman could say was that this had 'never happened before' but he did not seem too concerned. The rooms are spacious but lack standard amenities such as a kettle or a place to hang a wet towel. We had dinner and enjoyed the seafood pasta and fish dish but it took ages for us to get the attention of the single waiter, even though there were only 3 other parties seated in the restaurant at the time. The breakfast buffet offered a nice variety of fresh fruit and pastries, whereas the remaining food was stale and seemed to have been reheated. For the price you pay it is not worth getting the breakfast option. The pool was full of leaves, we got towels from the front desk as there is nobody minding the pool. The rings that are supposedly used to safe you from drowning were floating in the pool, maybe as a preventative measure? It seemed to add to the impression of carelessness that the hotel exudes. During our second stay we were lucky enough to get a room that was not yet inhabited. We got room service because we were knackered from our jungle stay and not only was our order mixed up (chips instead of salad) the club sandwich was dry and stale and the novotel burger cold and came without the advertised bacon. We had already paid for our stay in advance, otherwise we would have happily cancelled the second night. Really disappointed and cannot believe this was the #2 hotel on TripAdvisor!
We spend just one day/night, on our way to a cruise. We found the hotel very nicely put together, modern looking, clean and with friendly staff. Our room was of a good size, the beds really comfortable. Quality of breakfast and dinner was pretty decent. The one thing I would comment is that the staff doesn't speak English, or they didn't with us.
This hotel is not bad, the rooms are good, the reception speaks English, but the laundry service is a not acceptable. And the level of exxageration justifies the rating. We paid approx €200 for our laundry. Just as a reference, the same laundry was invoiced €4.50 in Urubamba a couple of days later. I have never seem such an abuse in my life. We visited this hotel with a group of 13 people, all complaint about the same.
We checked into this hotel after 3 nights in the Amazon and it was exactly what we were looking for. The hotel was large and clean with excellent facilities. The rooms themselves were large and mosquito free. The internet was fast and worked well throughout the hotel. In addition, the buffet breakfast in the morning had good variety with fresh omelettes being made, fruits, cereal, pastries and of course tea and coffee. We didn't use the swimming pool because of the weather but it looked nice. There was a computer in the lobby that you could use for free with internet which was great as we could check in on there. The novotel standard was good as it always is. The only slight thing was the receptionist staff were a bit moody with no smiles.
We stayed in this hotel because of sudden flight change and booked the room online just 30 min before heading to the hotel. Got great help from the front desk staff for contacting the airline for flight rescheduling arrangement. The staff are well trained and very helpful all the way during our stay.
Having tried them all in Manaus, and having passed for years on the Novotel - from memories of old - thrilled to be back in the fully refurbished Novotel Nice dining area and super rooms They have my business for years now.
Based on photos, Novotel looked nicer than other hotels in Manaus. I'm glad we stayed here because the room was clean (although a little tight) and the breakfast buffet had a great spread, including piranha soup! The staff was courteous and very helpful. They stored our luggages for us while we went off to stay in the jungle for three days. The only reason why I gave this hotel 4 points is because of their location, which is a 20-minute ride from the historic district and other tourist attractions.
We stayed here three different nights as we came and went from Manaus while on a birding tour. Our rooms were bright, clean, and comfortable. The restaurant was very good, both ordering from the menu and the buffets, and very reasonable. We were lacking towels one of the nights but it was quickly resolved. The staff were very pleasant. I would stay here again. The grounds of the hotel were quite nice, a good pool, nice grassy area, some trees ... very pleasant. Don't forget the caipirinhas in the bar, some of the best we had on the trip.
