Road a stone’s throw in front of unit but not very busy and bedroom was at the rear. Old fashioned interior and furnishings. Plenty of hot water, clean bedding and towels. The cabin was very dated and old. For the price, it was definitely a disappointment. The sofa beds were unstable and uncomfortable. There was also no TV which was a complete surprise and a first for us. The only pleasant thing was that it was cleaned well.

The owner was kind and helpful. Late arrival was easily arranged. Beautiful view across the lake to the snow-capped mountains. Bed is comfortable and the acommodation is cosy and equipped as needed, though without a TV. Location is ideal for trips to Doubtful Sound. This is a budget stay, so don’t expect anything fancy, but it does well what it says on the tin.
