So this is our 4th year staying at this hotel. The staff are extremely friendly, and continue to return every season; this says a lot! The rooms are of a typical Spanish style with minimal flair however you have everything you could need. Food is excellent. For a 3 star accommodation, there is a great choice of international cuisine, and again, the head chef has been here for longer than we have visited..... Overall thus is a strong good standard accommodation where you know exactly what you are getting. Highly recommend.
Great hotel, really close to the airport which was only 10mins away - hotel room and corridors were cleaned every day and food was varied. Buses stopped right outside so everywhere was easy to get to. Would stay here again.
We stayed here during the October school break. The hotel is so handy for the airport, literally only a 5mins taxi ride and the costs of approx. 13euros, there are an abundance of taxis waiting at airport which is ideal. Hotel was very dated, staff also not particularly welcoming at the reception desk. Rooms in need of upgrading, very basic, no fridge, kettle or hairdryers. The beds however extremely comfortable (memory foam mattress) I don't think I have ever rated a bed abroad for being so comfortable! We stayed in Room 203 which had a pool view...a very small balcony with a table and 2 chairs and a view of surrounding rooftops. The pool at night is light by little lights which on a mild night made it quite nice to sit and look out to. The hotel was very busy and very noisy, we had occasion to complain as teenagers were running riot on the stairs and shouting in spannish. The be fair the management dealt with the issue. I wouldn't bring my children to this hotel or resort as it does appear to be a retirement resort, very laid back and not much for the children to do. We stayed half board but only ate in the restaurant 1 evening, its very bright and again dated and the food average, very average. There are plenty places to eat out locally that don't cost the earth. The wine and beers are very reasonable too. The beach is literally a 10min stroll away, and there is a lovely quiet coved area with sun beds and parasols 11 euros for 2 beds, the lady there is very friendly. The beach is spotless and was lovely and quiet in October, we were one of 20 people using this part of the beach. The water very calm and shallow. We were told by locals that this hotel in scheduled for a revamp as the sister hotel Roc leo has been upgraded already so perhaps this is the case and if so I would say for a short couples break this is an ideal base, very central for shops, bars, restaurants, beach and transfer to and from airport, not noisy and aeroplane noise isn't a problem either with airport being close by.
We were pleasantly surprised by the Hotel Roc Linda. We were on half board and we enjoyed both the breakfast and the dinner. For dinner there was a good choice which was well cooked. There was a good salad bar and we enjoyed the desert. The rooms were large and were clean. There is a good television in the rooms which receives BBC1 and 2 but no other English speaking channels. Yes, the hotel could perhaps do with a refurbishment but for the price you cannot argue. As we booked directly with the hotel we did get free internet in the rooms. You do have to pay for the safe which is quite expensive. The staff who looked after the rooms were very helpful and pleasant though perhaps some of the staff could have been more welcoming. The location is excellent for getting to the airport (number 21) as the bus stops just outside. The bus is expensive at 5 Euros a head. If there are three people you might as well get a taxi which is 15 Euros. Both are very expensive given is not much more than a mile to the airport It is a short walk from the beach, shops and restaurants. The bus for Palma also stops just outside the hotel. With regard to rooms you really have a choice of pool view where you get the sun most of the day or a view of the airport which in winter you get very little sunshine.
Just returned from a weeks stay here (first time to Majorca) and after reading some of the reviews I was a bit worried BUT it was fine, yes it's a bit dated but the rooms are clean, there is a large flat screen tv with BBC 1 & 2, there is ample space in the room, the shower was brilliant, we had a room on the 5th floor over looking the pool which was lovely . The breakfast was lovely every day, good choice and well cooked, the evening meal was the same, good choice (although can become a bit boring as with any HB hotel) the quality was good and the bar is nice to have a drink in and reasonably priced. Staff are friendly polite and the cleaners are always happy and jolly. The hotel is very near the beach and shops and bars. The pool is fine and the extra terrace area to sunbath is an added bonus. This resort is mainly German tourists and English tourists are the minority but there are a few good English bars... Wilsons Bar was great as was Poppy's bar! Defo worth checking these out as is the kebab shop near the hotel, It was the best kebab ever!! You can see the airport from the hotel it's that close and a taxi cost €15. There is no hairdryer in the room but you can hire one from reception. Hope this helps if you're making a decision about staying at this hotel, it's worth a stay and if I was to return to this resort I would stay here again.
I visited this hotel with my family, some of our party are avid aviation enthusiasts and we choose this hotel as you can see planes from certain rooms. When booking I asked for rooms on top floor overlooking airport and all adjoining. We asked for rooms 528, 527 & 526. When we checked in we had been allocated 2 rooms on top floor and one on fourth floor, all the rooms on the fourth or fifth floor overlooking airport have good views for plane spotting. The rooms were basic but clean and the beds were comfy. The food was ok, plenty of choice and sometimes weird combinations for example broccoli and baked beans in the breakfast buffet. Everyone should be able to find something edible. Location is about 10 mins to beach. The staff were always pleasant and helpful
Hotel Roc Linda is located in Can Pastilla, 8 kms away from Palma and 2 kms away from Palma Airport. They have a parking place at the hotel site that you need to pay 3 EUR, but you can also park outside of the hotel on the stret for free. They have a wide range of breakfast selection and in the evening you can have a buffet for 12 EUR including water and a glass of wine, however I woould not recommend the wine. The room has very basic facilities, a big TV and a balcony. The swimming is small and does not attract the visitors that much. Restaurants and bars area where the beach is also located is 500 meters away. The wi-fi is free at reception area only. The staff at the kitchen is helpful and nice people. I would only recommend this hotel to the people who have an early flight to get to the airport quickly.
Another visit to the Roc Linda and it was still as good. We got a room with the view we asked for. Rooms are dated but very clean and the location is great for both Palma and the airport. Local bus stops outside . Staff are very helpful and the food was good, although I could have done without the snail stew on the first night! Free internet in reception is very good.
Air conditioning didn't cool properly, even when set at 15 C. Complained and desk person could not do anything. I asked for another room, I had to wait an hour for Mgr to come in and try and fix. Mgr came in and turned temp down to 10 C and said it was fixed. Of course, it just didn't cool. Everything else about the room, although clean, was just plain yucky. All amenities are extra charge such as WiFi, safe, scale in lobby to weigh your bags.
The place is falling apart. Chrome in bath is painted white, shower curtain was inside out, wood missing in doorframe, noisy on main road at bus stop and at 110 euros, a real ripoff ! Won't ever stay again.
