just got back after 4 nights at roc leo,not disappointed, everything new ,rooms beautiful, double shower in bedroom loved it,normal and rain shower, great after a day on beach.10mins from airport 2mins from beachand shops ,restaurants.stayed at can pastilla before and love this part of the island, poolarea great no rush here for sunbeds, probably because so close to beach.only had breakfast but the choice was brilliant.highly recommend. maria on reception very helpful.

The location is great, five minutes from the airport and two minute walk to the beach. Hotel had just been refurbished but still had some snagging to do. The pool is great, staff very friendly, we only had breakfast which was your bog standard buffet. Rooms were fine, minimal decor, bathrooms very odd in some rooms (Open Plan!) it was perfect for our weekend and I would recommend it, not luxurious but perfectly adequate. Taxi from airport was 15 Euro, same for a trip to Palma.

Had a few days at RocLeo in June just after the refit, and very nice it was, rooms bright airy & very clean...all new, beds, bathroom fittings, A/C.. food in restaurant very nice plenty of choice, salads meats fish desserts. Tea & coffee machine. Pool & sun beds patio/ bar all very nice.. we played 2 games of golf while on hoilday & manager/ reception were very helpful in phoning clubs to book us in.. would I go back YES.....

I booked this despite the average reviews because it was a decent price and it was reportedly being renovated. I can say the hotel looks great - from the front door to the bed rooms themselves it is immaculate. The pool is fab and the staff are warm and friendly. Strangely though they seem to have kept the two small old (rickety) lifts and just added a third modern one alongside. The new fitted shower enclosure also leaks onto the bathroom floor, others have said it was the same in their rooms as well. We use a hand towel as a mat - sorted. We are half board and although we won't starve most of the food isn't really my thing. It's more aimed at European tastes but neither are there any signs to say what anything is so sometimes you hit lucky, sometimes not - sliced garlic mushrooms on a full English anyone? Overall I'm glad I booked this, I hope they manage to keep the place looking this nice after the newness has worn off.

We used this hotel for the first and last nights of a cycle tour of Mallorca. 5 minutes from the airport though the taxi still cost 17 euros. When the front desk called for taxis they came within a couple of minutes. The hotel is a short block from the beach and numerous restaurants. They were very helpful at the front desk. I had asked if we could store bike cases during the trip and they were happy to accommodate. Natalie at the front desk was great and knew about the request. She also remembered my name when we returned 10 days later. There were times when service at the front desk could have been quicker, sometimes one receptionist could be overwhelmed with a line waiting. The hotel has just been refurbished and looks shiny white and new. The rooms were pristine but had a couple of teething issues. We had a leak in the bathroom with a wet floor. I couldn't get the AC to work and it was only on the second stay I realized it would not turn on if the window was open. There was an electric outlet without a cover and bare wires visible. It looked like a new house where the punch list has not quite been completed. The beds and linens are obviously brand new and were smart and comfortable. Nice pool area. Cafeteria style buffet for 18 euros was perfect for my final night when I ate alone. Overall it is a smart, newly refurbished hotel and was great value.

The Roc Leo reopened on the 15 May after a total refurbishment to upgrade it to a 4 star hotel. If you look at the previous photos, you will see a very tired, shabby hotel (a bit like the Roc Linda at present, a sister hotel in Can Pastilla which is also due to be refurbished this winter). Now the hotel looks totally different. All the furniture, furnishings, beds, bathrooms, floorings etc are brand new. The style is minimalist, everywhere painted white. We took a risk and booked from 20 to 28 May, via their website. We asked for a seaview which we received. It has to be said that the hotel was definitely not ready for guests during our stay and there were numerous "teething problems", resulting in some very unhappy guests, ourselves included. Work continued apace and we could see bathrooms being fitted, blinds put up, a turf lawn being laid, a general impression being that another 10 days would have been needed to complete the renovations. When all is completed, I think that it will be very nice accommodation and future guests will no doubt be able to avail of many of the amenities which we found absent. Our bedroom had a double bed which was firm but comfortable. We had to request extra pillows. There is a fridge but no tea or coffee making facilities. On our welcome sheet it mentioned a safe and a phone but we didn't have either. We also didn't have glasses in the bathroom, a litter bin ( except a small pedal bin in the bathroom) or a luggage holder. The bathroom is small and we found that although we had an excellent power shower, it wasn't properly sealed and leaked all over the floor every time we used it. There is nowhere to hang your wet towels and even on the balcony there isn't a clothes drier. These are things that management needs to address, as people are expecting 4 star facilities if it is advertised as a 4 star hotel. The aircon is good and easy to manage. The tv has almost entirely German channels apart from BBC WORLD. We did not have a problem with noise at night as we were away from the main road. We were in room 316 and I would ask for the same room again if I returned as it had sun for a large part of the day. The pool area is very nicely done with new sun loungers and what appear to be new parasols. The lounge area is large and newly furnished and we had entertainment three nights during our stay although not many guests stayed for it to be honest. Wifi is free but it is only available on the ground floor. There are now three lifts, two of them quite small. The food in this hotel is only average in my opinion and at the start of our stay, it was definitely not warm. It did improve as the week went on and you won't starve but just don't expect haute cuisine. We were upgraded to full board and the lunchtime meal was usually the best and the least busy. Some staff were more pleasant than others. Our housekeeping staff were most friendly, however. Re accessibility, the hotel is most suitable for wheelchairs except for the back exit to the beach which has steps but I was assured that this would be addressed in the future. This hotel has a mostly German clientele which can also be said of Can Pastilla as a whole. It is on the main bus routes to Palma and to the airport. We took a taxi to the hotel for 17 € and the bus back to the airport for 5 € each (number 21). We like this area for walking and cycling and for its close proximity to the airport so it is highly likely we will return. Roc Leo has a great location and guests arriving for the summer season may find things more settled and completed. We will be watching out for future reviews to see how things progress.
