I wouldn't class this hotel as a 4 star facility, it is a 3 at very best. The recent refurbishment wasn't carried out to a very high standard and the general finish to some of the work wasn't very good i.e door to shower didn't shut properly allowing water to run over bathroom floor, finish to plastering and painting not at a very high standard. During our 10 day stay our room wasn't cleaned on at least 2 occasions, though the general cleanliness of the hotel was good. The location of the hotel is excellent, only a very short transfer from the airport (less than 10 mins, 15 Euros in taxi). It's only a 2 minute walk from the local beach and numerous restaurants and cafe bars. The pool area to the hotel was very good, with plenty of sunbeds available throughout the day. The pool in a good size, though it was very cold!
Good hotel, nice refurbishment. I had a single room. Bed, bathroom and balcony all good size. My room was to the front of the hotel on the 5th floor. First night my sleep was disturbed by planes landing, but closed window keeps out all noise. Advantage to room at the front is you get the sun in the morning. Would take the same room again. 5 stars go to the Restaurant. Staff and food very good. I took full board and cannot fault them. You can eat outside in the evening which is nice. You can't charge drinks to your room, its pay cash or voucher. Vouchers are 10 for 20euros which works out at 2 euros a drink. A bottle of beer paid cash is 2.80euros so there is a win if you buy the vouchers. Also makes life easier. Towels: 10euros deposit then 1euro each time you change the towel. I like this idea, it means that hotel towels are not left lying around the pool plus saves the environment. Pool area is really clean. There is a back gate that takes you out down to the beach. Nice end of the beach. Reception is busy but special mention goes to Natalie who stood out as 5 Star quality. Can Pastilla is a lovey place. Not too busy, safe to walk down the promenade at night , small bars, cafes and shops and the old village is Spanish. There is a bus from outside the hotel runs every 30mins to Palma cost is 1.50 euros, takes about 20mins (No 25). You can also get a bus to and from Airport.(No 21). Costs 5 euros each way and takes 15 mins, again they run every 30 mins. Palma airport is really good, they advertise how long security will take you and in my case it was 5 minutes - seriously. The staff were so pleasant and helpful. (unlike Edinburgh these days where I fear they recruit there staff from the prison service). Good selection of shops after security. I will certainly go back to Can Pastilla and if this hotel keeps up the standard, back to this hotel.
This hotel said it offered daytime and evening entertainment. This didn't happen! me my partner and our 13 yr old son stayed here for 2 wks in August. I booked this hotel because of what it said it offered. It was very disappointing. When you have children they need to be entertained. We wasn't the only family that was disappointed. It was on the jet 2 website stating entertainment. The room are very basic even tho they have had a makeover. This is just a lick of paint over old furniture. I had to ask for clean towels after 3 days. We still hadn't had our beds changed after 7 day . In the 2 weeks we stayed there we never seen anyone hose down or bush around the pool area. Very disappointed.
Stayed here back in June with two friends. The hotel was a pleasant surprise for the price we payed. Just fully refurbished and is honestly a gorgeous hotel to be in. The rooms are spacious and have a great walk in shower and sizable balconies. The breakfast in the morning was very good also. Pool area is lovely to sit around but best of all is the fact that you are a one minute walk away from the gorgeous beach of Can Pastilla. Would highly recommend staying here.
First visit to Roc Leo, if you are looking for good quality from rooms to food and service this is the right hotel for you. If you want entertainment you will be disappointed, it is a hotel which offers quality. All nationalities visit the hotel which was refreshing to meet new people especially the children who were bi lingual and we didn't notice they were there because they were so well behaved. From the airport 8 mins in taxi, beech outside the door, pool area well maintained and no towels on sunbeds! Well worth the money the refurbishment has cost.
I don't usually write reviews but felt on this occasion I had to . I have stayed in many different hotels but I have to say Roc Leo Hotel has it all ! I travelled with my 5 year old grandson, we arrived early and were shown a place to leave our luggage and a place to change so we could use the pool. Reception Staff go out of there way to make everything perfect for you, they are very friendly and very well informed! The pool was spotless and the lifeguard on duty makes sure he gets to know all the young non swimmers and constantly makes sure they are ok. The cleaning staff are so friendly and clean the room daily to a very high standard . The food is amazing and the choice is unbelievable , we had bed and breakfast but I paid the extra to eat in the buffet restaurant every evening . I cannot rate this hotel enough , I will definitely be going back .
The hotel rooms were nice, pretty clean and bright. A slightly unusual set up with the shower not being in a seperate room which made my daughter feel a touch uncomfortable. There was a fridge in our room, which was very handy! There were no facilities to make tea/coffee, which I really missed. There was also a TV but the only channel we could watch/ understand was BBC world which did not appeal. The small wardrobe had a sliding door that only went over one or other side of the wardrobe so one side was always open. There was nowhere obvious to store cases away and nowhere outside of the shower to hand up towels. We had booked this hotel largely because the rooms had balconies but we were given a room with a balcony facing another hotel so were completely overlooked by their balconies and to one side was land being developed so you could hear machinery a lot of the time from the balcony. It was slightly irksome that pretty much none of the balconies that faced out on the pool were used during the day! The staff were lovely and had a very positive impact on our experience of the hotel, although the waitresses run off their feet a lot of the time. Even so they were very polite and friendly. The food was really very good for breakfast and dinner and when we ate at the bar/cafe at lunchtime. However the first time we went into the restaurant we had to work out how the whole system worked ourselves since the staff were too busy to show us. No drinks were included with the evening meal (we went half board). Once we got into the swing of things it was fine. The hotel was in a great, convenient location with easy access to the airport, Palma and the local beach and amenities. I would definitely look to stay in this location again. There was wifi access in the lobby, which was a bit patchy, probably because there were so many people sat around using it. We paid for internet in the room which was fine. We were asked to check out at 12pm, which allowed us a more leisurely last day. However, despite having the do not disturb sign on our door and telling the cleaners we would be out by 12, three times they entered the room before 12 without knocking. This is not great considering the shower is on view as you take a couple of steps inside the door. The biggest issue we had was the lack of sun loungers around the pool. Although the hotel say not to reserve beds with towels this wasn't enforced and we had to get to the pool early to ensure we had loungers. On the couple of days we wanted to do things first thing we couldn't then get a lounger for the rest of the day. The last morning when we turned up we counted there were about 100 beds available, 16 of which were being occupied, 4 were free and the other 80 approx just had towels on! I know this is difficult to enforce but it really does need addressing. I think this hotel has the potential to be really very good with a little more care and attention. I am being very specific about the negative issues to hopefully allow them to be addressed. I would consider coming here again, particularly if I was assured the sunbed issue had been addressed.
Overall excellent hotel and staff, if you are wanting somewhere with good entertainment in the evening there are places outside of the hotel, only negative would be that the food was 'ok' but you would have to be very fussy not to find anything suitable.
We had a sea view room 174. Not all have a full view some have a partial view. Nice rooms modern bathroom kitchen facilities fine fir self catering. Reception staff were lovely. Pool great slightly sakty water cold but i personally loved it. Pool bar good for snacks and drinks. Hotel will organise free bus to Oasis Park and you get unlimited entry to Acua Water Park. It costs £25 per person we went three times saved over £200. It is a good 15 minute walk into the main part of the old town. Prices are roughly what you pay in the UK. Big Hiper Dino supermarket but the wee shop on site is fine for basics. Can be a bit windy but nice to have a breeze. Rooms cleaned at least four times in our 11 day stay
Good hotel close to both beach and in the middle of Can Pastilla. I really enjoyed the breakfast. It was loads of choices in both breads, sausages and fruit. Very international. The distance to the airport is very good. The taxi-trip was around 6minutes and a price off around 15euros.
