The hotel is located up a fairly steep hill at the marina end of the promenade. The entrance foyer is bright and airy and the reception staff are competent - some are more helpful than others. Our room was on the second floor and overlooked the pool. It was adequate for our needs and the beds were comfortable. The hotel provided extra pillows when requested. The air conditioning is very noisy so we did not use. In October it was sufficient to leave the patio door ajar. Due to being at then end of the strip and also due to being close to end of season, we were not disturbed by night time noise. We were on the all inclusive option. Drinks were served in the bar from 11am to 11pm. There was sufficient choice of local beverages to cater for everyone in our party. There was a good selection of hot and cold food offered at breakfast, lunch and dinner with wine being available in the dining room. The hotel will also supply a packed lunch on request. We used this facility once and the lunch was very acceptable. The food at dinner did get to be a bit samey (we were there for four days), vegetables tended to be tinned rather than fresh, as was the fruit salad. Plenty of salad dishes available and also hot rice and pasta dishes. Potatoes tended to be chips. My main criticisms of the food was that it was only ever luke warm. Also coffee and tea is not available in the dining room at dinner. DJ entertainment was provided in the bar each evening and the guests mixed well and were keen to dance. The DJ mixed the music up so that there was something for all ages and nationalities. We did not use the wifi in the hotel as this was charged at 6euro for a 24 hour period. The sun terrace attracted only a few patrons and the sun was directly on the terrace for only limited periods of time each day. The pool was clean but rarely used. All in all I would recommend this hotel as a good budget hotel that is competively priced.
Do not go to this hotel unless you are deaf, it is noisy. The lifts are very old and have an outer door that you have to push open and when let go they bang so if you have a room near the lifts you are kept awake at night by latecomers. The walls between the rooms are very thin, you can hear people talking. On our first night we were kept awake by people next door talking loudly on the balcony until 2am. In the morning I asked to be moved to another room and the hotel staff were very good and moved us. The music downstairs in the bar in the evenings is far too loud so we had to take our drinks upstairs to the reception area. The whole hotel is in need of refurbishing. Now the good things, the food is good for a 3 star and varied and staff very good in fact staff throughout the hotel are good. The hotel is in a drab and run down area of Arenal where buildings and hotels are on top of another
Stayed here for 5 nights H/B, all for less than £600 per couple, flights and transfers included so to be honest I was not expecting to much for that but was very pleasantly surprised when got to hotel, the reception area was nice and the staff on reception were great, quite jovial and efficient, like wise were the bar staff and cleaners, always happy and polite, rooms are basic, but cleaned with new towels daily, if you want a fridge its 39 euro/week, that's a 1st for me to be honest?. If you choose to go A/I it seems the bar closes at 23-00 hrs. the entertainment is somewhat basic with bingo, DJ and Karaoke, the pool did not look to get used by many and that area of the hotel is over looked by some quite dowdy apartments. The Hotel is on the outskirts of Arenal, but quite near the main beach front, the hotel caters mainly for German tourists as it seems does Arenal. I would recommend you take a 20 euro 15 min taxi transfer rather than the 1 hr shuttle bus to and from the airport. As said I found the hotel, food and most the staff to be good, however one member of staff "Phillip" in the dinning room is without doubt one of the most obnoxious little men I have ever met in my life and certainly has issues with the way he speaks to people and no way should he ever be in a job that involves him working with people, the finishing touch with him after 2 nights of ill manners was when he sent a waitress to physically snatch a glass of wine from the table in front of me, after just i had left the dinning room with it to sit and relax in the reception area where others were drinking tea/coffee, she simply snatched the glass, poured it into a plastic one and stormed back to the dinning room with out so much of a word why, that's when i finally spoke to "Philip" as to why and to which he would not even discuss, simply walking away when asked a question, seems glasses are not allowed outside of the dinning room? which i fully understand around a pool area, but the pool is a floor away, you also only get plastic glasses in the bar at all times. No where could I see anything telling you this. Also when you are H/B even water has to be purchased with your evening meal, you cannot also just buy a glass of wine, having to purchase the bottle whilst A/I are able to just have a glass? some strange rules and just a real shame that this Hotel is blighted by the likes "Philip" who in one fell swoop can undo all the goodness that other members of staff portray. Needless to say it is not a place i shall ever return.
Really enjoyed our holiday at this hotel. It's a very well run hotel . The dinning room is excellent with friendly staff and a huge choice of different food. Rooms are spotless and of good size. Entertainment we loved the seventies night all good fun. The only down side was no brollies round the pool but we bought one so all ok. Highly recommend.
Excelent people service, very good room cleaning and service. Buffet very good. Pool very good and clean. Very good envolvent area to walk and shopp. Good places to go like "cuevas drach" and "cuevas hams" Very good beaches to go.
We all enjoyed every minute of our 2 week All Inclusive Holiday, our room was a good size with a double bed and a single bed and travel cot for the four of us, a good sized bathroom with a shower, there are 3 swimming pools 2 big and a kids, the restaurant you can share with the hotel joined on to the other hotel, you can use either restaurant there is also a Pizzera you can use from 10am, the entertainment team are amazing they have daytime activities for adults and children and also the same at night, plenty of activities to keep all the Family happy if you want to take part, we will be coming back at some point, couldn't fault the hotel at all, would reccomened to Family and Friends
To start with we had booked a double room when we got to our room it was 2 single beds! we waited till the next morning got up had a shower which flooded the bathroom as the shower was too powerful! so we went to reception and said to the 2 attendants that we hadn't got the right room plus the shower had flooded the bathroom, they were quite rude and insisted they could not do anything about it,i kept on to them and said it was not good enough, eventually the hotel manager came out and miraculously he gave us another room, which was what we should of had in the first place. food selection was poor for the size of the hotel. On the last night of our holiday we were in our room at 6.30pm my partner was in the bathroom naked when a housemaid just walked into the room without knocking the door or anything after she saw my partner with nothing on she turned round and went out,i was furious,so i went straight down to reception to find the manager, suprise suprise he wasn't there, so i insisted on waiting ,eventually he turned up,i told him what had happened, and i insisted we got this maid down to explain herself but he wouldnt ,he just said he would sack her in the morning which i thought was rubbish,i wanted her there to explain herself and he wouldnt do it,obviously he knows his staff are up to no good and hes protecting them which i find disgusting, disgraceful and totally not right. The manager should be ashamed of himself to allow such behaviour. We have been to majorca 2 times previous to this visit at different hotels which were fantastic, this hotel was awful,i would never come here again and would definitely not recommend it,very noisy at night, but that was nothing compared to everything else.we also were not aware of the steep hill that takes you to the beach as we both suffer with our health it wasn't ideal and if we knew about that we would not of booked in the first place.
My partner and I stayed here for a week, it was the first holiday that I've been desperate to return from. First impressions were ok, foyer was clean and smart as were the communal areas, but when we went to our room that was another matter. We had booked a double room and arrived to find twin beds. After an early flight, I jumped in the shower to freshen up, the water pressure was such that it sprayed the entire bathroom, the tiled floor became very dangerous to walk on, and when I called my partner for help with the shower he slipped. We went down to discuss our difficulties with the staff who were quite uninterested, but stated that they would change our room the next day, which we were happy enough with. The next day we went back and were told to come back after 1pm when people had checked out, and the rooms had been cleaned. We called back at about 3 and were then told, you are too late now, all the rooms have gone! Eventually the manager came out and gave us another room with no problems. Our new room was much better, shower worked fine and we had our double bed. Food was adequate but didn't change much. The pool backed on to some rather dodgy looking flats that were an eyesore. To get to the beach/town you had to negotiate a very large hill with high gradient. I suffer with osteoarthritis and fluid retention and found it very difficult to get up the hill, I paid for a taxi instead of walking up that hill on a couple of occasions it was that bad. If you want a fridge you have to hire one at a charge of €39 a week, and you also have to pay for a safe. There is no kettle, in fact the rooms are very sparsely furnished. The vast amount of people residing at the hotel are German, we found them to be quite rowdy. The most concerning part of our stay came on the penultimate evening. I was getting ready to go out, I'd just finished my shower when a maid just let herself into the room and saw me in all my glory! The room had already been serviced in the daytime so she had no need to be there. We were offered a free holiday but frankly we wouldn't return for the reasons stated. I really dislike moaning and don't do it lightly but I want people to read about the experience we had.
saw this hotel on the internet and it was rated here on tripadvisor 5 /44.not too bad thinks i - and i wasnt disappointed. lovely hotel for budget travellers, probably the best 3 star ive stayed in. a few minor niggles but overall very good, if you want 4 or 5 star book elsewhere. located around 350m from the beach, up a slight hill, but nothing most guests couldnt cope with, guests were predominantly young german groups, out having fun, loud but no trouble.the resort - el arenal is a german resort mainly, if you want plenty of british bars then look elsewhere. food was excellent, fresh plentiful and varied, drinks were included at meal times (a.i.).we ate at 1450 one day and the hot plate was still overflowing.drinks were of good local brand quality.there was no snack bar or ice creams but restaurant was open for sufficient time. easy quick check in, try and speak to daniel, extremely helpful guy, thanks for all your advice. room was as expected for a similar hotel, cleaning and maid services were second to none. other reviews stated pool was in shade, later in the afternoon a tree gave some shelter, a good thing in the heat i thought.lots of sunbeds too. entertainment was a weak point, a man with a laptop playing music.....hey ho. gym was a token gesture, a large room wasted.set of darts and a table tennis table by the pool, a little investment would go a long way. would i return? yes,but possibly i wont.the hotel was lovely but i prefer other resorts.if i could lift the pinero tal up and put it in a more diverse resort then it would be a pleasure to stay again.thanks for a great break, early june 2017.
The reason there isn't many upto date English reviews is because the hotel is mainly German or European. Not a bad thing as everyone is polite! Stayed for 4 nites half board with my friend who was cycling. The rooms are ok, clean with a decent shower. No fridge or tea making etc but for the price you pay its reasonable. Tv is just sky news. Air con is free The pool is rubbish, no one uses it. Overlooked by private apartments and doesn't get the sun. Everyone went to the beach with is 2 mins away The fitness centre is a joke, 2 bikes and a bench. Either update or close it! Food is what u expect, always something to eat. Staff werw always friendly. That goes for the reception staff too. No shower or secure place to leave your bags when u check out and fly later. The security of the luggage room really needs improving. At the least a remote lock from the reception desk. Overall a decent place for what we paid
