Overall the hotel is ok, but no more than that. We arrived late in the evening (23.30) and there was no possibility to eat anything. Shops and resto’s arround were closed so we went to bed hungry. The breakfast again is ok, but could be much better. The orange juices are not fresh and taste toxic. The scrabbled eggs were quite cold and the sweet breakfast backeries, like croisssnts or pain de chocolate tasted old. The bar closes very early and you don’t get anything in the room like water or coffee. The room was clean but the wardrobe was broken, drawers could barely open. One of our lights didn’t work and the shower took a while to provide hot water. The beds were very good though, firm and of high quality. The thing that bothered us the most was the sound of the airco/heating system from outside. It was on the roof of the restaurant, below our terrace and it was so noicy you could not open the terrace window at night or enjoy your balcony.
Great location as it’s right on the beach and the bus to town is right across the street from the hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the rooms were modern and clean with an amazing view. Breakfast buffet was also great 👍
We stayed here for a weekend, with breakfast and dinner included. Why you shouldn’t choose this hotel, if you don’t want a big headache instead of a relaxing holiday: 1)The hotel doesn’t have any sound dampeners for the doors so all we could hear all night were doors slamming. 2) cleaning is done sloppily. The shower had hair in the drain and the indoor pool had a cigarette butt in it. The rooms have an either gym smell or a sewage smell. 3) the staff is rather rude. Every time we asked for something one of the receptionists would always say ‘no’ and wave her hands in the air like an upset teenager. 4) the food is average, with the quality being often overlooked especially at breakfast. Most of the croissants and cake in the morning come out of a mass produced box and the fruits come out of cans a lot of the time. On the positive side, the hotel is close to the beach and the beds are comfortable. You will probably get to appreciate the comfortable beds as you lie awake at night not being able to sleep because a door slams loudly every 5 minutes.
The HM Gran Fiesta hotel is in a wonderful location to explore Majorca and a great location for a bit of sun. The rooms are well sized and modern - all with a wonderful sea view, the public areas and bars inviting and stylish. Food is good with a nice selection on offer - it's not fine dining but fresh, varied and well presented - what more do you want. The hotel itself is just 30 seconds from the beach and on major bus routes into the main city centre of Palma. A great stay overall!
The hotel is quite good for Spanish standard, rooms looking ok, breakfast is more about quantity then quality but ok. Nice rooftop with good view. If something negative then the rooms were not properly cleaned and had not too good sound isolation. Location was not that good, around 2 hours walk from the city, very old-feel tourists area with a lack of authentic restaurants and cafes. Highly priced for an average hotel.
I normally do not right reviews, but after reading some of the bad reviews I thought I would put my experience of this hotel in. We booked this hotel direct and found this so easy to do. We arrived at the hotel at midday and got a room straight away and did not have to wait till 2pm. The room it's self was very clean as was the whole hotel. The food is plentiful and for an all inclusive very good and with the dining timings you can pretty much eat from 7:30am - 9:30. The all inclusive drinks start from 10am - 11pm and includes 9 different cocktails, cava, sangria, red wine, white wine, rose wine along with smirnoff vodka and j&b whisky and coca cola and sprite and fruit juices. Now I heard a lot of bad reviews about the staff and found this to be not the case every member of staff was very helpful and polite. Location, right on a beautiful sandy beach, lots of the shops are closed this time of the season but we still found a few. This is a mainly German and older hotel So if you are looking to go for a short winter break to catch some late sun and recharge your batteries. And are concerned with some of the reviews. Forget the negative reviews and choose this wonderful hotel. I would go back in a heart beat.
The staff was awesome and very helpful especially a guy in the kitchen who was off duty and helped us with getting on the correct bus to get to our destination. We didn’t know he worked at the hotel until we seen him later in the evening in uniform. The breakfast and dinner we indulged in was great!!! They had live entertainment and people were having a great time. There are many shops and restaurants along the strip that you can enjoy. There was two outdoor pools and and one indoor pool. Plenty of places to sunbathe! The downside for us is that the indoor pool closed to early 8pm, it would of been nice if they at least closed at 10 pm especially during the cooler months. The elevator is extremely small... with luggage two people can fit, without 4 without personal space. The rooms were rather small but still enjoyable, the beds were hard but doable. One main thing I would suggest is the blankets they keep in the closet to get rid of and purchase new. They look very old as something you would see in a outdated motel. My thought is the blankets were utilized prior to a renovation. Overall we had an awesome stay and would stay again.
This could and should be a lovely place to stay. The hotel itself is located in a wonderful location and has a modern, clean and fresh feel. Overall we enjoyed our holiday, however, there were several issues which dampened our much looked forward to break. We booked fully inclusive and for the most part the food and drinks were plentiful with a vast selection. One of our party was a vegetarian and they struggled as the offerings were mainly fish and meat based. It would be nice to have something such as a pasta station which I believe would prove popular with most guests, not just vegetarians. On the first night of our stay several of the dishes were cold and the pizza was not cooked. This improved as our 3 night holiday continued and we particularly enjoyed the Spanish night. The drink options, for those fully inclusivie, on the face of it seemed great...however, we were very disappointed to find that we were offered cocktails and coffee out of a inferior machine that were super sweet, whilst watching others have delicious cocktails make with fresh ingredients and coffee from a sophisticated set up! However, the above pale into insignificance when it came to two male members of the bar staff. On our second night, my brother went to the bar to get drinks for the four of us. The barman made a mistake with one of the drinks, no big deal, except for when asked politely for the correct drink he became abusive and aggressive to the point where he invited my brother to meet him outside, when his shift finished, to sort it out physically! Immediately we went to reception to report this, they didn't seem too concerned which worried us immensely! We had observed this gentleman's rather flamboyant behavior dancing around guests and slapping his thighs during the live bad earlier and he seemed somewhat intoxicated. This did not seem appropriate behavior for a member of staff to us! The following evening, myself and my friend went to the bar where a different bartender was serving, he ignored us for sometime and then chose to serve another guest as they walked in from the terrace. Later on he continued to talk with another member of staff for a period of time, whilst we waited again for a drink (it seemed as if they were discussing us). We later saw and noted that he was like this to other guests - the common denominator being that we were all English! I would however like to acknowledge all of the other staff that were delightful, helpful, happy and friendly. It saddens me to think that the hotel could lose valuable guests and ratings where the problem in the main lies with these two individuals. I feel obliged to highlight these issues to other travelers, as had we been aware we would have likely stayed else where.
What a lovely hotel! I was on a short break to get some relaxation and good food. This hotel did not disappoint. Good location: On arrival, I travelled from the airport by taxi (€20 for 2 passengers). On departure, I travelled to the airport by bus (€5 per person) and the bus stops right outside the hotel! The hotel is right by the sea - perfect. There is also a bus service into the centre of Palma (€1.50). Good food: I booked half board. Breakfast was simply excellent. Dinner had a good range of food, with themed nights (e.g. Mexican, Spanish) with plenty of food options. Very nice indeed. Fabulous room: I booked a seaview room. It was well worth the extra money to have the view AND I had a full terrace! My friend was booked in a separate room which had a side-sea view over the pool and that room was very nice too. Bed was comfortable. Room and bathroom very clean. Refrigerator in the room. There was even a clock with iPhone docking station and USB connection - perfect for charging the phone and listening to music. There was an extra charge for the safe (€3 per day) and €10 deposit required for beach towels. Staff and service: All received with a smile. All questions answered. All very polite. Facilities: Rooftop pool was great. It has a nice ambience. Main pool was good with plenty of loungers (but it was winter so this was to be expected ...). Heated indoor pool was a good too. The hotel needs to improve its wifi though - the access and speed should be much better than it was given that the other facilities were all so good! Guests: The hotel was fully booked during my stay. A mixed clientle with plenty of cyclists which meant that the cyclists were out all day so the hotel never felt crowded. I'm booking this hotel again for a trip next year. So - if the Manager reads this, you have plenty of time to sort the wifi out before I'm back!
When we got to our room we didn't have any pillow case on our pillows, so we had to ask the cleaning lady for it. We told the receptionist that the air-condition and the refrigerator didn't work. A man came up and switched the refrigerator, he insisted that the air-condition was fine even tho he was sweating. We also saw the floor was dirty, with a lot of hair and toenails! We told the lady in the reception about that and after one hour a cleaning lady came to the room. She was cleaning the floor with a broom. She didn't understand English, or she didn't want to understand, so we could not tell her that the floor still was dirty and a lot of dirt. We had to swipe the floor with a wet towel so we could show the lady in the reception. She called the cleaning lady again! We didn't even bother the tell about all the smashed mosquitos on the wall. There is no lock on the balcony door, use the safe! There is no cleaning everyday, just making up the bed and gives new towels. We had a superior room, that is suppose to be 20 square meters, but it is really small. I guess to long hall to the room is included in this 20 meters. You can not be shy living in this room, there is a sliding door to the toilet, that is not leaving a lot for the imagination. If you want to have a sunbed by the pool, you have to be there before 8 in the morning. All of the sunbeds are reserved with towels. This is something the hotel could prevent by setting up rules for this. The rooftop was beautiful, but there is no umbrellas och shadow, so can not be there for long time. The breakfast is good with a lot of variety of bread and cheese. The location is nice, just by the beach. 2 euro for one glass of water by the pool.
