What can I say, fantastice. Beach front position, stylish, food and atmosphere brilliant. Short walk from Can Pastilla. Beautiful promenade.. Quiet resort, will suit all, young and old. Sunsets to die for
Room had beautiful views. Coffee machine dressing gowns slippers. Shower gel and hand soap etc. Nice clean spacious room. Fluffy towels and crisp clean sheets. Maids very friendly. Food was good. Lots of choice. The themed nights looked lovely. The staff take a lot of trouble and work hard, always with a smile. Plenty of sunbed areas. Two pools ( one Rooftop ) plenty of sun beds and no reserving with towels from early morning which was so refreshing. The area was very geared up towards German tourists but that didn’t worry us. Nice long flat walks both ways from our hotel which was right by the beach. Not a cheap priced hotel , but you get what you pay for I think. Was worth the money to us. Staff at reception were pleasant and checking in and out went smoothly.
The hotel itself is very nice. The decor is contemporary Spanish. The roof terrace and pool have a beautiful, bohemian Mediterranean style. The room was clean and modern. We stayed bed and breakfast. There was an option to upgrade here but we wanted to go explore other restaurants this weekend. The breakfast ticked the boxes. There’s plenty to chose from. There’s cereals, fruits & yoghurt, sweet pastries, bread selection, hot buffet and cold meats and cheese. You won’t struggle choosing something you enjoy. The outdoor pools were too cold to swim in unfortunately, but we did lounge by the pool for one of our warmer days. We didn’t struggle getting a good lounger on the roof terrace. The views are fantastic! It can get a bit breezy by the pools but I think it’s just this time of year. The room was a perfect size. The tv had bbc 2, channel 4 and cbbc. The bathroom was fine, although the shower sometimes would overflow a bit so I would have to reduce the pressure of the shower. Now the beds, I found them to be very uncomfortable. They are very hard, which for me is not a good thing as I woke up many times with dead arms and my partner did too. The staff are friendly and professional. We didn’t really need to use them for much, but when we did have a question they helped. The bar in the main area has a great selection of drinks if your paying. The all inclusive menu is smaller. We bought a few gin and tonics here, be warned, the measurements are ridiculously strong, we didn’t complain though! A few things to note. You have to put a €20 Euro deposit on your pool towels as you are not allowed to take out the bathroom towels. You can charge drinks from the bar to your room and pay at the end of your stay. When booking this hotel I recommend getting the 21 bus €1.50 or a taxi from the airport. It’s only 5 minutes away from the airport and we paid £28 each to get a coach! There’s kind of regular buses to Palma. The 25 is the express bus which takes around 10 mins and there’s the 15 which takes around 25 mins both costing €1.50 each and the bus stop is right outside the hotel. I would recommend this hotel. It’s ticked all the boxes for our relaxing get away. As foodies, The only downside to the area is there aren’t many restaurants around us. Next time we’d love to stay in Palma as the city has such beautiful charm and vibe!
We came all inclusive . A last minute break which was not cheap. The hotel itself is lovely and clean and the location is great.. right on the beachfront .We found the service at the bar quite shocking . When my husband asked for a beer (very politely ) the reply was ..."another one? " this was our second drink!! We were all inclusive , but it felt like we were not very welcome here . On another occasion he was told.. you already have one !! His glass was almost empty. If you are not a cyclist or German then I wouldn't recommend this hotel . Such a shame as we had saved hard earned money for this holiday .
Our 2nd time at this hotel, and still as pleased as the last time we visited, clean rooms, helpful happy staff, good food, it's beach front location in the centre of the bay Is brilliant, the resort itself is clean and tidy, lots of nice bars and plenty of shops, you can walk in the seafront all the way into palma, or there is a dedicated cycle path, will definately return.
I arrived this hotel for a 5 day stay with my kids from the UK and was initially allowed to check in early which was impressive. This was the only good thing about the hotel stay. I was given a room directly opposite the elevator with 2 kids which I had to go down to the recreation desk to change. The decor in the room also seemed dated and hideous and unlike the pictures shown on their website. I was then given another room at the reception which was with its own issues. The heating in the room won’t go off and when I tried to ring the reception desk to change thre room, I realised the room phone was not working. The room also had an opening in the ceiling where the fire sprinkler was located in the room. Water from the shower seeped into the room whilst having a shower. This room was a bit neater but again we had to ask to be moved to another room. The lady at the reception was nasty and rude this time around until her colleague who was more helpful took over to resolve the issue. We were then moved to a third room on the first day which I decided to accept no matter any issues that unfolded as we were all tired. The issues with this room were -1. an awful stench in the corridor that smelt like a blocked drain which kept smelling in the room (thankfully I brought an air freshener with me). 2. The doors on this floor were slammed and woke us up at night when guests moved so no proper soundproofing. 3. I practically had to request that my room was cleaned on 2 separate days and the housekeeper left a stained bed cover from the previous day on one occasion. The housekeeping lady was so rude. The reception lady said it was because they change beddings every 5days! 4. The sliding door in the room kept vibrating at night and making noises due to the wind as the door is obviously not well secure. This made sleeping uncomfortable. Eventually, I discovered whilst packing to leave on the 4th day that the trousers I wore to the hotel was missing and could only have been lost whilst changing rooms. I notified the reception desk who were not really helpful in my opinion. They claimed the housekeeping team had not to have found this. Such a waste of money and holiday time staying in this hotel
We found this hotel very clean, bright, friendly & well positioned right on the sea front. Only down side (& this is a personal thing) was that although Jet2’s website says there’s air conditioning, it is still on winter settings in April, in other words switched off. Therefore although we did have to leave the balcony door wide open during the night we still found the room far too warm & didn’t sleep well at all. Overall it is a great hotel and good location.
Half board, double room, decent size and what you would expect from a 4 star hotel although I felt they fell short a bit on hotel complimentary products ie bathroom products. As for the staff, they are what make this hotel what it is, especially Alessia at reception and Toni - extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. Alessia never stops smiling and Toni is the type of person to come up with a solution for any problem you may have. Stress-free stay, convenient location - 10 minutes or so away from the Airport (taxi costs just under 20 Euros). Taxis called from reception are usually available within 1 minute, it's a 20 Euro taxi ride to Palma or you can take one of the buses for 1.5 Euros from the bus stop behind the hotel (if you take the express bus, journey time is reduced from 40 minutes to 10 minutes or so.) You may also choose to rent a car from the hotel catalogue. Playa de Palma Beach is directly opposite the hotel, many restaurants and shops are available along the promenade. The indoor pool is heated and has a built in jacuzzi which is not the best I've used but it's okay. The sauna is 6 Euros for 1 person for 1 hour (you'll have the key to the Sauna shower private facilities and sauna room of course.) If I ever travel to Mallorca again, Gran Fiesta would be my go to hotel.
Firstly this hotel is right on the beach, with a long promenade in front, great for walks and bike rides. Lots of little shops and places to get a beer and a snack. The buses to Palma stop outside, it’s €1.50 per person. Really clean hotel, very modern. We stayed first week of April and it was a mixed age range. Young families, groups of single girls and boys, and older people. No one group dominated the other. However 95% were German, and we found, like other reviews, the staff chatted happily in German, but the other nationalities were ignored. As an example, when we arrived a German couple were in front of us. Although I don’t speak German, you could tell everything was explained to them. When we checked in we were told nothing. I found out later it costs €2 a day for the safe, and €10 deposit to hire pool towels. Air Con was not working, although it was 24 degrees and we had a South facing room. At breakfast we were never offered a pot of coffee, the Germans were. We collected our tea and coffee from the machine (great latte) We paid extra for a beach front room. Although all rooms have sea view, only beach front (4 on each floor) have the sun all day. The others were in shade all day. I was interested in the rooms with the huge private patio, with sun beds and umbrellas. So glad I didn’t bother. As you can see from the photo, they are anything but private. More like a gold fish bowl! WiFi is free and very strong in the rooms, but very weak in communal areas. All rooms have a good sized fridge, with a light! Quite unusual. But no tea or coffee making facilities. This is a German area of Palma, all signs in shops were in German, even the Tshirts have German logos on them. Only good German place was MegaPark, where beer is free until 12.30! All in all, a great hotel, with a fab location.
Haven't been to Majorca since 70's so thought we would give it a try. Booked through Jet2, they changed our hotel 3 weeks prior to travelling to the Gran Fiesta. We were happy with the change, the hotel is right opposite the beach with fabulous sea views from all rooms. The rooms were very clean & modern with comfortable beds. My only gripe with room was lack of hanging space, in the bottom of wardrobe was the safe & a small fridge & drawers, so you could not hang long items, trousers, dresses. They need to replace the bedside tables for drawers & take out the desk to make room for the fridge. There was not a huge choice of food (we went all inc) but it was only March & hotel half full. The staff & service was excellent. My other gripe is the fact that the food was never hot, unless you were there when they replenished dishes from the kitchen. There was not a lot of places open nearby so it was a quiet holiday, there was entertainment on 2 evenings which were both good. This hotel and resort is very much geared to German tourists, but may change at a busier time of year.
