What can I say ... lovely, helpful staff, fantastic location, beautiful hotel, brilliant. Suggestion for improvement to make it totally perfect would be to offer free or low cost water at the pool rather than pay bar prices.
I would definitely recommend this hotel ! Beautiful location overlooking the marina and not too far from Palma centre . All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and this , together with excellent rooms and hospitality , made the holiday very enjoyable . Definitely recommend a visit !
Great location, service and food. From reception to the restaurant staff who were highly attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much and the cortado the best I've had in a hotel. The pool is simple but clean and plenty of beds and towels for all.
Just returned from a five night stay with my husband and daughter, in this amazing 5 star hotel. From the moment we arrived it felt so relaxing and welcoming. The staff are terrific, especially Kremena in reception, the porters, DRY bar staff, dining room staff, pool staff, cleaners, all were so helpful and caring. The staff are what makes this great hotel an amazing hotel. The hotel interiors are absolutely beautiful, no computers on show at reception, all brilliantly hidden from view, to allow the eye to be drawn to the WOW views of the sea and marina beyond. The dining room is elegant and the food delicious, breakfast is a feast, a vast array and variety of food on offer. A chef cooks your eggs, what ever way you want, in front of you. The DRY bar with its luxurious seating and breathtaking views, offer a great bar food and drinks menu. Sitting there looking out to sea was a high light of our evenings. The pool area is well laid out and the loungers are very comfortable with plenty of towels, with bar and food service. In the bedrooms, the beds are soooo comfy and the hotel is very quiet and peaceful for a good nights sleep, the showers are powerful, kettle provided, for those of us who like a cup of tea, toiletries are gorgeous Clarins products. A turn down service is provided at night. Curtins, lights and air con are controlled by an electronic control pad on the bed side locker, which is terrific. We are already planning our next visit and stay at this wonderful hotel. Can`t wait!
Been in hotel since last Saturday and will be sorry to leave this Saturday. Lovely hotel, great ambience.Friendly, helpful efficient staff. Excellent choice at breakfast. Book red level service room with a sea view if possible - free drink and snacks in reserved lounge from 11am - 9pm !! Nothing a problem for staff to organise- been very impressed with their helpfulness. Will def return. Ps we went to 9am mass in Cathedral 8 priests on altar then we had Cathedral to ourselves for 20 mins before lots of tourists came in .
Getting off a 5 star cruise and checking in here definitely felt like we were going down a grade. The room was not very big and they had modernized in the most economical way they could by the looks of things. The bathroom was still old fashioned, although I have to admit the toiletries were great. Cleaning staff came at various times every day so we never knew if we were going to encounter them right after breakfast, which we did a couple of times, or have to ask reception to send them to clean our room when it got so late, which we did once too. We thought the staff in general were more interested in themselves than us. We were bed and breakfast only and breakfast was good but when we looked at the prices for evening meal we found it way to overpriced so gave it a miss. There are so many decent restaurants outside in Palma anyway, so this wasn't an issue at all. The main road the hotel sits on is busy and noisy, even at night so that wasn't ideal for a nice quiet stroll, especially at the weekend when we had to side step young groups of locals getting drunk on the benches on the sea wall. We liked the swimming pool at the hotel. Very clean and very nice to spend time around although as others say the drinks are VERY expensive, even the water. Not the 5 star experience we were hoping for.
The hotel was of a very good standard with polite and friendly staff. The room was very comfortable with all amenities. We had B&B and there was good selection at breakfast. We had a late arrival and departure over which the hotel was very accommodating.
Was just impressed on our second visit as our first and will definitely return again the only complaint was I did not get a chance to inform the management of the superb service we received from several members of staff.
We booked this hotel following a weeks cruise. We thought we would need a few days to relax after a busy week. We were not disappointed. All the staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Our room was lovely and very spacious. The complimentary toiletries are Clarins!! Need I say more. The pool is salt water but very clean and there were plenty of sun loungers and soft fluffy pool towels. There is waiter service at the pool. Drinks are pricey, 5 euros for half a litre of water. We were bed and breakfast and the breakfast buffet was truly a feast and very high quality. The restaurants outside the hotel are very reasonable but sadly are on the main road which is a bit noisy and annoying. Overall we would return and will look for Gran Melia hotels elsewhere when we travel. A real treat.
Not enough solo umbrellas at the pool area which can become very hot in the day and almost impossible to walk barefoot on the decking area. Drinks at the bar can be expensive £12 for a Rum and coke?rooms were clean and very comfortable with no exterior noise.
