We moved room due to noise of properties near our bedroom and enjoyed the 6th floor over looking the castle we had a large bathroom and a separate dressing room no English TV or Sky English channels only the news I really feel for a 5 star hotel and during winter months residents that are English guests should have BBC1 And ITV as most of the guests are English also to have a free English newspaper to the bedroom would of been a nice touch. No complimentary water in the bedrooms and no water machines in the hallway/lobby the surrounding area I didn't like the location a nightclub next to the hotel, thank god it was closed during Christmas. The views thou superb of the city and harbour.

Since the Palas Atenea was closed we booked into the Victoria. I had stayed there several years ago but I had forgotten just how good it is. Everything went perfectly from Check In to Check Out. And the Bottle of Fizz in the room was very welcome. Unfortunately it was very quiet in the Hotel which didn't help the atmosphere. We missed the access to "The Level" which we benefit from at Palas Atenea inspite of being Platinum Members.

After a few days at Gran Melia hotel we feel it left plenty to be desired. The best part of our room was the view which we did pay for, if we had not paid for it, there wouldn't be anything really fantastic to say about the room. By the way, they really try to "sell" the views and the upgrades of the rooms when you check-in. While there is a lot nearby the hotel like restaurants and pubs, its not very nice or high end, so even though we stayed there to walk to places during the day and night, we always took a taxi to a better area, so we maybe should have stayed in a better street.

I stayed a week in this hotel during off season.. but i was delighted with this hotel staff, room, breakfast!!! I was there for working reason but it felt so good to go back to the hotel at night.. ejoying a good bath with the Clarins bath amenities and waiting for a glorious breakfast in the morning.. I'll be back !!!

The location is amazing and close to many great restaurants. Rooms good but not five stars. Service is excellent and reception staff good but we didn't get a room with the best view because they said there wasnt any left! Would go back in high season because the atmosphere is much better.

Let me state that I was here in off season - December and I imagine my stay would be vastly different in season. I didn't love the location. Walkable yes to the city center, but a long walk. If you walk on the Promenade it was pretty, walk out the front door and the area is a little depressed, graffiti and lots of abandoned buildings. The decor in the rooms is dark and feels dated. The room has too many buttons and gadgets, it was confusing. I did have a beautiful view of the water. Staff is great - helpful and very attentive. Room was dark, but very comfortable. The breakfast was superb. The pool looked amazing (closed for the season). Again, in season, I bet this places rocks!

Very Good hotel, we have stayed a few times and would probably go back The hotel is within walking distance of the cathedral and the city center The only small problem is a lot of the shops etc in the immediate area of the hotel have been closed due to the recession but i wouldn't let that put me off going back .. Palma is a great city and this hotel is well worth using as a base

My daughter and I stayed here for a week just to relax. We booked a red level service room. We enjoyed the luxury that this afforded us and couldn’t fault the room, nor the staff. We also had access to a lounge area where we could have teas, coffee, nibbles and alcohol. There was a stunning terrace bar and part of this area could be used in the morning for breakfast. Although the hotel is situated directly next door to a nightclub it doesn’t get noisy on the terrace. The pool area was busy but we always managed to get a sunbed and the pool was refreshing sea water. They also have an indoor pool. We enjoyed it although I didn’t enjoy the booking process through Melia.com. In fact every time I’ve booked using it I think I won’t use Melia again.

Beautiful hotel near the centre of Palma with excellent staff and service. The hotel is quiet but is within easy reach of everything in Palma and overlooks the port. All the facilities in the hotel are excellent and I enjoyed every minute of my stay. The Red Level staff are extremely helpful and efficient and give a first class service.

Excellent hotel , polite and helpful staff. Lovely food. Great situation. Extremely good breakfast very relaxing ambience. Christmas decorations were being put up , all very tasteful . Very comfortable beds and pillows.
