Valley Creek Retreat was the perfect place for my family. The layout is ideal and very comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised at the beautiful sight and sound of the creek. The fire pit area was an amazing setting by the creek's running water. One of the favorite locations of the cabin for the kids/ teens is the downstairs room with a great lounging area and pool table/ table tennis. It was fun for my wife and me as well. The location is so conveniently close to Maggie Valley. I am very appreciative of the quick responses from the host whenever we reached out. It was a great experience!

Well-kept cabin in a great spot — under 10 minutes to Maggie Valley town and close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, making it a perfect landing spot for fall color viewing and hiking. The views and the creek out back were a big hit with both adults and kids. Firepit (with ready firewood) and hot tub were great touches that made evenings extra cozy. Only feedback (not a showstopper): quite a few cobwebs on the patio, likely seasonal or due to fewer recent visitors. Also, note that the refundable security deposit is quite high and took over two weeks to be released. Overall, a relaxing and convenient mountain stay — would recommend for a peaceful getaway.

The house is very nice and great location. We had a few plumbing issues but the manager responded immediately to my text and had it fixed. The house is very well stocked and supplied, more than any other property we have rented. The creek behind the house is amazing!

This is such a well kept cabin. It is homey and beautiful. My family lived hearing the water rushing behind the cabin and the serene front porch with the rockers. We walked the neighborhood and enjoyed the quiet nature. We love Maggie Valley!

Wonderful location and accommodations

We came in for Thunder In The Smokies and stayed at this fantastic location. Very roomy all around. Everything was clean and comfortable. The stream in the backyard was great for taking pictures and sitting by to relax. We didn't fire up the fire pit, but it's nice to have if we had decided to (we probably will on our next stay). The hot tub was great, as was the game room. We did use the grill one night... You've got to have a grill in a location like this. This is our home when hitting the mountains.

Friends get together

The house was spacious. Porches were amazing. Loved all the rocking chairs and swings. Some floor spots were raised by sliding door and kitchen. Had to watch your step.

Salvaged Trip

The property is wonderful. Especially the proximity to the backyard creek with the deck. Unfortunately, the community well that provides the property its water failed and house had no water. We were quickly moved to a comparable property by the staff and they also extended our checkout time. I understand these things can happen which is why I have my own personal well at my house and choose not to use the community well. The new property was similar but not quite as nice and probably goes for a little less. Would definitely return to stay at original property.

Overall a great place

The house itself and location is great! The thermostat however, was not good. The whole trip it kept doing its own thing and wouldn’t go by the temp that was set. We would be scorching hot one minute & then freezing the next. The host did get it fixed the first night but it was an ongoing issue the whole trip. The hot tub at its max was warm but not hot. We had wet fire wood so there wasn’t much of a fire. None of this ruined our trip and I would stay again.

Dream vacation!

We were so happy about our accommodations! The location could not have been better for accessing the places we wanted to go. Some of our family were just content to hang at the cabin because it was so comfortable and lots of entertainment available. We enjoyed the ping pong,darts , games, hot tub and esp the sound of the creek while hanging at the fire pit! It was much like the sound of the ocean! Very well equipped and clean! We would love to come back to this beautiful home!! Thank you so much ! The Thomas’s
