This place is adequate and average. It was recommended by my client company as being most convenient for their offices, and with a shuttle bus there. The evening staff were very friendly and professional, the bocadillo I had in the bar was fine, and the room was sparse but acceptable. There's a Mercadona supermarket nearby where I bought some food for breakfast. The real black mark of my stay was that they messed up the morning shuttle bus - having been told that it left at 8.30, they let it depart at 8.15 (because of bad traffic) without telling me. Since I was running a conference for 20 people, starting at 9am, this was a big problem. There was no apology from the woman on reception in the morning; she did arrange a taxi, but with bad grace, and it took 15 minutes to arrive. Another person, from a different company, was also stranded this way on the same morning. Beware if you need to get to work on time!

Stayed for 4 nights and have to say the hotel was better than my expectations. It is a clean modern hotel with friendly staff. Whilst it is a bit marooned in a commercial area to the north of the city you do not have to walk far from the hotel to find some interesting local bars and restaurants (just turn left out of the main entrance then first left). The fixed menu in the cafeteria provides very good value 2 course meals and the breakfasts are very substantial with a good choice of fresh fruit, bread and cooked options. Excellent wifi even on the 3rd floor. My only disappointment was the lack of choice of TV channels for non-spanish speaking guests. BBC World News or live sports would have been a real plus. It is a fair walk to the nearest metro but nowhere is very far if you have a car or are OK to use taxis. Comfortable bed, great hot showers and a well-stocked mini bar!

I've been for one night, arrived late, left after breakfast. Front desk staff was okay but not necessarily friendly or greeting you with a smile but no deal breaker. Late dinner/snack ended up in the hotel bar which is very basic and the food like in a train station restaurant - frozen mediocre dishes. The room and whole ambiance of the hotel is still rather old and basic whatever the renovation has been in 2015. In total, you can stay there but don't expect int'l 4* level - there is 4* business hotels in Spain which are modern, light, and nicer. Still, if you end up doing business in that area it's okay for a night, I guess.

The hotel is in the north part of the city where offices and business is. It pretends to be a 4stars.... what a mistake! I would say 2, 3 if generous. Old fashioned, a lot of marble and gold, very baroque, no amenities, very crappy single bed, no cocktails in the very old bar closing at midnight. Does a 4stars offer coffee from automatic machines in the morning? And no fresh cooked food even if requested? No shower, only bathtub with shower extension, and intermittent hot water. Never more....

This hotel should've never been tanked 4 stars, it is barely meets 3 stars requirements is thst... rooms were extremely small. So small that mini refrigerator door would not fully open. To top it up, the shower didn't have hot water. On the maximum heat setting it was lukewarm. I could not take a shower or bath. The hairdryer didn't work. The noise started at 5 AM. The staff was moving chairs, people were talking in the hallway, but it felt like it was right next to my ear. The walls are paper thin. I could not sleep after 5 AM, even with earplugs in. For your information I never use earplugs, but I had some from my business Flood kit and tried it out of desperation. I normally sleep really well in hotels and actually enjoy city noise. But that was unbearable. The area around the hotel was industrial and very dirty. I can't believe we're paid for this hotel over $200 per night per room for two rooms. Total rip off. I will never stay in this hotel for free live alone paying.... do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.

Hotel located a business area, overall providing a good level of services. The personnel is professional and both the common areas and the room were clean. The room has a very basic furniture, but nothing critical was missing. Recommended only for business trips

I visited this hotel during a business trip for which the location was convenient, but getting from the hotel to the center if not done by car/taxi can be quite lengthy, so I wouldnt recommend it to anyone visiting Madrid as a tourist. The hotel itself is quite nice, with lovely rooms and still offers complimentary things like a toothbrush... which is quite nice. It also has a small gym, more than enough because if like myself found yourself alone in it in every visit. I found the staff quite nice, although a waiter in the cafe was a complete disaster. He was nice, but as a waiter he was horrible (bringing food that you didnt order, normal coke instead of diet, white wine instead of...). It gets annoying because during my visit the restaurant was closed (i downgraded it a star in my review just for that...), so this place was my go to eat place. The breakfast was not up to a 4 star hotel standards, although the orange juice was fresh. A nice touch! Overall I would recommend it if you have meetings in that area and you are there for a short visit, otherwise there are better options for similar prices.

Pros Good lounge space Good cafeteria (limited menu but tasty food) Friendly staff permitted longer extension Functional hot water and gym Cons Small room Far away from city not much to do outside The best part was the meal Duck Confit brilliant and excellently made People who don't speak English will find it difficult and vegetarian food options are minimal

Hotel some way out of the centre of Madrid. Not too much around to do. Rooms were small and my room smelt of stale smoke. Reception staff and breakfast room staff were welcoming and friendly, but bar staff in the evening were pretty surly. Won't be high on my list for a return visit.

One member of staff/concierge on the front desk, tall man, dark tight curly-ish hair, very rude to me through the entire week on different occasions. I came from London to work with an artist just around the corner and whether it was because I wasn't Spanish or local he seemed to just discarded anything I asked or said. I had to order room service nearly everyday because there were no vegetarian options apart from barbecued vegetables at dinner... extremely poor and the room service is just so over priced for the options they offer. One of the nights my room service order was an hour late so I rung reception from my room and explained the situation and the rude member of staff near enough shouted down the phone to me saying 'we don't understand you' - Now I don't want to accuse this man of being racist but he made me feel unwelcome in the hotel and he made me feel stupid, I've never met someone quite so rude. After all of this the room service arrived a few hours later and the man who delivered it said the chef would take it off my final bill, which was nice of him. On my last day I requested the bill from reception and saw that this room service had not been taken off, I told this to the rude concierge and he was just so disgusting back, telling me the chef wouldn't do that, he knows nothing about it as the chef hasn't told him so he couldn't take the money off, I then asked him to speak to the chef and he basically said the chef isn't in at the moment? Anyway 5 minutes later he rung the chef and the chef said yes it's correct there is no charge for that room service. The rude concierge didn't even apologise but just printed me a new bill. Overall he ruined my experience at this hotel, he made me feel uncomfortable and made me want to leave Madrid. Breakfast staff were lovely, very good selection of breakfast food and drink. Room was clean, but not 1 English channel on the TV, which was disappointing. The room cleaners were lovely too. Hotel is majorly over priced for what you get, I wouldn't return, there are other 4*-5* hotels nearby and I would stay there next time. I've also put that the price range is 'luxury', the hotel itself I wouldn't say luxury but the prices are fat too much for a 4*, and not a great 4* at that.
