excellent customer service - our room is clean and big - the place is 2 blocks away from Grand Via - very accessible to sites and metro - very good nightlife

Overall: I would not stay here again. Pros: -great area right of gran via close to shops and food - the bed was soft - hotel staff were pleasant and assisted us in ordering a cab to the airport when we needed it Cons: -- there is an oscillating metallic noise right outside the window that will go for all hours of the day. When we asked the front desk, they apologized and said it was the restaurant behind them and they’ve filed a noise complaint, but can’t do anything about it. We had to use a noise machine to drive out the sound. - the rooms are TINY. We could not put our luggage anywhere except the bathroom. There’s this massive king size bed that takes up the entirety of the room. The hotel put a small desk and chair at the foot of the bed that only leaves a tiny walkway. On top of it, they put massive curtains that jet out from the wall so when you stand to get out of bed, your head is in the curtains. We tried to bunch them all up and put them in the windowsill but they were so heavy. If you removed the curtains and just put pull down shades or blinds, you would easily have 6in of extra space in the room. - the hotel advertises this for two people (makes sense with the massive bed), but then gave us grief when we asked for two single use shampoos (they’re the rip and use packets, not mini bottles) saying only one packet per day. - there was little brown hairs all in the top comforter. - the air conditioner did not work.

Horrible experience with the management of this property. DO NOT STAY HERE.

I wanted to love this place- nice staff, close to everything, but wow do they need a maintenance person. The AC randomly buzzed loudly every 10 minutes keeping us up all night. We asked that someone look at it. They said they would but didn’t. So we asked for a different room. The door for that room was insanely hard to keep shut (resulting in our room being unlocked all day after the cleaning person came). The AC unit was quite the first night in this room, then made noises the rest of the night. We barely slept at all.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Walt Madrid. Parking can be a challenge in this part of the city so having a parking option right next door was very helpful. The staff was very professional and accommodating. The rooms are small but they use the space well. I would recommend this hotel for travelers who like to be close to diverse neighborhoods in the beautiful city of Madrid.

Dear Guest, We are happy that you were able to stay at the completely renovated and modern Walt Madrid. And we are sure you enjoyed our location, situated in the most central and historical area of Madrid, 2 steps from all the museums, historical sites, restaurants and great shopping. Concerning the noise you encountered which you said was caused by a nearby restaurant, we are happy that you were fortunate enough to happen to have with you had a noise machine! Very handy! It would have been better to place your luggage on the luggage rack instead. The luggage racks are located in the armoire of each and every one of our rooms, so that you may comfortable arrange and organise your clothes whilst staying with us. We are glad that you enjoyed our comfortably large beds. We pride ourselves on our literie and our cleanliness and our very kind and accommodating team. Thank you.

Dear Ms Carol. You have NEVER stayed at our hotel and your notation and words are unjust and shameful during these very difficult times worldwide. The team at The Walt Madrid is dedicated, professional and helpful and concerned for the safety of our guests.
