Spent seven nights in duplex suite with terrace and plunge pool. Room was lovely very clean the bath/shower is in the bedroom the shower is over the bath my husband and is over six feet tall showering was difficult due to the height restrictions great array of toiletries available for use the pillows were too high so had to use scatter cushions as pillows Katy the lady who looked after our well put a pillow cover on one for me when she realised I had been using one of my towels for this purpose. the terrace was lovely very spacious but I spent my time scaring off the pigeons from drinking from the plunge pool and pooping around the place. We did not have breakfast in the hotel as some many different lovely places to try within a short walking distance we did have dinner in the restaraunt which was very good. Would not recommend the room we had for an elderly person or a person with poor mobility due to the shower/bath Staff were very friendly and helpful. This room is only suitable for very sound sleepers which I am not Plaza Anna is noisy 24/7 and I mean loud used to like the Despisito song so help me God it now drives me crazy so o sick of it at any hour checked the windows several nights in the early hours thinking something must be open somewhere Madrid is a great city will return but could not wait to get home for a good night sleep my husband tried sleeping on the sofa just as noisy downstairs

Location: 5/5. Walking distance from great restaurants, bars and Plaza Major (Sandeman tours!). Staff: 5/5. We arrived after midnight and the front desk asked about tours/plans, walked us through the area and even helped me book my train ticket to Barcelona. Food: 5/5. We only stayed for breakfast which had a decent spread (fruit, cornflakes, meats etc.) Highly recommend to anyone coming to Madrid.

We really liked this hotel located in a very convenient location. We were in Madrid for just one night, so it was important to be in a place where we can move efficiently. We walked 20 minutes to the Royal Palace and 15 minutes to Reyna Sofia Museum to see Guernica. There were many restaurants nearby and little shops to buy gifts. We went to La Rollerie for breakfast as recommended by the hotel's receptionist and we loved the place. Items on the menu were inexpensive and everything we had was excellent. Our room was small but clean and comfortable. The shower was situated right in the room with a glass door with some borders for privacy. My teenage kids (a boy and a girl) were sharing a room and they took turns leaving the room to allow the other one to shower. The friendly service, the attractive interior, it's central location, friendly staff and reasonable price all made up for that. I would stay here again.

This hotel absolutely MADE my trip to Madrid. Not only is it decorated amazingly and the staff super helpful and polite, it is located right in the center of EVERYTHING. I stayed in Madrid for 2 nights and did not have to take a taxi anywhere except the airport when I was leaving. It is anywhere between 1 - 20 minutes to so many restaurants and shopping. I cannot express in words how much I absolutely loved this hotel. If I ever return to Madrid, the is the ONLY place I want to stay. Thank you so much for your hospitality and world-class service. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone I know who is going to visit Madrid :) :) :)

Picked this hotel from the hundreds of Madrid hotels on the web, and we are very glad we did! It is a 34 room 3 star, but should be rated higher. It is in an excellent location in easy walking distance to everything, provided you are reasonably mobile. I.e.: 10 min to the Prado. Right on Santa Anna square and surrounded by cafes and bars, but the room was totally quiet as well as spacious, wonderfully clean and tastefully recently refurbished. Another plus is breakfast is available from 7am which is a plus if you're an early starter as most cafes don't open till 10 or later.

We booked this based solely on the location and pics on the website. We were very happy with our decision. Very centrally located, easy to walk to all the attractions and good restaurants. The hotel is small enough to keep a boutique vibe and the rooms are very comfortable and well laid out and appointed. The staff is obviously dedicated to keeping the place up. It's spotless. Book a terrace room, it well worth the extra money. Breakfast buffet was just what we wanted. Coffee, pastries, jamon, eggs and fruit.

How this place only has 3* is beyond me as we've stayed in far worse 4 and 5s. The only drawback we can see is the lack of balcony on to the square and the fact you have to be comfortable with your room mate as the bathroom has no wall to the bedroom! Not an issue for us but could cause fuss for some? Breakfast is served in the sushi place down stairs - it's laid out rather randomly but if you are staying more than one night you soon get used to it!

This hotel was a great find, felt better than some 4/5 star hotels that I have stayed in! Really friendly staff, excellent location and the hotel itself is modern, clean and spacious. (And very arty!) We stayed in a standard room - which was anything but standard - the room was large and comfortable with a big bed. The shower was awesome! The area around the hotel has lots of restaurants, and if you go off down the side streets you can find the bars and the busier parts. This suited us well as everything was easy to get to and you are based in the centre of everything, and yet it is still a nice quieter square compared to others. We also had breakfast included, which was all the breakfast items you could want including the most delicious mini doughnuts! Without a doubt I would return to this hotel if I ever return to Madrid.

love this hotel. friendly staff. They have some excellent junior suite rooms if you are willing to pay a bit more. Some of these have terraces with a view of Plaza Santa Ana and a small bathtub sized pool and loungers.

We were in Madrid for 4 nights and of all the squares and plazas we walked through,we always felt we had made the right choice by comparison with the others. It is small to feel part of but big enough to offer a wide range of bedrooms. It was surprisingly quiet on the upper floor where we had our room with good views across Playor de Santa Ana. We choose an executive room on the 4th floor with its own terrace which was ideal for chilling prior to going out in the evening. Had we known it was going to be this good we would have gone for the terrace with the "pool" which we could see from our room,; I think this could be room 401 with great views across the square. There are great tapas bars that the hotel recommended within a 5 minute walk of the hotel. Try the Mercado San Miguel the other side of Playo Mayor. It provides so many tapas stalls to sample youbwould have wished you had gone there on your first night. A definite recommendation of great location, great building and great staff. Pablo on the front desk deserves a special mention.
