Great central location for all amenities. Our room was huge, really modern with great quirky toiletries. Huge windows overlooking the square. For only 3* accommodation, these are worthy of more without a doubt.

Perfectly located in central Madrid on the edge of one of the squares and surrounded by bars and restaurants. All Madrid has to offer is in comfortable walking distance. Rooms are modern, clean and a little quirky. Lots of choice for breakfast so worth including. Would stay again if in Madrid.

Spent a night here for a business trip. Centrally located in a quiet street, right by a square full of bars and restaurants. Very quiet room, with huge windows and big double glazing. Comfortable bed and everything you need for a city trip. Would stay here again in a heart beat!

We unfortunately only stayed for one night but it was the perfect location for us. We got a wonderful upgrade to deluxe suite - with our own terrace which was fantastic. It is very central, clean and the staff are very helpful. Gave us tips for dinner and breakfast. There is a sushi bar attached to the hotel which looked great too. We would definitely stay again

We stayed at Room Mate Alicia for 3 nights. The location is perfect, you can walk everywhere from the hotel, it is very close to Plaza Mayor. Staff were super friendly and welcoming, even providing chargers for us as we didn't have enough. Our room was a good size, comfortable and had an excellent shower, plenty of good toiletries provided. Breakfast was plentiful and varied and was served in a cute, kitsch room from 7 to 12 every morning. Would thoroughly recommend Alicia as a place to stay and look forward to returning soon.

This is a TRUE find! Just LOVED this hotel. It is in a great location (Plaza Santa Ana), and walking distance (5-10 minutes) to the Prado. There are many great restaurants and shops nearby, without feeling super touristy. The hotel has a fun, chic, hip vibe to it, from the decor, to the service at the front desk, and to the amenities offered in the room (be sure to read the "notes" left on the bed, bar and on the back of the toiletries) - very cheeky and clever! Our room was considered a "junior suite" and was probably the most spacious room I've had in a European city. There was plenty of room for 3 of us, with a large bathroom (including shower and sit down tub). And it had beautiful floor to ceiling windows, from which to enjoy the plaza below. Breakfast is available for ~10 Euros per person, in the restaurant next door to the hotel, and it is extensive - meats, cheeses, breads, eggs, fruit, cereals, coffee/tea. Definitely worth it, and the the restaurant is further extension of the chic feel. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel - and would definitely go back again!

I'd stayed in Room Mate Oscar a couple of times but fancied a change this visit. Alicia is a much nicer location right on Plaza Santa Anna with so much going on around. Room was immaculate, clean and perfect for a single night. Breakfast in the very camp Miss Sushi downstairs was fresh, sufficient and tasty if not especially fancy, but decor is enough to bring a smile to the grumpiest of faces. Would I stay again? Probably, but having stayed at 2 now, I'm sure any Room Mate would meet these very pleasing standards.

Booked here on recommendation from my mother - staff were very helpful online. Location superb - just of Plaza Sta Anna, room (exterior) was light, spacious, stylish and well appointed. Great shower (funky, in the room!), good desk space and wifi for working, and so many options close by for food. Transport was easy to access. When the hot water went off one morning, the staff were helpful and informative, and the water was back on in 15 minutes as promised, with care and apologies for any inconvenience (very minor). Just superb. I'd come back in a heartbeat.

Ok. So I am the kind of person who rarely, I mean that, RARELY, posts reviews online for many many reasons... however... this TIME, I will. The location, was unbeatable (I wanted to spend all the time I could at the Prado and other museums, and it was easy to walk everywhere and right by public transportation). The room was immaculately clean with lovely toiletries provided; the breakfast (both the lovely server and the quality and variety) unbeatable. The room was small, but having lived in New York City, I kind of expect that in big cities anyways, so no problem for me. Plus, I travel solo. And, last, but not least at all... the attentiveness, kindness, patience, professionalism, friendliness and warmth of the staff in the reception made my stay in Madrid one of my favorites after traveling for three weeks in Spain. I can possibly be described as a "pain in the neck" by guest service providers, with my insisting on asking about special places in less touristy areas... like corners, parks, spots, walks, restaurants only a local would know....I got some excellent recommendations from Pablo, a madrileño in heart and soul, who was always a joy to chat with and who greeted me on my arrival to the hotel upon arriving in Madrid: I was always greeted with a smile, excellent suggestions, interesting conversation, and a map to find my merry way, along with his patient directions. Pablo was also able to help me with some changes in my itinerary, which could have been a mess, but it was easily fixed thanks to Pablo and the very accommodating management. The entire staff, from the person who helped me out of the cab with my bags on arrival, to the last farewells I got from Helena, who supervised the breakfast buffet, and Jose at the Front Desk were amazing. I will definitely make this my top choice for my next stay in Madrid. Congrats to the entire team. You are all awesome!

We were upgraded to a duplex room with large rooftop terrace and splash pool with views over square. Fantastic location - old town, palace, galleries & gardens all easily walkable. Staff are lovely and very helpful with restaurant, bars & sightseeing recommendations. Breakfast is in small quirky restaurant - nice choice of buffet and a very relaxed help yourself affair. Would definitely stay here on my return to Madrid.
