Very bright 2 bedroom apartment, completely renovated and with a modern and minimalist design. Located in Lavapiés, one of the most emblematic neighborhoods of the city, a few minutes from the most famous streets of Madrid.

Bedroom Nº2- Very spacious, with an avant-garde and attractive design, where the element of the headboard of the bed stands out as a central detail of the space accompanied by high quality designer furniture. Large exterior window overlooking a quiet street in the neighborhood.
It has large fitted wardrobes and a double bed with viscoelastic mattress of 1.35cm very comfortable.
Bathroom- design and very bright, with heater and towel dryer, equipped with everything for a perfect stay.
You will have a pack of towels for each guest: large, medium and foot towel as well as hair dryer, shampoo, shower gel and paper. You will not have to worry about anything.
You will have access to the building through the intercom at the entrance, everything will be explained days before arrival. The building does not have an elevator but do not worry since the apartment is on the 1st floor.
The Barrio de las Letras is a central district of the city of Madrid in which some of the great literati of Spain have lived and written. Today is an area that combines literature, fun, shopping and good food.
It is easy to find houses where they lived and wrote such important figures of the Golden Age literature of Spain as Lope de Vega, Quevedo, Góngora or Cervantes. Also, on the pavement of various streets are inscriptions and small texts of the work of some of them.

Apartment was ok. Aesthetics were nice enough but didn’t have things we needed.. like paper towels, detergent for washing machine, etc. only two hangers in the closet. Great coffee shop on the corner. But the playground a block away is overrun with gangs and drug dealers. We found an article about it and then witnessed it ourselves. Neighborhood did not feel safe. Would not come back with my family.

So many light switches, so few lights.
The apartment was very nice and modern. We liked the area as there were lots of interesting restaurants and bars nearby. The apartment has lots of light switches but the lights are in very odd places. There is no lighting above the kitchen bench and so you have to put a lamp on the bench to see what you are doing.

Since there were 3 beds we were expecting 3 blankets. The property only had 2. We contacted the property manager 3+ times asking for a blanket. Instead of listening to us they kept saying the same thing "it is in the closet" Finally the day before we were checking out they confirmed there was only 2 blankets and offered to bring the third blanket. But by the time I saw the message we had already left for dinner.
Do better, listen instead of telling!

This was the base for our fantastic stay in Madrid.
The flat was just perfect, very clean and easy to access via a key app as soon as our allotted check in time had arrived.
It is in such a fantastic part of the city, very central and walking distance to most things, great atmosphere in the evening, but quiet at night.
The flat itself was very clean, very modern and all the facilities benefitted from the recent refurb.
The beds were super comfortable and the sofa bed was probably the most comfortable sofa bed I've slept on, just fantastic.
Huge thanks from our family to this host who made everything so perfect for us. I would highly recommend this location and happily use it again if we revisit this beautiful city.

Everything was good except the pull out bed from sofa was all busted up and it turned the apartment from a 6 person to a 4 person which was not ideal for a family of 6. We reached out to the host and there wasn't a fix to the matter or a response. We loved the location but there were issues. Not much privacy as curtains to the bedrooms were see-through. I'd give it a 2 out of 5 stars.

Absolutely loved this flat. Great location, really nice layout, beds were fantastic. Check In was a breeze. Place is just as described. Only tough thing was figuring out the key in the apartment door to the flat, but we figured it out.

Die Wohnung ist schön und sauber, jedoch bei weitem nicht so hell wie auf den Fotos. Ueber dem Esstisch hat es keine Beleuchtung. Es hatte auch keine Abtrocknungstücher. Wir hatten Probleme mit dem Link für das Eincheggen und die Agentur war nicht erreichbar und hat nicht zurückgerufen. Auf die Frage nach Tüchern und Licht haben wir keine Antwort erhalten. Sehr gut ist der Fahrstuhl für den Transport des Gepäcks.

Excellent location
The location of the apartment is fantastic! All sights are within walking distance! The apartment very neat and clean. Unfortunately, some items are missing. Only one single wine glass, no tea towels, etc. A window in the living area could not be opened, the front door could not be locked from the outside. The living area was very dark in the evening as there was no overhead lighting. Nevertheless, the apartment is highly recommended!
