This is a middle range hotel, they have comfortable rooms and good position in the city. Unfortunable they have the worst buffet restaurant in Madrid. Yes It is poor menu and meals were cold, I was prefere take my breakfast in another place.
Rafaelhoteles Ventas offers good value for money. It's walking distance from the famous Plaza de Toros and walking distance from a Metro station, shops and restaurants. The WiFi is good. The minibar isn't too expensive which is important if you arrive late at night as shops will be closed. Comes with all you'd expect from a 4-star hotel, bath tub, although the TV is rather small. The matress I got was rather old and uncomfortable, thus the 4 out of 5 rating. The staff are friendly, very helpful and speak English, and can help you with ideas and suggestions to get the most out of your Madrid experience. Standard check out time is at 12 pm (not 10 am as stated on some websites), you can extend till 1 pm for no extra charge if they're not too busy, and they'll store your luggage for no extra charge after that if your flight is later in the day and you wish to spend some hours going around the city.
Hreat trip Hitel close ti metro Nice resturant around Supermarket clise The room were clean and nice accomodation Friendly reception Wakeup om time for the taxi and nice taxi The kids like it very much
This used to be a charming hotel with a cosy bar and an amazing restaurant. For some strange reason they decided to close the lovely bar and the restaurant forever. That means that you are unable to enjoy a drink or to have a quiet meal in the restaurant. Instead, you have to wonder around the adjacent streets looking for a restaurant and bear in mind that most restaurants do not open before 9 pm. What a deception. I will not return.
On the outside, the hotel looks ok. The lobby looks even better, but the rooms... a big old dirty mess. From the lack of AC to the little bed that seemed like it would collapse as we slept, to the dirty stained carpet and mold smell in the room... yuck. Even the free breakfast lacked a quality feel. Everything was processed and barely warm.
The hotel location is god very close to the metro station and the rooms were very clean the staff also frindely the only thing that they don't have enough staff in time of check out you have to get your bags from the room to the reception
Little disappointed looks better in the photos, parts seem little worn, I expected basic toiletries shampoo etc, your provided with toothbrush no paste and napkins and small bar of soap, no tea coffee or even a kettle ,the room is large and clean the bathroom is a good size if a little old fashioned, maid service if you stay more than one night is poor with used glasses left in our room and not cleaned I had to ask reception for Wi-Fi key and unless you pay extra for this its poor at best, We had a side room as the main road is very busy and noisy, if you want to be near the centre then this hotel is not for you. its 20 mins when not busy and the tube station is out of service till September, the buses do run frequently I would suggest you buy a €10 pass youll soon use it Breakfast has a good selection but staff speak little English and aren't interested if you try to ask any questions
Everuything was good. The only negative thing is abcence of a kettle. The staff at reservation was teaaly helpful. Very near to the El Carmen metro station. Strongly recommended to other travellers...
Convenient location but poor service and attention to guests. The room is OK and clean but amenities are poor. For what you pay you expect a better service which is not the case. the breakfast is very poor in variety and quality.
An excellent hotel away from the main city centre, but less than a hundred metres from the Metro and then 10 minutes to the city centre. 5 minutes walk to the Bullring which is an interesting place to visit. The hotel does have underground secure parking, but not free. Friendly and very helpful staff. The rooms are a good size and very comfortable and tastefully decorated with comfortable beds. We had a good breakfast in their dining room. They do not do evening meals, but there is a good selection of reasonably priced restaurants within a 4-5 minute walk, all serving excellent food. will definitely stay here again on a return visit to this vibrant and interesting city.
