The room was adequate but tea making facility was not, only had one cup between two people and one small milk! The hair dryer only worked for a few minutes before it cut out one it got too hot so it took some time to dry my hair. The bar and kitchen do not operate on Sundays and Mondays!!! As we were there for New Year we could not get a drink or room service!! How can a hotel not operate a bar/room service 7 days a week. In our 11 years of going away for New Year this is the first time we have found this situation.
Good centrally located hotel with a nice bar and breakfast area. Rooms were fine, if a little small, and perfectly clean. Staff okay, wasn’t able to get a coffee at all on the Sunday - told “the bar wasn’t open” - does the bar need to be open for a coffee? Minor issue but the staff generally didn’t seem that bothered and weren’t what I would describe as friendly. Still, at the rate and given the location, I’d consider returning. Thanks.
No1: The reservation was made 2 months ago and we asked for double bed. The result was tha we got 2 single beds No2: The trash bin in the bathroom was full when we entered the room and smelled really bad. No3: We stayed 3 nights and although we asked for new towels they didn't do so. No4: The 2 beds were able to move easily because floor was too slippy. No5 :Not that good sound seperation. Good facts : Very good view and very good breakfast :)
My sister and I stayed here for 4 nights, location wise it’s great. 25min walk to the busy centre and about a 30 minute drive from the airport. There is also a lovely bakery next door that is super resonable so use this for breakfast! Room - good size definitely workable for 2 people. However it’s some of the finishing that bothered me, . The hand rail in the bathroom was very loose, marks on the wall and black mould in the bathroom. They also only gave us one cup to drink hot drinks from? Services - not super warm but pleasant. We ordered room service one night and it’s was good value for money but the menu was very limited and the food mediocre. We ordered it Friday night and when we left Sunday they still hadn’t cleared it away. They also didn’t replace the shower gel in the bathroom despite my sister putting the empty in the bin? Also should mention there is no secruity and you can just walk in and out. One night 2 Homeless men were sleeping on the bench outside the main doors. Overall the location is great but it really needs some finishing touches
Stopped here for four nights with a group of friends visiting Madrid. We wanted somewhere that was reasonably central but not too expensive. The Location is fantastic, about a 15min walk to the city centre or you can get the Metro which is a 2min walk. The rooms are clean and modern but a little bit on the small side. The staff on duty were great, spoke great English and were very helpful in guiding us around the city.Had some lovely cocktails in the bar( Happy Hour 6 till 8).Didnt try the breakfast but it looked nice.Would happily use the same Hotel again if visiting Madrid 👍👍
room was lovely plenty of room, coffee an water not replaced when used. Shower an batroom clean fresh towls each day.Bar no good not even a residence bar.hotel was great. 10 euro taxi into centre r 30min walk...
This hotel is nice but nothing spectacular. Staff are friendly and surroundings are well laid out. However there is nothing here that makes the Leonardo anything other than a decent pit stop. Room is nicely decorated but noisy due to the main road outside. Walls are thin so quite a bit of neighbour disturbance. I havent eaten here so cant comment on the food but there is a small cafe la flor up the road who does an amazing beer and likes to feed his customers with spanish omelette and chorizo so is worth a visit. In fact if I come to this hotel again. It will be to have a drink and a snack here.
We have just spent the weekend in beautiful Madrid and stayed at the Leonardo city centre. It was an ideal base for our trip. Comfortable bed, clean sheets and a good shower. The rooms are a good size not very well insulated but comfortable non the less and earplugs have been invaluable. We didn’t want frills we just wanted somewhere clean and comfortable too sleep and the Leonardo fitted the bill. 5 minutes walk too San Barnardo metro which opens up Madrid too you.
The rooms were newly renovated, very clean and spacious. It definitely had some better view when you compare with other hotels in Europe, (mostly blocked with next building) which gives you more open space. Plus, very close to the metro. Just one small thing, wished the staffs were a little more friendly. Would love to see them smile a little more! ;)
booked this at the last minute for a short two night stay and it was only €48 per night so I wasn't expecting a whole lot but it was near the venue I was attending so it was all about location. I was travelling on my own and I got a single room. The foyer was lovely and very relaxing so I was pleasantly surprised on arrival. My room, though small was lovely and it had coffee making facilities which I love. The bathroom was lovelyand the air conditioning was good. The guys on reception spoke good English and were so helpful
