A very nice hotel in a very elegant street, just a few steps away from most important restaurants and shops in Calle Serrano. Breakfast included with international and local foods. A nice stop in the city!
Very nice hotel ina good neighborhood.Room are big enough, newly furnished bed are very comfortable.Salamanca area are quite, but have a very nice restaurant and bars. Hotel is close to metro station and needs 10 minutes to center. Retiro park is very close and it is a nice walkway from hotel. Definitely recommend this hotel.
I generally don't like leaving poor reviews because it can impact the business of a hotel. In this case I must though. The hotel says it is a 4 stars but if feels more like a 3 star. Everything is a bit off. Arrival was late - person at the reception was nice and efficient. I wanted some water and the bar was pretty dismal - with the light turned off in the sitting area. I was in room 207 - it was clean but it was incredibly small. When I entered the room it was quite warm - I turned on the air conditioning but had to turn it off because of a nauseating smell of putrid water. The bed was very hard and very uncomfortable, with a Neon as a reading light. the cover was an old blanket from the 80's or so. The room was incredibly noisy, the door flimsy and you could hear any other door opening and closing and people walking and talking. The lift is very noisy and it would wake me up everytime is stopped on the 2d floor. This morning I was woken up when my neighbors showered. It sounded like they were in my room. I could hear them peeing, showering, and coughing. A very short night in a hard bed. 102 euros, breakfast not included. You can do much much better for a little more in other hotels Oh, and I have been sitting in the cafe / restaurant area for the last 30 minutes working and the breakfast waiter has not asked me once if I wanted something to drink.
This hotel is situated in the heart of Barrio de Salamanca, Madrid with a number of luxury shops , including Corte Ingles, and restaurants, café shops and tapas bars nearby. You can enjoy a really nice walk around. Overall and although the stay was just for one night, the experience was really good. Quick check in and check out , good sized room and a double bed to go with. Clean and big bathroom, a nice veranda and fantastic and helpful service from the people in the Reception desk. Wake up call was done on the time agreed, taxi (ordered from the reception) was there even slightly earlier (05:00 in the morning) and no complaints at all. Suggestions for improvement? I guess the TV at the room could be updated so to include the option for English language (it is common in Spain that all programs are in Spanish) and the channel list can be a bit bigger. The hotel do not really offer food by room service but instead the visitor (with the assistance of the hotel) can order Telepizza ; this did not bother me really considering that I have seen and experienced the same in a number of hotels in Spain. I guess it’s easier and costs less .
Good location in Barrio de Salamanca and nice service. Rooms are cheap but way too small and tired for a 4 stars hotel. I got an interior room that made the experience even more depressing. Next time in Madrid I will look for a better alternative.
Comfortable room- and the hotel is located in a very good / fashionable neighborhood. The desk agents were all very helpful but one agent during the day shift, A'LVARO really went the extra mile helping my nephew and I in English at every turn as though he genuinely enjoyed his job. And his recommend (and close) restaurant "Lateral" for tapas was fantastic! I will always stay here in any future visits to Madrid.
- This was my first trip to Madrid. The concierge were friendly and were accommodating. The room was by far the biggest we had during our trip to Europe. The room was very clean. It was close to bus stops, metro and shopping. Limited BF.
I usually stay at this hotels on my frecuent business and leisure trips. The location is amazing, next to Castellana and Serrano, close to all services and a 15 minute walk to the Retiro park. The rooms have been renovated and are well appointed, no luxury details here, but nice equipment (I would add some extra pillows on the beds, but that is a personal choice). Breakfast area has just been renovated and the buffet is not large but stocked with all the basics for a nice breakfasts. Rates are extremely competitive given the location. Also good for a family stay as you can use the extra sofa bed in the junior suites.
Excellent location, decent breakfast and a good room. Should be 3 starts instead of 4 but its a good value for the price. Clean, nice bed, nice shower, excellent towels. Would come back. The location is quite good, on the Salamanca neighborhood. There's a small shopping mall right besides the hotel, a nice supermarket and a very good Japanese restaurant right next door. And the hotel is 5 steps from the Serrano avenue where all the big brands are present.
This was my first trip to Madrid. The concierge (regardless of who was at the front desk) were friendly and were accommodating. The room was by far the biggest we had during our trip to Europe. The room was very clean. I didn't like our view but that didn't matter. It was close to bus stops and shopping. The buffet had a great selection of food.
