The hotel consists of two buildings right next to each other. The first night I was placed on the 4th floor of the adjacent building and my first impression was terrible: dirty walls and carpet in the hallways, dark room with no natural light, outdated room. The adjacent building has not direct connection to the reception and breakfast room so you have to go outside and enter through the main building. This adjacent building needs some serious upgrade and in its current state does not correspond to 4**** quality. I asked to be moved to the main building for the remaining two nights. The main building has been updated more recently and I was quite satisfied with my room on the first floor.

Our room was in an adjacent tower. The bathroom was quite neglected, some mold on the tiles and the ceiling tiles were gaping. I could not adjust the temperature because the thermostat was very old. I would stay at this hotel again however, because of the convenient location.

Hotel staff were kind and friendly. Hotel was old but clean and very central. Metro was in a walking distance.

We spent 3 nights in this hotel and our experience was amazing...nice room, excellent service, and great location with walking distance to the Subway and major attractions

I arrived late and checked out the next day (it was for my return flight from Madrid). I would suggest staying there for longer periods.

The hotel is comfortable with a great location to the central area. Would stay here again for the price service and location.

The reservation see free breakfas and in the checkout put 7€ fee of breakfast.

I went to Madrid for Christmas in 2013, had a nice stay at the colosso Hotel. Staff was nice to us, great location, close to Grand Via, the central area, just around the corner you can get at 2 train stations, san domingos and plaza espana. Walking distance to turist attractions. I recomend.

Room was great. Much larger than the other place I stayed in Madrid, and fancier too. There was nothing to complain about. The room cleanliness is only a 3 because I found two dirty glasses in the room, but the previous occupant had hidden them in the mini fridge and on the floor behind the curtain (that one was used by them as an ashtray), so I don't blame the staff for missing them.

I had an 18 hour layover in Madrid, so booked a room at the Exe Coloso so I didn't have to sleep in the airport. The hotel is in the heart of Madrid and near numerous shops and sites. It was very easy to get to the hotel using the Metro (take the 8 line until you get to Nuevos Minesterios then get off and get on the 10 line south and get off at Plaza de Espana). It was about a 15 minute walk from there and there is a huge sign showing the name of the hotel. The price was great for the quality of the room. The room was very modern and clean, although I would not recommend that you opt for the breakfast as you can get a cheaper meal at one of the many restaurants and diners around the hotel. The afternoon reception staff could have been more polite, but we were taken care of very quickly. I would definitely come back if I ever come back.

Good: very good location, confortable. Bad: all the staff was nice but one of them wasnt with us. The room was clean. But one day there was a cup, glass replaced that was dirty. Besides this two small details I recommend this hotel, had a good time there. Oh and the breakfest is very good!!

Had a lovely stay here. Fun area to see different parts of the city, and not too far from the main station. The beds were very firm, which was slightly uncomfortable, but that may just be a personal preference. Overall my stay was fine, but I'm not sure I would count this a 4-star hotel. The internet also was very spotty, so if you rely on that, just brace yourself - doesn't work well In the rooms.

First hotel where you go through a maze to get to your room. Great breakfast buffet. Helpfull staff. Very close to the Gran Via amd the Paseo Del Prado, Royal Palace in walking distance as well as Puerta del Sol for souvenirs shoppimg and restaurants.

The hotel is centrally located, close to Metro (Plaza de Espana), hop on/off bus; shops & restaurants. The staff was very friendly (thank you, Alberto and Juan Carlos). The rooms were big and comfortable. Each bed could accommodate 2 people each (if slim), so 4 people could stay in a room. Our rooms faced the street and it was quiet between 1a - 6:30a; otherwise a little noisy. The windows opened which was nice, but the shades did not pull down so you could see the people across the street in their apts, not to mention the beaming sun light in the am.

Perfect location nice staff easy to go to the center city Friendly. And comfortable

if you really need to stay connected to the internet and use the wifi them don't choose this hotel the wifi signal is only good and lobby to the rooms is very poor so think twice old installations but good located close to everything

This hotel was a standard European economy hotel. The room did seem cramped for two people, but it was inexpensive and about 1 km from the royal palace in Madrid and a block in each direction from a subway stop. It is also a short walk from the hotel to Plaza del Sol through the shops. It was a good value for budget travelers to be near where we wanted to be.

very well located, is very good for what you ppaid

We got this hotel for our first night in Madrid. We were very pleased with value and cleanliness. Close enough to evrything, only problem was we had to get another hotel as they were filled for the next night, our mistake not theirs.

Be aware: 1- The only have 14 parking spaces and they are always full, they will request to go to a public parking to pay over 20 euros / night. 2- Even was autumm and temperature was cool, some hours of the day, I want air conditioning but they disconect the on/off switch of the A/C. 3- Breakfast was very good.
