I stayed with 7 colleagues as this was close to our offices. The staff all speak beautiful English even though I was using French. Very efficient and calm. The bar team were lovely and able to knowledgeably talk about their wines. Room was simple comfortable and had everything I needed as a business person. Good wifi in my room but one of my colleagues was complaining about this in his room. Free bottle of water in the mini bar so it was lovely and cold. Very very quiet room. I liked that I had control of the aircon temp as I like it on the chilly side.
Reception staff require serious customer service training! Apps and IT improvements will not replace professional welcome and people skills! accommodating simple guests requests for additional blankets and pillows! Don't bother putting in your requests for additional bedding online as no one reads those messages! Emails simply do not get answered. Poor performance Novotel! Newsflash you are in hospitality business! . Customer service should be your primary deliverable and on this occasion the hotel fell short on the key differentiator for your hotel. Front staff should learn from your restaurant staff as their customer service was impeccable!!!
The hotel is located by the main road approaching Lyon from the North. As such, it is a very practical spot to pop in for a meal or a snack. The lunch deal, at 14€ for a main course and a 'café gourmand' (coffee with a selection of dessert bites) is reasonably-priced - my salmon 'ravioles' were very tasty, and the portion sizes were nice and filling. The waiting staff made an effort to speak English, and the pool-side terrace was a cool, peaceful place to eat. I shall definitely return to try more. Thanks very much!
This is a regular stopover for me and, as usual, I had a very good stay. All the staff were very professional, helpful and welcoming. The food and service in the restaurant and bar were excellent. Room was clean and comfortable.
We booked this on our way to the Alps. There's nothing great about it. The room was fine, but the toilet was quite smelly - as if it hadn't been properly cleaned after someone had an accident in there. That wasn't very nice. Otherwise, it was a hotel room.
We choose this hotel for a stop on our way to the Provence. The hotel is clean, modern although a bit worn out and has nice rooms with a well equipped bathroom. There is a water boiler available. We had lunch in the restaurant and we're pleased with the quality. In our opinion the waiters were apprentices, but they tried their best and everybody has to learn. However, with a more or less fully booked hotel, you have to make sure breakfast is run smoothly, which was not the case : coffeemachines were constantly out of either coffee or milk, if there was bread there was no cheese or vice versa etc. To say that breakfast was not the peaceful beginning of the day, is an understatement.
Check in was swift and easy with the front desk being friendly and helpful with queries. Once again booking was incomplete but providing my copy of the booking resolved any confusion. The foyer is smallish with the bar linked to it. There is a games table in the seating area. The room is medium in size. Think i got the basic room which is poor. Usual novotel decor and furniture with chippaper on the walls. Bed is big and comfortable but lacking pillows to the size of the bed. View from the room was decent. Also the usual toilet separate from the bathroom conundrum exists. The bath is weird. The curtain goes in a circle in the middle of the bath! And the shower head holder doesn't work! It is at such a poor angle you struggle to get your head under it. Basic and limited toiletries in the bathroom. Nice thick towels though. The restaurant is nice but understaffed at the time of the visit so plenty of waiting for orders being taken and food being delivered if the restaurant is full. Food items were pricey for what they were! Breakfast was usual but again found the options somewhat limited. This was meant to be at a preferential rate yet still quite expensive i think. Maybe if i had a better room my opinion would be different but i Think i will look for a hotel closer to the centre next time.
Great welcome and Great stay. The reception staff were very welcome and helpful. The Room that was allocated was spacious and was very comfortable. We had the evening meal and it was of good quality and well priced
Stayed for brief overnight stop en route to family skiing holiday in Les Menuires. We have been regular customers of Novotel and this hotel was as good as, if not better, than their normal high standard. Very conveniently located by the Autoroute (but no prizes for the attractiveness of the area), secure car park, very friendly staff, quick check in, good restaurant food (though expensive), room clean and comfortable, excellent early breakfast before early departure. Just what we wanted
Another excellent stay at Dardilly. As usual, we enjoyed very good food and wine in the restaurant and some nice drinks in the bar. Hotel was busy but staff were friendly and professional. All in all, highly recommended.
