Just had a great stay at this wonderful hotel. From the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out, the friendly service amazed us. All hotels could learn something from this establishment when it comes to efficient and smart hospitality. The hotel is located on the edge of a beautiful park that is quiet and full of trees and songbirds. There is also a Casino next door if you want to take part in some gambling fun. We actually had our dinner at the Casino as the Hotel restaurant was fully booked. However, we did take breakfast there the next morning and it was great. We were able to get a great price for our room thus our stay. The room was spacious and we had a balcony to enjoy our morning on. Room 23 was great. Please enjoy your stay. We sure did. Thank you Pavillon de l Rotonde!

I stay there on monthly base for job. Top small luxury hotel. Top service. Top rooms. In my opinion the best rooms hotelcyou can find in all the region People working there are very kind and professional
We stayed overnight at the hotel on the way to Nice and regretted that we diden't have more nights when we saw this fantastic location, large room with balcony to the four and had an amazing night on the michelin restaurant. Thank you Pavillion de la Rotonde.
Second time we have visited this hotel and we love it. Art deco building refurbished in a modern style that relates to its origins. It's luxurious, glamorous yet discreet. The rooms are large and very comfortable. The spa is lovely with lots of loungers with a view of the garden. The staff are very obliging always keen to help make our stay special. Dinner in the Michelin starred restaurant was sublime. Will definitely return again.
The arrival was well handled and we were made to feel very welcome by the excellent Staff. We were only staying one night as a stop-over on route to the South. The room was on the first floor and really could not be faulted in respect of size, cleanliness, facilities, bathroom, linen, bed size etc. A real 5 star room. The staff had even provided two water bowls for our two dogs, laid out on crisp white place mats ! As we had the dogs, we thought it prudent to have room service rather than go to the Restaurant with a Labrador and a Shih tzu. We ordered the meals and had visions of the food arriving on a wheeled table with drop down side leaves and a heated compartment below. No such luck ! The food arrived on a tray and was served on the coffee table. The Main courses were quite cold so we ate those first, then ate the starters ! One could not critcsise the quality of the food or presentation but it was luke warm and not really a good experience. After dinner, we took the dogs out for a walk in the rain, then decided to have a nightcap drink in the Bar. I requested a Cognac which is not an un reasonable request in France. After a lot of searching, the Barman confessed that they had none, so I said that I would have an Armangnac (spelling) or a Calvados as an alternative. After much more searching and bottle clinking under the counter of the Bar, the Barman again said that they didn't have any Brandy of any description. The Barman did offer an Eau de Vie which was pretty rough firewater but I managed to drink about half of it ! We had a great sleep and so did the dogs. Our Bed was 180 cm or more and very comfortable. The light switches in the room are a bit confusing and it seemed to take forever to turn all of the lights off. It took even longer in the morning to turn them back on again. We took Breakfast in the room and once again it was served on a tray on the coffee table. All in all a 4 star plus Hotel, but falling short of the 'Polish' to warrant a full 5 Stars. Would we return ? Yes but I would take a hip flask of Cognac and a Microwave ! My final comment is that € 60.00 was a bit of a steep supliment for the dogs.
This is a leafy and stylish alternative to central Lyon (8 km). Le Pavillon is a recently built hotel and has all the luxuries: amenities include a generous spa, well proportioned rooms with all mod cons embellished by a welcoming staff, valet parking and an unusually (for France) comprehensive breakfast in a room (no doubt one of France's loveliest) that makes you feel you're picnicking in the neighbouring forest. The hotel is also adjacent to a casino and one of the country's top restaurants (La Rotonde - see separate review). Two further boni: an own tram station with connections to downtown Lyon and, for guests with dogs and/or a yearn for personal fitness, a vast exercise area next to the hotel - the Domaine Lacroix Laval. Why not the full five points? Price - it's not exactly cheap. And the bathroom has a couple of curious design features including a make up mirror placed in the darkest part of the room (and far away from a light source) and the lack of conveniently placed plugs for hair dryers, toothbrushes etc. Viator ed cani Coloniae
Stayed here for four nights in a junior suite. Excellent service from engaging staff. Beautiful room and en suite with designer toiletries, coffee machine and extra large comfortable bed. The Hotel is in a beautiful setting just outside the small town of Charbonnieres-Les-Bains which was a spa. The hotel occupies the site of the former spa. A casino is also on the site although you don't hear any noise from it. Swimming pool, sauna and steam room are located beside the hotel spa where a full range of treatments are available. Very handy for visits to Lyon as the hotel has its own stop with journey to the centre of Lyon only 20 minutes away. Certainly would return if we were travelling to this area again.
This spa hotel surprised us positively which happens very rarely. I would have rated this getaway place with 6 stars if it would be possible,- and I do not know where to start.... Excellent reception by the friendliest staff we have ever met,- very clean and tasteful ambiente and style,- excquisite room with balcony,- very large and exclusive rooms,- bathroom is great! If you do not enjoy this place its not the hotel / staff to blaim thats for sure! Kids enjoyed the pool area and the michelin star food! Outstanding,- thank you all for making our stay the best surprise ever!
That is a nice one! I stayed there the 30.06 - 01.07 and it was a 99% pleasure. The welcome, the room, the hotel, the surronding, the services, very very good. I slept there like a baby. The breakfast could offer more, but who cares? I hope I can be in Lyon again very soon!
