Novotel Lyon Confluence

The hotel is near some attractions in the up-and-coming part of town… but if your room is not with view on the river, then it is likely to be on the commercial center… not so nice, but that's not the problem: the problem is the ventilation system of the commercial center. Insulation from the sound in other rooms is better than from the sound outside! And so you end up having to sleep as if next to the blades of a plane about to take off. It's ridiculous for such an hotel, a huge disappointment and of course it ruins the rest of the otherwise perfectly acceptable experience. Seriously not worth the money: prefer the "Mercure Lyon Centre Beaux Arts" for a much better value/price ratio.

This Hotel is very accessible with good parking, rooms are modern, spacious and very well appointed with whatever might be needed for business. Restaurant was good for breakfast buffet and the staff at the desk were very pleasant and especially helpful. The hotel and rooms were very clean and well maintained. Definitely recommend this location and will definitely stay there again

I love Novotel - I think they're such a great option for city breaks. Firstly their shower was so nice - great pressure and huge shower head. Plus they had this glass that could change from transparent to opaque that I was obsessed with. Comfy bed and nice size room. Staff were lovely and offered us a complimentary drink voucher (we had a lovely red wine). Also really easy to get around Lyon from this hotel using either tram or the Lyon Confluence boat (pro-tip: go for the first boat of the morning as it will be empty = best views & quiet). It gets busier later on. Also it is located in/next to a shopping centre so easy to pick things or grab a quick bite if you're hungry. The best thing to do in my opinion is to walk from the hotel to the Musee des Confluences - which was AMAZING. Plus the walk is lovely and at night there are cool boat bars. Highly recommend.

The Confluence Hotel is connected to a nice mall with access to public transportation and walking paths to other parts of the city. I arrived quite early and was given a room right away. The room was stylish, very clean and very quiet. The area around the hotel is quite modern with some really intersting and beautiful architecture. The mall is very nice and has a supermarket and Lyon visitor's center. Initially I thought I was a bit away from the attractions but with easy and cheap transportation right next door, the superior quality of the hotel and lovely setting, makes this property a great choice in Lyon. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

Our room was very good, bed comfortable, lovely view over the river, excellent bathroom and all good facilities required. The terrace overlooking the river is a great place for an evening drink and the restaurant serves very good food. we needed secure parking and the hotel has this underground. Access to the hotel off the AutoRoute is easy, as is returning to it for the onward journey.

With an excellent location on the edge of the heart of Lyon, and near the Autoroute to the south, the new and modern Novotel Confluence is an ideal place to break a journey, or simply use to visit Lyon. Having lived in Lyon for several years a decade ago I am thrilled to see the development of what was once a part of the city to avoid, into what is now a bright, modern area for shopping, strolling and enjoying the river reviews (two rivers!). And the tram into the heart of the city is right there waiting to take you to a fabulous city (I didi say I lived there, and I still miss it...) The hotel is is characterised by a team of young, bright and friendly staff who work diligently to make your stay an enjoyable one. Even if the lift did smell of sewers the first time we stayed, it didi not spoil our visit and was fine when we returned a week later

We stayed a night at superior river view double room. Room: Clean, modern and good size. I loved the Bluetooth speaker in the room so I could play my favourite music from my cell phone. View: Good river view. Breakfast: good Continental breakfast Carpark: underground secure carpark (fee included in our rate) Water shuttle: Good. To and from the old town costs EUR2 one way (half hour). Service: good and helpful, especially the female receptionists. Location: Above a big shopping mall. 30min walk to and from the old town. The rate of this hotel is very reasonable. I highly recommend this hotel to travellers, especially couples.

Clean and comfortable hotel within a new and still developing area of the city which provides plenty of outdoor charging around space for the little ones and great riverside walking as well as great views across the Saone. Our one night stay was the closing leg of a trip around Drome and with a 10pm flight back to Ringway we were delighted that we were afforded a late check out of 4pm at no extra cost. This wasn't the only good news we rec'd whilst checking in, we'd be given two adjoining rooms as opposed to one family room. Located next to a brand new shopping centre, the second floor (and subsequently the rest of the complex) of which can be accessed via the hotel's large balcony which accompanied the restaurant and bar. The only room for improvement noted was the breakfast buffet which, although had an adequate range of options, was crammed into far too small a space.

Great location for shopping. Boat navette right next to the door for 2 EURO brings you to old city. Rooms are clean and well equipped. Calm neighbourhood, not noisy at all. Breakfast Buffet is delicious and copious! Friendly and professional Staff.

Not much to say really excellent all round, rooms very swish and well appointed and modern. We did not try the food though except for breakfast which was good. Its right near a nice modern shopping area and a short boat ride into the old town. Ver reasonable room rate.
