Old and small hotel in good location. Rooms are tiny, only just enough room to put down two suit cases and still be able to move around the room. Clean Small but functional bathroom Friendly staff / extremely helpful Close to some good restaurants Close to train station Great transit hotel

An hotel with old history but nice and cozy. Near to Lyon Perrache Station and easy to find. The bathroom is a bit small but works nicely, a good place to sleep over night if you plan to visit Lyon in few days trip.

Despite being only two-stars, this hotel was clean, comfortable, well located and had a very friendly reception and staff. It's located right next to the train/bus/metro station, which means day trips to other cities is a breeze, as well as getting around on public transport. It's also interestingly located between the old and new city, so you can spend your morning exploring the old town, head back to your room for a break and then go to see the contemporary architectural developments (thanks to the reception staff for all those tips!) The room and shower were very small, and my room was on the sixth floor so getting up there from the rather slow elevator was a bit tedious. It also didn't have a closet, but if you're just staying for a few days it's not an issue. Considering how good it is compared to the price, it's an excellent deal. I really enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend it.

Being located just in the city center it is excellent for budget travelers needing to stay few days in Lyon, combining business with tourism. Although under renovation at the time I stayed in, was functional. Breakfast frugal.

For a 2 star hotel, this is more than expected. Fast WiFi, clean towels, clean, and excellent service. For more than one night, I would need closets for clothes, boiler in the room for coffee or te, and more space in the bathroom. Breakfast is plain, but sufficient, and coffee is good.

The hotel is great! Everything was like it should be-nice breakfast, clean room, friendly staff and comfortable beds! The WiFi worked and it was really silent although the train station was very close. We would choose this hotel definitly again.

Great location for those who arrive or depart from Gare Lyon Perrache. The room was comfortable and clean but the bathroom is small. The staff is efficient: some are natural friendly others put that “fake plastic smile” that displease people like me. In general, I liked the stay and going back to Lyon I would repeat the hotel. Enjoy!

Incredibly lovely staff, comfortable beds in very clean and modern rooms (single ones might be very tiny but they are still really cosy with big single beds) and excellent value for money (especially if travelling solo). Great location - between Perrache train and tube station and fabulous traditional Brasserie Georges.

Had a very enjoyable 2 night stay in this hotel. The rooms are a little dark and the bathroom is very small (similar to what you would find in a caravan) but all very clean and refreshed each day (shame there was only 2 coathangers in the room). The decor of the hotel is modern, but the staircase needs an uplift and the lift is very small. The staff were all very friendly & helpful. The location is great near to the train & metro stations, or just a short walk into the city. I wouldn't recommend having the breakfast, 8€ and not a lot of choice. Ask the staff about parking in the train station car park, only 16€ for 24 hours, a lot cheaper than street parking. The only real problem was that there wasn't any, air con and it was red hot so we had the fan on all night, but not a good help as just blowing warm air around the room. Very good value for money, and more than a 2 star. Would recommend & stay here again if I was visiting Lyon.

Some of the previous reviews are a little harsh on this quirky hotel. Yes the bathrooms are very small and yes the hallways need modernising, but its a great little hotel for the price and the staff are very very welcoming and helpfull. Stayed here 4 nights its really close to metro and walking distance to bars, shops etc . Our room was a little dark in decor but it was cleaned every day. The breakfast is ok and in my opinion would be much better if it was continental instead of just typical French breakfast. Would stay here afain if visiting Lyon.
