Never stay at this hotel because of terrible service! Their services are horrible. Receptionists will never do what you ask them to do! I left my business card for Paul Auster who arrived from USA for Pen Congress and that card has never been delivered to him !!
A typical "Intourist hotel" from the 1970-ies which has been totally renovated. Surprisingly good and very cheap (I paid ca 75 euro per night, breakfast included). Good rooms. Location of the hotel a bit far from the Centre (15-20 minutes walk). Not the hotel I would choose if I travelled alone or in a very small company (I would then pick one if the many small hotels in the absolute centre of Lviv) but a very good hotel for slightly bigger groups. Professional and friendly staff.
Our company organized an international conference in August. The administration took into account all our wishes, including the design of the conference hall, the menu of lunches, coffee breaks and many other details. Thank you for your openness and willingness to meet the requirements of your clients. Great job!
The hotel Dnister lies just off the centre of Lviv and is fronted by the beautiful Ivano-Franske park. This is my third visit to this very good hotel, part of the Premier chain, in a nice location and very Western in nature. Non-Russian/Ukrainian visitors will appreciate it very much. Rooms are of good quality and the hotel has undergone some restoration in recent months to upgrade rooms (this is still going on somewhat but I experienced no noise worth mentioning). There is ample parking if you arrive by car and there is security in evidence all over the hotel which may seem unusual but it is routine and you need not be worried about anything. If you arrive by plane, there is a hotel transfer service (by request) but taxis are cheaper. English is widely spoken from the reception staff to the restaurant staff and even some of the cleaning staff. The buffet breakfast is wholesome and substantial. You won't go hungry! For dinner, the menu is varied and prices are good by Ukraine standards. The quality is good too. Extensive room service is available and generally this is a high quality hotel with good standards, typical of what westerners would expect. Be prepared, however, to pay for your room in advance. This seems to be just a Ukrainian thing as most everywhere else, fees are usually taken in the day you check out. I was asked to wait after check out, for a few minutes which was a bit strange but there were no issues and I went on my way. From the hotel, you can walk into Lviv centre in about 12 minutes, passing through the lovely Ivano-Franske park along the way. The city is noted for both its beer and chocolate production and you should take the opportunity to visit the places where you can see beer and chocolate being prepared. Prices at the Dnister vary from season to season. I stayed in a quality double room in August for £65 per night including breakfast. I also stayed in winter for the same deal around £38. Very good value for a quality hotel. Highly recommended!
My son and I have been staying at this hotel for years when we are in Lviv. The staff is incredible. Always smiling, kind, and willing to help in any situation. The registration process is swift and seamless. Housekeeping is excellent and the ladies willingly provide any additional items that are needed in the room. The laundry service is superb! Everything is folded nicely and brought to the room quite quickly. The reservation process is quick and easy. The administration of the hotel goes above and beyond the call of duty to aid and assist guests. Smoking is allowed but only on the terrace. We do not feel like guests - we feel like family here. We absolutely love this hotel and highly recommend staying here!
Customer service was good . Room was ok, nothing special but clean . Customer service was good too. The sauna room was really nice & cozy ;they also set up warm tea for us. The borscht there is the best borscht that I have tried in Ukraine. Room service was on point each time, the sandwiches and fries from room service were delicious. Perogies were ok, not much taste and the outter edges was undercooked. The borscht makes up for that though. I would recommend this hotel, it is pricier but we were happy with our stay. Breakfast was included also, which had a large variety of food
A great view of Lviv and Ivan Franko park below. Pricey and very slow service - not a place to go if you are in a rush. To be fair there was a large legal conference next door. The menu was not extensive and if you want a cocktail this is not the place either.
This is a very good hotel which took its best Soviet heritage and transformed it into a decent modern place to stay. Those looking for fancy places should find a different option. But i gladly give it Tripadvisor's 5 stars for attitude, and attempt to be better. An old city hotel, great location, friendly and very young team, tasty breakfast and excellent mattress for a good sleep, which is very important. All essentials are very clean! While some deep cleaning would be advisable for drawers, doors, windows. We enjoyed our stay there! Thank you!
This is a pretty standard class of Ukrainian hotel built perhaps in the 1980s or before. They keep it pretty clean, but it has that old soulless feel about it that is pretty incongruous with Lviv as a city. It is what you would expect from a basic box hotel built some years past: no restaurant of note at the hotel itself, but a couple good ones near by. The location is in front of Lviv's main park, quite a long walk from the main city center through the park, about 700 meters one way. Walking back to the hotel through the park is quite an uphill, which is not really what you want at the end of your day. We got a suite, which was okay except both the furniture and the bed feel as if they're 30+ years old. The best part of our room was the view over the park. There were some odd experiences. We had room service a couple of times, and then the third time they said we had to pay in cash at 1am. We came back two days in a row to someone cleaning the room at 6pm. These are small things, but given the forgetful atmosphere of the place, they added to the overall drab impression.
Me and my girlfriend went for the weekend in October I think to Lviv and we stayed in this amazing hotel we asked for the 8th floor with a view of the park and they gave us what we wanted, the food in the morning was great and did not cost anymore then the hotel. I highly recommend stay here
