Check-in took too long, requested extra bed was not arranged so had to wait around 30 mins. Breakfast was lacking & staff not attentive. A/C worked well and powerful (hot) shower but no soap or other amenities provided. Pool closed for refurb (not mentioned before). Noise from adjoining bar. Reception did find us a good taxi for trip out to Kalima reptile park and back to airport.

We enjoyed our family room at the Mapalo Lodge. The staff took care of all our requests promptly, bringing us extra pillows and blankets. We also enjoyed the breakfast and the pork chops for dinner are highly recommended!

Lusaka is a laid back low-rise walkable city.

The property was under construction outside, with new guest rooms being added. Our room was huge and comfortable, but basic in it's features, especially the washroom. The staff were flawless, polite and helpful in every way. The food was simple but served very hot and tasty and everything was spotlessly clean throughout. Loved the thatch-roofed bar out back.

Good and professional staff. Clean place overall. The only problem is the bar goes very late with some noise that might affect one's sleep quality.

We only stayed for 1 night. We had a large room, big enough for the four of us. Breakfast was included, no vegan options as I did ask for prior to our stay. Dinner was average and cheap.
