It's a good hotel with the same standards of Radisson that you can relate to. The nice thing about this hotel is that they don't have carpets in the room. It's tiled floors throughout which gives it a clean fresh look. There's a gym overlooking the sparkling blue pool. They also have spa facilities and a decent restaurant with good food.
The meeting was excellent. The venue for the meeting was conducive and enabled the team to achieve the objectives of the meeting. The set up was just too good for a meeting and the equipment were efficient
We stayed in Lusaka for business. The Radisson offers spacious rooms - design is not specifically my personal taste. But clean and comfortable. We eventually stayed in the rooms with small seating outside facing the pool (highly recommended). It was always nice to come back after a hard day working... Relax (or work more) outside near the wood fire. The staff at the desk - specially Nathalie - were great. Always welcoming you with a big smile and a chat.
Thank you so much Lulu Mubita for such a warm and humbling welcome at the hotel. You actually made my stay so homely. Your caring and support was amazing. You displayed real great leadership qualities. Well done my sister. You are really a great ambassador and brand for the hotel. I want you to know that I will be back again because people buy people and you made that statement very loud to me. Stay blessed. Regards, Peter Malinga.
We started our trip through Zambia to south Luangwa , Malama and Livingstone here in the Radison Blu. The food, the rooms, all is worth while! Friendly staff, big comfy beds. We had a beautiful lunch at the pool and stayed for dinner as well!
the price of a hotel 'cab' from the airport is expensive and don't expect a quality or solo ride as the car will be old and you will have to share with others. do not take a taxi from the hotel as they are about 3 times the price you should be paying. positives - the staff and good and friendly, the rooms are excellent and clean as well as being very big, in fact some of the better hotel rooms i have travelled in. the food is good but very expensive, go to the east mall across the road, you will find an excellent Thai and Indian (look for the emirates sign) and a lot less cost. the negatives are- the Zambian prostitutes at the bar claiming they are waiting for friends- not good this is a 5* they should ask them to leave. the cost of food and drink and the taxi situation. all in all a good hotel which i would recommend apart from the taxi situation and girls of he night at the bar
The Radisson Blu Lusaka offers safe, comfortable accommodations in a location that is convenient to many other parts of the city. There is a restaurant directly across the street and breakfast there is included in the daily rate, which is a great bonus. Other meals at that restaurant are tasty and at a reasonable cost. Free wifi. Nice bathroom and showers. Would stay again.
We stayed here on 2 separate nights a week apart. Good things: * our rooms were clean and comfortable. * service is very good: On our 2nd stay, there was a problem with the hot water (it wasn't hot) but one call to the front desk and someone was there to fix it within minutes. This sums up the service we received on both occasions. Each time we needed assistance, someone was readily available to help - always with a smile. White, one of the concierges, was particularly helpful, getting us a taxi to the airport as well as fetching us more water and sorting out the hot water problem. * The location is good in that it is not far from the airport and it is across the road from a shopping centre. * Food: The restaurant attached to the hotel is fantastic! They have a new chef and the food we ate was amazing! So varied, tasty and beautifully presented. I would highly recommend eating here! It's not cheap but it's worth it! Bernard, our waiter was very attentive and always smiling. My only real issues: * wi fi - very inconsistent. It kept booting me out and then I'd have to go back to my settings to get it back. Sometimes it let me, other times not. This was in the room. I'm not sure if it would have been better in the lobby. *It can be a little noisy. You can hear quite clearly the doors banging open and closed outside in the hallway and when it's late at night or early in the morning, it may keep you awake or wake you up. Also, there was a band or music of some sort on our 2nd night and we could feel and hear the vibration from the base well past midnight. However, this may have been a one-off as there were celebrations going on at the hotel that evening and we heard nothing like this the previous Friday. I would recommend staying here. For anyone who has not traveled to Lusaka or similar African cities, this is not typical 5 star (and not typical Radisson Blu standard) - not what you would get in say China or India or in other western countries or even Nairobi or Cape Town or Jo'burg. So don't let the $200+ per night in an African city fool you into thinking you will get typical 5 star. You won't. But you will get good service, clean rooms, helpful staff and a pleasant, comfortable stay with great food!
The hotel is a new addition to accommodation in Lusaka and is located outside the bustle and hustle of city Centre but close to a shopping mall and the town Centre. The check in check out process is quick and staff are courteous albeit slow. The meals are decent and large variety available. I also enjoyed. Morning work out at the hymn. Stayed on the ground floor and never experienced any disturbances
Great hotel but not to the more modern Radisson Blu standards. Great location, especially if you have a business event in the nearby Mulungushi Convention Center. Be warned that mosquitoes are present in the rooms. Staff are wonderful, and food is OK.
