The rooms are spacious and comfortable, beds are large aswell. Shower is firm and bathroom is spacious. The rooms are clean, staff is friendly. There is a big pool with enough sun beds, the sun beds are not very comfy though. Breakfast is nice and there are many dishes to choose from. Staff is friendly and helpful. The room rates are very high.
We stayed at The Radison Blue in Lusaka for one night whilst transiting from the UK to Mfuwe and the South Luangwa National Park. We chose The Radison Blue as you know what to expect and we were not disapointed. The room was nice and the bed very comfortable and very clean. We spent a relaxing afternoon around the pool taking in some sun and fresh air after a long flight from the UK via Nairobi. Just the way to relax and recover from a tiring flight. We had a yummy pizza and several cooling Mosi Beers around the pool. In the evening we didn't venture out and we eat in the hotel restaurant. Most people went for the buffet but we had a very nice steak from the a la carte menu and decent bottle of red wine. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive.
Great location, clean rooms and super friendly staff. Meeting hall well equipped, internet service was free and fast. Buffet available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food from the MENU was very good as well. Would strongly advice on this hotel whenever in Lusaka.
I enjoy going to the Radisson. The entrance is spacious, and the staff welcoming. It feels good to arrive there. A first for me was WiFi in the shuttle from the Airport. Considerate, considering the price of WiFi in Africa when on a roaming network. Rooms are enormous. Beds are beautiful. Linen luxurious. One disappointment, however, is the evening food. I have noted that the buffet has deteriorated over the years that I have visited. It needs a fresh approach and fresh food.
Rooms. Expensive yet Cheap-looking, chintzy not cheerful. Food. Lunch buffet is good. Setting: appalling. Overlooks the busiest traffic intersection in the city. Only nearby pubs or restaurants are in 2 concrete-bound shopping mall which you cannot walk to even though on is 300 metres away and the other is 800 metres away. Go elsewhere. the Taj Pamodzi or the Intercontinental or the Southern Sun - Ridgeway or even better - the boutique "Latitude-15". Spare yourself. If you are looking for Radisson international standard then you are in the wrong place. Needs face-lifts in many ways. Its single attribute is that it is 30 minutes from the airport whereas its competitors are 40 minutes from the airport.
Great facade but for a fairly new hotel the rooms and bathrooms are in need of repair. Was moved and upgraded to business class, which we found a little better but also needs some attention, I have stayed in a few Radisson this does not match the standard you are paying for. The food was not the greatest.
Usual Radisson Blu, impressive foyer & large, nice bedroom but bathroom a little jaded & couldn’t use shower to start with because the shower head was too high to adjust flow which flooded the floor & water was only cold. This was fixed quickly. The bath, while fancy, was dangerous for all but athletes! There was a nice little hotel pool but enclosed by hotel walls & in the evening, full of mosquitoes. Breakfast was good but dinner was only OK.
I am a regular guest at this hotel, the services are amazing, the food is amazing, the gym is amazing, the proximity to one of the largest shopping malls is a plus. i loved the rooms, helpfull staff, the bar is out of this world, nice place to relax
Everything was good. Food is perfect, BBQ parties are perfect, chief is a God of food. If it is possible, can you bring antimosquito sprays to each room? sometimes mosquitos are annoying, may be because of fountain pond.
Good hotel of international standards, pay extra for a club room right next to the pool. I have stayed at many Radisson Blu hotels in Europe and they're always good, I enjoy a good steak, in fact I'll even enjoy a bad steak but never in 40 years of travel and eating in hotel and restaurants have I encountered such a bad steak that I felt ill whilst trying to eat it..I soon gave up and left it. Didn't complain at the time as would of embarrassed my my table so kept quiet, an hour later went back to the manager and explained how bad it was ( like some blubbery pale grey blob ), his answer was I should of said at the time as too late to complain now..yes he has a point, but not well handled and I left vowing never to go back again..not really how it should of been left.
