Simple Pleasures at the River

Brand new cabin. Welcome to Simple Pleasures.The perfect place to relax and enjoy nature, with
stunning views of the Shenandoah River and surrounding forest. Conveniently located near town
attractions such as the Luray Caverns or the Shenandoah National Park, the river cabin offers a
relaxing experience combining comfort and the beauty of the great outdoors. Whether you are
outdoorsy, a homebody, a solo traveler, or traveling with an extended family, we’ve got you covered.
Living room:
The cabin is thoughtfully decorated to encourage rest, rejuvenation, and relaxation. When you
step inside, you will be delighted by the rustic feel, yet rest assured knowing you have every
modern convenience. With 2 bedrooms and two full baths, there is plenty of space for everyone to
keep up with daily routines before enjoying the great outdoors, multiple trails, or fishing from
the bank/river. A flat-screen TV with streaming access/Wi-Fi hangs nearby to entertain you. The
open floor plan is designed to keep conversations flowing. Comfortable seating abounds, and in
addition to an air conditioner, ceiling fans spin lazily overhead to keep the room at the perfect
temperature.
Kitchen and Dining:
The fully appointed kitchen is ready to provide for your every culinary need. Stock the fridge with your preferred beverages, cook your favorite meal, and have a candlelit picnic by the river.
Dining is easy here at the Southern Comfort River Cabin. Lay out a sumptuous feast and dine in
style. The kitchen is furnished with a refrigerator, oven, microwave, and various small appliances, and, of course, all you need for coffee each morning. Enjoy your meal at the dining table or the spacious patio with a spectacular view of the Shenandoah River. We have a
corkscrew ready for you. Bring the wine, pop the cork, and toast to a fantastic vacation! Game Room: In the evenings or on rainy days, take advantage of our game room. there are numerous board games, a Ms. PacMan machine, a Centipede machine, and even a pool table to pass the time away.
Outdoor Spaces:
Words cannot describe the outdoor experience by the river. Enjoy your morning coffee in a
rocking chair on the fully covered deck while you listen to the water and watch for local wildlife,
deer, wild turkeys, owls, and the occasional black bear!
Enjoy our private river lot in warmer weather; bring bathing suits, tubes, fishing poles, or a
kayak and glide down the river. (Tubes and fishing poles are available.) Or you may just want to sit by the firepit, relax and enjoy the view of the river.
With all the natural wonder that the river cabin offers, you might never want to leave your cottage. But if you do, take a short trip to Luray and enjoy everything the town offers, from charming local eateries to grocery shopping and entertainment.
