Welcome to Hygge GÃ¥rd
We feel fortunate to be able to share our farm and its beautiful landscapes and environment with you. We have named our farm "Hygge GÃ¥rd." Hygge can be translated into a sense of comfort, coziness, and well-being. Hygge is an attitude towards life that illuminates the finding of joy in everyday life experiences. GÃ¥rd is the Danish word for farm. Therefore, we hope that you can enjoy the Hygge experience of pursuing everyday happiness by visiting our farm.
We have a large lawn, orchard, and organic garden on the property. One of the owners and co-host(Greg) may be on the farm tending to their management. Occasionally he may stay in our apartment in the barn.
Guests can expect to find free WiFi and a Smart TV with a DVD player. Other standard amenities include a kitchen, a washing machine, and 1.5 bathrooms.

Beautiful Rural House

This house is the perfect location to visi our family and many area communities and lakes. It is a quiet rural setting where you can enjoy wildlife and yet within 5 minutes to a grocery store, cafe, golf course, gas stations, lakes and more. The house is well stocked. This is the best place we have stayed at in the area in the past 4 years.

Magical Place

This space was so magical! It was located on a beautiful farm with so much space to explore. The house itself was set up beautifully with 4 bedrooms, so everyone got to have their own sleeping space. The beds were comfortable, which was fantastic. The layout of the house was smart and had everything we needed. My friends and I planned a craft retreat here and it worked out so well for that. We plan on doing that again. We took several walks around the farm, which was lovely. And the host was incredibly communicative. He even sent a message, prior to our visit, with restaurant, shopping & hiking suggestions. Which was really nice. If you stay here, definitely check out Cafe Wren. Excellent food & atmosphere. The bonus of this home was a book written by the family that told of the history of the farm & area. I would recommend this VRBO to anyone who is looking for a true getaway where you can just relax in a homey space and enjoy the great outdoors!
