The house is very cosy, great place and enough space for 2 families with 4 children. The garden is wonderful and the kitchen is big enough. Every family had an own floor and the views are spectacular. .

We had a great 3 nights. The countryside And views are fantastic And the place has great character, if you can take advantage of the offer of a welcome meal, do so. Invino’s food is great and it was a great start to our holiday.

Stunning Hilltop Villa with Breathtaking Views over Lucca

We had a wonderful stay at this villa near Lucca. The 360-degree views over the surrounding hills are truly amazing and make the property feel very special and unique. The gardens are beautiful, and the kids enjoyed the spacious lawn and pool. The villa itself is very spacious and was perfect for a cross-generational family, comfortably accommodating both small children and grandparents alike. Inside, it is tastefully designed with great attention to detail, and we were welcomed by fresh wildflowers throughout, which was a lovely touch. The kitchen is on the smaller side, but it is cosy and fully functional. We would absolutely recommend this villa and would be very happy to return. Instructions for the jacuzzi. 2 of the central upper bedrooms had a smell coming from the bathrooms

We had a wonderful stay! The Villa was beyond expectations

The Villa, the decoration, the linens, the comfort of the rooms, the pool, the outside sitting and dining area. The flowers and herb bushes and lemon trees were spectacular. The day and night view of Lucca was breathless. We were 9 adults with 2 young children and we will all never forget this memorial week at the Villa Castello… Thank-you

Stunning Villa

This was by far one of the most beautiful places we have stayed at. Unbelievable 360-degree views, incredible amenities. Our group of five was very comfortable but it could have accommodated many more people as well. It may be hundreds of years old but has all of the modern comforts (including excellent A/C and fully outfitted kitchen). There wasn’t a single detail that hadn’t been thought of, and it’s only 20 minutes from the Lucca town center.

Very nice house. Clean and nice garden. Well decorated and good beds/showers. Only comment is that the kitchen is very small for a big house so it was hard to cook and tidy up after meals. The bbq helped in that regard. Erica was helpful throughout. Lucca is just close enough to be convenient and is lovely

The property was just as it was pictured on the web site. Beautiful, on a hill with land and olive trees surrounding the property. Spectacular views of hills and other villas. Main bedroom on second floor needs smoothest working closet doors and a bureau of drawers.

We had a lovely week at Villa il Castello. There were 9 of us in total and there was plenty of space for us all. The villa was stunning, clean and well maintained. Facilities were great and had everything we would need. The 360 views around the villa are breathtaking, we ended up spending so much time outside in the gardens. We also held a small wedding ceremony on one day we were there which the villa team ensured would go smoothly through communication with ourselves and our wedding planner. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Tuscan Paradise

We were a group of 10 friends from Canada starting a three week journey to Italy. The prop-erty was perfect for us, roomy, comfortable and so beautiful. We walked into Lucca a few times,got a taxi. The pool was such a treat at the end of a day of sightseeing, and the cooking class was a blast Christina. We loved exploring the grounds, the communal meals in the huge dining roomoutside under the trees. A fabulous property-thank you Sonia and Christina for a memorable week.

Fantastic feelings at Il Castello

Villa Il Castello is situated on a Tuscan hillside very close to Lucca with gorgeous views. We had one of our best holidays here with four other couples. The villa is spacious and intriguing. The Jacuzzi was a huge hit. One evening we had a delicious dinner prepared by a local chef. My best memory is drinking wine on the veranda while listening to the music from the village festival. Simona was the most attentive agent I have ever dealt with. We had Fantastic feelings - highly recommend!

Authentic Tuscan Villa with pool in Lucca

A memorable experience in a part of the world that needs to be explored. The area is ex-tremely friendly and offers travelers interesting past, present and future - no matter the type of traveler you are. The Villa offers learning experiences along with rest and relaxation, shopping, and culture - whatever you choose. The pool is magnificent and set among the greenery with a beautiful view. Pure Beauty

Our multi generational family of 11 had the most amazing stay. From the moment we booked everyone was so helpful in providing recommendations for our trip (wine tours, chefs, etc). Upon arrival Elena was so helpful directing us to the house and walking us through all the details. The house speaks for itself. As stunning as the pictures are, the reality is shockingly even more impressive. Around every corner is another breathtaking vista. We enjoyed many hours in the pool and the house provided the perfect base for our visit to Tuscany! We dream of returning one day! Thank you!

We booked this place for our parents’ 50th year wedding anniversary and we are so happy we did. The scenery was beautiful, the landscaping was amazing, and the view was unmatched. The property was even more beautiful than the pictures. Our granddaughter loved running through the yard and seeing all the flowers and citrus plants. We enjoyed the jacuzzi almost every evening. Sitting at the bistro overlooking the city was our favorite place for coffee. The beds were amazing and we all the best sleep. It was a short drive into Lucca, which is an amazing city to explore, shop, and eat in. We had a large van and driving up and down the mountain was no problem. The whole family was sad to leave and are already talking about when we can return.

Dream trip of a lifetime

This villa was simply spectacular. We have traveled the world, and this was by far the best accommodation we have ever stayed. It was a dream come true to spend 12 days here with my family. Everything in the villa has been restored to perfection! We have already recommended this villa to multiple family and friends, who plan on booking it in the future. Hopefully that will give us a discount for our next day! We will be back. Morano the caretaker was simply wonderful. He brought us gifts and shared everything. He knew about the history of the villa. Thank you so much for everything. It was just magical. The only thing I would say to improve our stay, would be more Wi-Fi routers in the house. Or Wi-Fi extenders. And please get new recycling bins inside the house that make it easier to sort the garbages. Other than that, everything was pure perfection.

Our family of 8 had the most fabulous stay at Villa Il Castello set in the countryside near Lucca. The beautiful villa was warm, inviting and extremely comfortable. The rooms were charming, well appointed and clean. The kitchen was super well stocked with all the amenities we required. Along with a large dining room, the villa also had two lovely outdoor eating spaces. The views from the garden just outside the vila overlook the large pool and vistas of Lucca city. The Jacuzzi was perfect to come home to at the end of each day We spent a blissful 5 days at the villa and would highly recommend it to anyone that is interested. The Lucca Apartments and Villa's team coordinated our stay seamlessly over email and once we were at the villa Manuela, our concierge, took great care of us! Special shout out to the amazing Alice who cooked us two delicious dinners in the villa. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we hope to be back again soon!
