Great hotel for the price. Cleanliness is always my top priority in a hotel and this one always delivers. I say here whenever I'm in Lubbock and plan to keep doing so. The only thing I would change is the Wifi, its there and free but gets bogged down quickly during peak times.

We really enjoyed our stay, it was a great deal for such a nice hotel. The hotel seemed a little older but kept up very well! Our room was very spacious and nice! The only complaint we had was the people above us sounded like elephants stomping around all night, not sure if it was thin floors or just annoying people! Other than that everything was great!!

We began with dishonest staff who did not tell me upon check in that AC was broken in my suite and a temporary unit was in the room. Upon entering room, the temperature was above 80. I asked to be moved which happened but was moved to a smaller room. The room I was moved to had a large flood light outside the window. Although there were shades on the windows, the light shown brightly all night and the room was as bright as daylight. My family and I did not sleep either night. Horrible experience for the price paid.

Room not worth $132. Clean just not extra special

Clean, spacious, comfy! Repeat customer and will continue to be.

Good staff, breakfast excellent, coffee great and hotel clean. The scenery around the hotel was a little sketchy but would stay again

I traveled to Lubbock on business twice and stayed here. The first time at this hotel the internet was atrocious. Not even 1MB speed up and down. I had to leave hotel to join a videoconference. Now, at least, they upgraded to Internet that provides about 7MB down and 2MB up. its decent, but not as bad as before. Hotels that want to cater to ANY business travelers should have NO LESS THAN 10MB up and down. After all, standard HOME internet speeds are MORE THAN 10MB up and down. Hotel chains neeeeeeeeed to wake up. At least this one is just taking a nap and hit the snooze button for now.

If you have any type of business which requires internet service, DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I had a video conference when I arrived and I found out that their "high speed internet" barely gets 1MB upload and 1MB download. I had to leave the hotel and go to a restaurant that offered free wi-fi in order to conduct my video conference. In fact, the internet was soooooooooooooo slow, I barely got 0.38Mbps at one point and couldn't send or receive emails thru Outlook or via the cloud since the web connectivity disconnected repeatedly. My ONLY solution to get wi-fi service during my stay was to m ake my cell phone into a hot spot and connect my laptop to the cell service (which was 17MB upload and download). Therefore, if you plan on conducting any kind of business over the internet while in Lubbock, TX, DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

The lobby smelled of cigarette. My room was on the third floor and by 6:00 am I had someone on the fourth floor "walking over my head!", from one side of the room to the other. I also heard people talking outside of my room late at night. The bathroom didn't have a place to hang the towel while showering. I had to come out of the bathtub after my shower and pick it up from its place above the toilet. Not good!

The clerk at check in was very friendly. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast is very good and includes hot and cold selections.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, and breakfast was good.

The staff was incredibly friendly, the room was very comfortable, and it was close to everything I needed. Free shuttle to and from the airport (with pre booking 24 hours in advance) was very convenient. I would highly recommend staying here

Check in was quick and staff was great. Rooms nice and clean. Good location.

I don't eat the free breakfasts in hotels but it looked like a nice spread if that's your jam.

We went to Lubbock unfortunately for a funeral. We arrived about midnight after and were welcomed by the nice young man working the reception desk. I noticed how nice and clean everything looked, including the floors which had just been polished. Our room had 2 queen beds in it and they were very comfortable. The carpet and the bathrooms were very clean. Check out was easy and again the receptionist very courteous. The breakfast was not great, but we grabbed some coffee, eggs and a banana and that was all we really needed. I felt like the hotel was a great value and would stay there again.

Lady at front desk was polite, friendly. Sign in was ready and easy. Room was spacious , clean. Will stay there next visit.

My husband and I went to Lubbock for the night and received a great offer on the room. Once we got there the curtains had seen there better days, so thank goodness I don't get ready by a window! We had to call and get new bulbs for the lamps and the bathroom. Lastly, their pillows were the absolute WORST pillows EVER! The staff was very friendly.

Everything was great but the coffee at the breakfast buffet was little more than colored water....if u r going to serve coffee please make sure it is something u would drink

Was much nicer than I thought it was going to be! The bed was probably one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Room was spotless and the staff was fantastic. I would love to stay there again!

Our stay at this Hawthorn Suites was overall great. The property was well lit, spacious, clean, and comfortable. Our only complaint was with the breakfast time. Upon checking in were told served until 9:30 which is about average, however imagine our surprise when all was put away by 9:30. Was told only served until 9:00. That's rather inconvenient for late risers that really enjoyed the comfort of the beds! Really should accommodate every guest and serve until at least 9:30. I don't believe we are the exception to the rule on this one.
