The location of the property was ideal. Close to Maho beach. The property was well kept, however the food was a bit too monotonous. Pretty the same thing rotated for the different nights. Some staff were helpful and pleasant but most of them were just "there". Some of them expressed their displeasure of working there.

The overall resort and staff was wonderful. My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The only reason I did not give 5 stars on everything was because when I turned the AC to fan mode the ceiling started to leak, they did send maintenance to fix and clean it up. It happened the next day and no one ever came. The AC did work though. Another thing, we stayed on the adult side but the family side was way more active with more entertainment that should have been on the adult side. The adult side was more quiet and a little boring. The family side had a casino in their lobby and the adult side didn't. How's that possible? lol, The family side lobby had AC and the adult side didn't. The family side had great music and the adult side was quiet. It's like the adult side was made for you to go to sleep. lol They did have a little live singing in one of the pools for about 2 hours if you caught it but you would think the all adult side would be fun, fun, fun. My husband and I enjoyed our honeymoon but we have been to livelier adult resorts. The staff and food were amazing!!!

Our stay at Sonesta Ocean Point was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was spotless and confortable. The food was great but specially al Blue restaurant where in particular we want to thank some special people who work there and they are Jenneal, Schneider and Sidia they made us feel welcome and happy. If there is something we need to said is the hotel does not has a doctor nor nurse service, I had a cut in one foot and my wife has to run to the city to buy supplies to to cure it.

Negatives: 1. They said they would decorate the room for our honeymoon, but did not. 2. The bed in our room had been slept in before. There was a significant amount of hair, glitter, sand, makeup, and other debris all over the fitted bed sheet. 3. There was no running water (shower/taps/toilet) in the hotel room for 3-4 hours during one day of our stay. Luckily it only happened once during our stay. 4. I slipped and nearly fell on a significant amount of water lying on the floor in the entrance of our room. It was water from them cleaning the floors in the hallway that morning. It leaked under our door. The housekeepers were great when we asked for towels to clean it up. The shower system is also a slipping hazard, as there's no full door so all the water goes all over the bathroom floor. Be cautious! Positives: 1. The adult side restaurants are awesome (especially Azul). It was beautiful, tasty, and the staff were wonderful. 2. Almost all of the staff were friendly and kind. 3. Minus the dirty bedsheets, I found the place relatively clean. 4. It's a convenient location with some beautiful views. 5. The staff that came by daily to see if we needed extra towels or water was much appreciated. I agree with other reviews: the drinks were a hit or miss. Sometimes they didn't even taste like they had alcohol and other times they were strong. Overall, we would return to St. Martin, but we would not return to Sonesta Ocean Point. It wasn't awful, but it also wasn't great.

Sonesta Ocean Point is an amazing all inclusive adults only property, extreme value! The food was outstanding, the service top to bottom was amazing. The views from the pictures are from dinner in the restaurant also pictured. If you are looking for a great getaway, look no further!

Hotel clean, pool nice. Drinks were nasty & cheap, not top shelf. Not fully adults only. There were roaches in the pizza restaurant area. Azul restaurant — HORRIBLE experience. we weren’t allowed to eat here bc my partner didn’t have a collard shirt on. (He only packed one for this trip) They allowed us to eat with the azul menu but we had to eat it upstairs in the bluefin restaurant which did not require a collard shirt. The food from azul was good. we went back to do the same thing two days later bc we thought it wasn’t a problem but the manager gave us a bad attitude & was not nice to us whatsoever, but she did let us eat with the azul menu upstairs. On our last night we didn’t want to eat at the buffet or Mexican so we asked if we could eat with the azul menu upstairs. Attitude again but they said yes. A few moment later we were asked to leave. She asked us where we were gonna eat & we said we don’t know. Yet we paid $4,000 for this experience. The Italian restaurant let us take some lasagna to go the manger was sweet & cared. Feeling like we were begging for food felt degrading. Italian restaurant — this night my partner wore his collard shirt. the hostess brought us to the back of the restaurant bc we had a white wrist band (adults only) & told us that this area of the restaurant is exclusive for adults only side. This was cool because a lot of the restaurants are combined with the family side. We both got a Caesar salad & the lasagna. The service & food was great.
