I traveled with my family we were a group 24 people and we had a great time. The resort is five minutes drive from the airport located at Maho Beach. Many thanks to the hotel manager Mr. Smith, he was very helpful with our check in and he made sure that we were thanking care of also we want to thanks Jordan’s from the buffet restaurant she was the best.

I had high hopes for our stay at Sonesta, but it turned out to be a very disappointing experience. From the moment we arrived on Sunday, we dealt with issues that were never properly resolved. The bathroom flooded every single day due to a problem with the shower, and we had to sleep with the floor completely wet. The toilet also clogged during our stay, and even though we called for maintenance multiple times, they took forever to show up if they came at all. Housekeeping never came to clean our room, so we were left to deal with the mess ourselves. The air conditioning barely worked, leaving the room hot and uncomfortable, which made everything feel even worse after spending time outside. The food was also a major letdown. Most of it was buffet-style, but there was no proper air circulation in the dining areas. The food just sat there in the heat, making it not only unappetizing but also questionable in terms of freshness and safety. Overall, this stay did not live up to expectations at all. For what we paid, the quality of service and comfort was nowhere near acceptable. I truly hope management addresses these issues because the location has potential but right now, it’s not worth it.

The manager was rude. My TV or phone did not work in the room they said the hotel was booked so they couldn’t move me into another room anytime I needed anything I had to leave the comfort of my room to go to the front desk. On check out day there was no hot water for 3 hours which caused me to stay past check out time. They tried to tell me take a shower in cold water because it’s better for the bones. When I returned downstairs they tried to charge me a late fee when it was their fault there was no hot water. They did not offer any compensation or even a spa day unbelievable

My family of 11 planned this trip to the beautiful island of St. Maarten for a year. The island did not disappoint. Maho and Mullet Bay beach were amazing as expected. We selected Sonesta for the views and their other accommodations. The locals are beautiful people. However, “the friendly island,” was unfriendly to most of us at one point or another during our stay in the Sonesta. We greeted the waitresses and other resort staff with respect. In return on several occasions we were greeted with rude gestures, questions, comments, and eye rolls. As black people, this was shocking, disheartening, and disappointing. We felt unwelcomed

The property was good. The beds are extremely hard the food is ok. The service from everyone was great though. The property is near a few things within walking distance which was great!

Hotel was nice but it needs to do some upgrades. The bathrooms needs a major upgrade when you take a shower the water wets up the floor. I suggest they put a full shower door. Food is ok. The breakfast was the best.
