The staff was excellent. The rooms need to be refreshed, clean but old. Some rooms had a musty smell. The pool lacked attention and the water turned green. There was outside maintenance work ongoing in the pool area with loud motors running on and off during the day. The location is excellent with walking distance to everything in Maho.

We had to cancel this trip of a lifetime for medical reasons and the property management would not respond to any requests for refund. Expedia reached out to them but they would NOT honor any requests for a refund nor our personnel emails requesting same. Very disappointing and sad.

This property is very well situated and the front desk staff and managers such as Nina, numerous female representatives Keleisha, and others were very helpful. My only complaint is that the towel policy between properties should be consolidated, this green and blue towels nonsense would reduce the number of security guards asking if you belong in the property or not. Very off putting. Otherwise, keep doing the great work.

Location is perfect! Very quiet hotel compared to busy Sonesta across the street. View out by the pool is amazing if you’re into the planes coming in to land at nearby airport.

Young men find it amusing to put on show in the middle of the street at 1am and burn their tires on their motorcycles in front of a crowd. Good luck sleeping if you have a room facing the street.

I only got to experience the property for a few hours due to a fire that broke out on the second floor around 10 pm and we had to be evacuate the property (I checked in only 7 hours prior to this event). The overall rating of 1 star is due to the inadmissible safety gaps the property struggled with which could have caused significant losses of life if it weren’t for a 20 year old guy staying at the property across from this one who took it upon himself to alert the security guards. There were no fire alarms inside the room or the hallways, there were no smoke dete toes inside the room or hallways and based on discussions with the local security guards the fire extinguishers did not work. I do want to give credit where credit is due and confirm the room was clean and in too top shape prior to me having to leave the property. We were transferred to the sister property La Plage and everything was great there. I did ask for a refund for the night in question and have yet to hear resolution on it. I do want to commend the local ambulance service who checked us for smoke inhalation. I would recommend future guests to make sure the safety standards are in place before booking.

Unfortunately I can’t say anything good, except to help others avoid this property. What a dump. Hasn’t been updated since the 70s. Dingy hallways, smelly. No amenities no room service, noise level through the roof until 4:00 AM. Broken AC stuck at 67 and frozen. No one to call for extra bedding. Pull out sofa in living room horrible. Wouldn’t shower here, so grossed out. The property across the street a little nicer, with some renovated rooms. Parking lot was tough, and the second floor stunk. Housekeeping lady was even rude, promptly knocking at 10:00 AM for checkout. Accused me of lying when I said, front desk didn’t tell me check out was 10:00.. Anyone who says this place is great is lying to get you to experience the misery they did.
