The Mount Vernon Grand Hotel

Beautiful hotel

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. When you are in the room, it literally feels like you must be in a big city- not mount Vernon, Ohio. We stayed for my daughter's 13th birthday and she said it was the best gift ever. :) My only complaint- if you can even call it that- was that the breakfast was a little bland. "Egg patties " were served and they were horrible. Other than that they had ham and hash browns offered which were ok. They served your usual cereal and muffins also. Overall it was an amazing stay and I would definitely go back.

Hilton Garden Inn Wooster

We had a great experience

We stayed here while going for a college visit with our son. The location and convenience of the hotel made getting anywhere we needed to go extremely easy and they accommodations were great.

Days Inn by Wyndham Wooster

The smell

Overall it was acceptable. Room furnishings was the best part. However after 4 days of trying to track down the source of the bad perfume smell. It was in 4 of 5 pillows and in the mattress. The hotel did lend me their air freshener to spray down all the surfaces in the room including the linens. The stink is in the pillow and mattress, I imagine staff has known about this for a while and just lets it slide. The pool was warm, the Jacuzzi was warm and I did not bother to get in either one of them because I like a cool pool and a hot Jacuzzi. Breakfast looks better than it is. I did appreciate the yogurt and apple juice for breakfast. Not having butter or a working syrup pump is a sin when I am staring at a fantastic waffle.

Hampton Inn & Suites Mansfield-South @ I-71

Nice stay. Very thin walls and floors.

This was a beautiful place. The reason we did not rate 5 was we killed 6 stink bugs and multiple japanese beetles. Also, you can hear every single footstep above you. We were up until 2 am because of heavy walking. I also felt obligated to make my toddler sit. I didn't want the people below us hearing what we did. That was not fun for her. The staff was excellent. There is a pay per use washer and dryer and free business center.
