We had planned a last minute trip for a convention in DTLA (Dowtown Los Angles) Hotels downtown can be real $$$ so we found this on a discount for $120 a night! Off to Pasadena we go...Mid afternoon check in was painless, front desk agent was uber helpful and upgraded no charge and found a room that was ready and it was about 1p! Room and hotel looks like had just been upgraded about a year and everything looks still new! Super hip colors and design and when you enter the room tv is own there comercial looped to ZeroLean "Its all good" before the end of the trip it will be locked in your brain! ROom is big lots of areas to relax and full kitchen, work desk, couch and comfuy bed! Nice pictures on wall and really a comfortable room. We drove but used the light rail 2 blk walk and got all around Pasadena and Downtown LA and dint have to pay crazy parking charges here and all over. Lots of places to eat drink and shop down on Orange blvd too. Nice breakfast fruit, eggs, muffins filling and hardy too! Planning a return trip Pasadena has a lot to see and do and its 1 1.5 miles to Rosebowl for game fans, Rolling stones fans for May concert!

We tried to check in after making a reservation for 4 nights at $120/ night. When we arrived they told us that my husband's gov't ID wasn't in state and they had to charge us $180/night. Nowhere in the site does it state it has to be a CA ID. We even pulled up the site and showed it to them and asked where it says that. Of course they couldn't nut they wouldn't honor the rate I booked the room for so needless to say we DID NOT stay. They didn't care one bit or try to accommodate in any way. Never ever will we book there again.

The Residence In. Rooms and public spaces are clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen had essentials. The free breakfast was more than adequate. The only downfall is that there is not a restaurant in or near the hotel. Not even a convenience store. Though there are places not far, you are surrounded by highways and large streets. No convinces in-house

Arrived after four but room wasn't ready. The check in staff comped our parking for this inconvenience. Room was relatively large, but it was a challenge to sleep four, since the fold out couch was basically a single bed. The hotel is within walking distance of many dining options. Breakfast wasn't bad. We couldn't use hot tub since there was an excess of bubbles, as if someone had poured in dish liquid. Was able to print out Disneyland tickets at the computers in the lobby.

This is the first time I’ve stayed at this relatively new property. We spent five nights here with my family from Maui and found it extremely convenient to many Los Angeles attractions. More importantly it is right in the heart of old town with more restaurants than you can ever visit in a short stay. The staff here was typical of the outstanding employees in the Marriott groups.

I would highly recommend the Residence Inn Old Town Pasadena. We were in town for five nights. Both rooms were clean and modern and the one bedroom suite on the fifth floor had double + high ceilings and great views of the mountains. The staff couldn’t be nicer to us and to the many families that had relocated there because of the wildfire. I will stay there again when I’m in Pasadena next month.

WALLS ARE PAPER THIN! People up all night, moving furniture, got woken up at 5:00 a.m. from the people next to me who then banged on the wall. Did not get a restful sleep the entire time. Rooms are very nice besides that, but it was very disconcerting for such an expensive hotel that every single night there was loud noises all around me. I had to call the office when the people started banging on the wall at 5:00 a.m.

I am late with my review but after staying here I don't think I could stay at any other especially with the grandchildren. I loved that there was a kitchen and breakfast. The staff was so nice including the front desk it was clean and comfortable.

We had a very good experience with this hotel We stayed here to attend a UCLA Football game at the Rose Bowl The room was great and was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful and gave us recommendations for lunch on Old Town that worked out well. Due to prior reviews about Rose Bowl parking, we walked to the stadium. We found it and pretty easy walk and it took about 20 minutes. It was a safe , nice walk and there were police all along the way. For what we needed, the hotel was perfect. We would return.

My friends and I stayed one night here whilst we were vising LA and attending the Beyonce/ Jay Z concert. We were pleasantly surprised by the room - very large with a comfy King Bed and Sofa bed, really modern, small kitchenette and nice bathroom. It would be the perfect room for a longer stay. We arrived early hoping for an early check in and we were lucky enough they could cater to our request allowing us to relax and get ready for the concert without rushing. There were plenty of shops, restaurants, cafes etc within a short walk of the hotel. The Rose Bowl was a short Uber ride away, however on the way back following the concert we couldn't get an Uber and ended up walking the whole way back - it was about a 25min walk at night which was fine as it had cooled down. The following day we were heading back to LAX to fly home, but our flight was not until 10.30pm. We were so lucky the Customer Service person at front desk was amazing and let us check out late around 2pm. They also let us hang around the pool area and relax while we were waiting until late afternoon to head to the airport. This made what would have been a long and boring day a pretty relaxing one! Overall we were really happy with this Hotel and would definitely stay there again if we were vising the Rose Bowl - thanks for the great service!
