Please note that guests staying in the Malibu Sand suites do not have access to the elevated beach deck, sand lounge area, or rooftop jacuzzi, as these are reserved for the separate main house on the property. Guests seeking access to a private elevated beach area with lounge chairs are encouraged to book one of the SA Beach suites next door. Access to CURE Wellness and Gym is included and conveniently located nearby.

Dubbed "Billionaire's Beach" by locals, Carbon Beach has become one of the most popular and requested beaches in Malibu. Known for its long sandy beaches makes Carbon perfect for long walks on the beach, paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming, and sunbathing. You will be steps away from Nobu, the SoHo House, and seconds away from the sand. You can walk to Surfrider beach or the Malibu Pier from the beach access onsite, or you can walk a little further to the Country Mart for the best restaurants and shops in Malibu. There are always new shops opening nearly every day.

Getting Around:
Malibu Sand Suites are located in the heart of Malibu, steps from Carbon Beach and within walking distance to the Malibu Pier. The Malibu Country Mart is approximately 1.2 miles away and reachable by foot or car. Uber is readily available, and guests receive preferred rental rates through Drive Awhile, with vehicle delivery directly to the property and concierge assistance for airport transfers. Options range from Cadillac Escalades and convertible Mercedes models to a Rolls Royce Dawn and Lamborghini Urus.

To maintain property and neighborhood harmony, we have important rules. Please read carefully.
1) No parties, visitors, or unapproved guests. Submit all guest names before booking. Government ID may be requested from the person who booked. A guest is anyone who will spend any amount of time at the property. Our strict guest policy ensures neighborhood peace and legal compliance. Exceeding capacity risks our permit, we may ask you to leave.
2) No pets allowed except for service animals as required by law.
3) No smoking, vaping, e-cigarettes, or similar (outside and indoors). Our state-of-the-art smoke detectors notify the fire department - $500 fee for false alarms or rule violations. City Code Section 41.50 B 18 b | High Brush Fire Zone | Prevent Wildfires | It’s the LAW.
4) Do not send mail to property before or after your reservation dates. If needed, send it to our office; we'll deliver to the property on your arrival day. We're not responsible for lost mail.
5) Quiet hours: 10:00pm to 8:00am to ensure peaceful atmosphere for all guests and neighbors. Property is located on Pacific Coast Highway. Guests are subject to hearing potential road noise and/or waves crashing.
7) Day of Arrival:
Let us know if you prefer self-check-in or a personal tour. Only the guest who booked can check in and must show their ID for security.
8) Check-In: We have a check-in window from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Early check-in is based upon availability and will need to be approved by our team. Please keep this in mind as the day of your arrival approaches. If you are arriving later than 6pm, please reach out to our team for approval.
Standard checkout time is 10:00 AM
Late checkout is available up until 12:00 PM for a fee of $50 per hour. Guests must notify our team in advance if they would like a late checkout, as this requires rescheduling our cleaning team. Late checkouts must be approved by our team prior to confirmation
9) When you are departing the property, please make sure that you do not leave anything behind. Our team is not responsible for Lost or Stolen Items. If our team finds a lost item, we will ship it back to the guest. The guest will be responsible for paying the shipping cost plus a $50 service fee.
10) Pre-Stocking: Choose from our available pre-stocking options with at least one week's notice. A $95 service fee applies to all requests.
11) Property is located on Pacific Coast Highway. Guests are subject to hearing potential road noise and/or waves crashing.
12) Parking:
There are three garage ports at the Malibu Sand property; however, only the second and third ports are for the guests staying at the Malibu Sand Suites. The second port can accommodate two vehicles and the third can accommodate one vehicle. So, there are a total of three spots. You will receive one parking pass and you cannot park in any of the three spots without the parking pass. If you are not able to get a spot, then you will need to park on PCH. Note that the handicap spot is ticketed by the police - as are all handicap spots in California. So, do not park there - or anywhere - without the relevant pass(es). The police will not hesitate to charge you +$500 for parking where you shouldn’t.
13) **All credit card payments are subject to a 3.55% processing fee, shown at checkout. A 3.55% processing fee also applies to any additional service charges, including pre-stocking, mid-stay cleaning, pool heating, and similar services. The guest name must match the name on the credit card. For international credit cards, an additional 1.5% may be charged after booking to account for exchange rate differences—bringing the total fee to approximately 4.7%. If you prefer not to incur this fee, payment by bank wire is available. Guests wishing to pay by bank wire must notify our team prior to booking so we can provide instructions and ensure the correct payment method is arranged.
14) To maintain the quality and condition of the home, guests are not permitted to move or rearrange any furniture without prior written approval. Moving furniture can cause damage to floors, walls, and the furnishings themselves.
Any unauthorized movement of furniture will result in an additional fee to cover inspection, repositioning, and any damages incurred.

We take cleaning seriously. Our homes are thoroughly deep cleaned between stays, with white hotel-style linens, white towels, premium toiletries, and well-stocked kitchens with high-end appliances. High-touch surfaces receive extra care, all linens and towels are freshly washed after every stay, and our cleaning standards exceed CDC guidelines.

I wanted a quiet, safe place by the ocean to unwind after dropping my son off at college. The private beach wasn't accessible due to high waters, but there was public beach access within a block. A short walk down the beach and I was away from the few families enjoying the sunny day. It was just what I needed.

Everything about our stay was seamless, from check in to check out. No detail was left out. There were beach chairs for our stay. The studio was impeccable. All fixtures were high-end and modern. It was spotless (and I am obsessed with clean spaces). The communication was perfect and the property team was so helpful with my questions. It is in a desirable location within walking distance to Nobu, The Farm, and other gems. I highly recommend the property.

Perfect Malibu Stay For Two
We enjoyed our stay in Malibu. The space is exactly as shown in pictures and is perfect for a couple. A suggestion we have is to have a smaller table and second chair for eating at or have a table and chairs on the outside private area. We did use the kitchenette in the mornings to make our coffee and toast/warm bagels/croissants. The private patio is also a great place to watch the sunset.

Perfect spa-like getaway in Malibu
This was the perfect little Malibu getaway, close to amazing restaurants, the Malibu pier, shopping, etc. My villa had a view of the ocean and I woke up to see a pod of dolphins and beautiful sunrise. The bathroom has spa amenities including a rain head shower, Toto toilet, and super soft towels, slippers, and robe. I enjoyed sipping on a Nespresso coffee in the morning while sitting outside in my private green space. When I arrived everything was very clean. Although there is beach access, it was too rocky for my bad ankle, but luckily there is a flatter public access way to the beach just a block down. Would definitely stay here again for a weekend getaway!
