My one and only complaint is that my husband and I made a cup of coffee in the room and was going to go downstairs and eat breakfast and come back up and finish it but they had come in and threw it away. They hadn't cleaned the room yet but threw the coffee away. It was frustrating. I had added my "happy coffee" that I had just started to it and I lost that bit of my stuff. Other than that weird event, the hotel was very pleasant. Oh, and bring a blow dryer.
This hotel has a great location! Right in the centre of beverly hills, but that is about it. This was our first stop on our honeymoon. We arrived quite late and were shown to a room with a queen bed, even though our reservation stated king bed. This room was very small and not very clean. I do not think the cleaners can see the edges or corners of the room, very dusty! There was even some coins on the floor! I then went down to reception to complain and show them my booking with the king size bed. They moved us very quickly which was good and the new room was also much cleaner. The elevators in this hotel are also very dark inside for some strange reason! The worst part!!! Credit card charges! The hotel took my credit card details on check in as expected, however the next morning i realised they had put 2 holds on my card, not just the 1 they were meant to. I went to speak to reception and they could not help me and advised that someone would call my room and sort it out. Heard nothing and no messages by that afternoon. Went back to reception, same thing. This time i did get a call, but the hold was not reversed! Then the next morning i noticed ANOTHER hold put on my card! So now 3 holds against my card! It is now a week later and these have still not come off my card! The hotel was prepaid, so hold was only for incidentals... I know they are only holds / authorisations, but when you are travelling for a month and going to many hotels etc, these all add up and take over a large portion of your credit limit very fast. The fact that this hotel did 3 holds when they were only meant to do 1 is terrible! And it is taking forever to come back off my card! I wanted to love this hotel, i really did. But nope, never again. I do not recommend this hotel.
Can for a long weekend with my husband and daughter. I struggled to find a reasonably priced room at a 4 or 5 star hotel with 2 beds. The Luxe was in a great location (half way up Rodeo Drive) and I was able to get 2 rooms for the same price as a double room elsewhere. We were warned we were going to be charged a $30 daily PP fee for the Luxe club, which did provide us with a great breakfast each morning. The building bones have the tell tail signs of aging but the rooms are clean, modern and well appointed. Bathroom is clean, nice big towels and water pressure and warmth is good. Staff is kind and attentive.
Although this is a four star hotel it gets a five star rating from me because of its unique position in the array of venues available. Hard to find a bargain in Beverly Hills but this is one, small, elegant, inviting, and nestled in the heart of the best shopping worldwide.
I adore this hotel and its staff, I've been here twice and both times the staff were outstanding. The rooms need an upgrade and for the life of me I don't understand why there are no fans in the bathroom, the bathroom is unusable after a shower (even a quick one) because of the steam and everything is wet. It's a shame because everything else is amazing. You can't beat the location.
The location of this hotel is great. The service is amazing. The hotel is old and rooms are extremely small and very dated. The food and drinks provided throughout the day are well worth the resort fee. The staff is first class!!
Thank you so much for always making my stay at the Luxe feel like home. A special shout out to the Valet team, Enrique your smile and positive attitude is contagious! Marco your attention to helping with luggage with such enthusiasm is appreciated. Brittany and Tom at the reception area, are true Gems! With Love & Gratitude Dr. Aracely
Traveled for business and the site was about a mile away. I chise it primarily fir the price and that it had a refrigerator in the room. Although smack in the middle of Rodeo drive i did not get the feeling from anyone that i was below their standard customer being dressed in jeans, shirt and dirty wirk boots. The room was great. Just needed a comfortable place to sleep. The bed was soft, the pillows too. It was all very clean, well maintained. TVs had streaming or casting abilities so i could watch netflix. I would definitely go back. The breakfast waiters got me to eat black beans for breakfast and the food was always good.
Amazing location with even better service. Great pricing too for one of the most expensive streets in the world. Can't go wrong. Hip, yet understands elegance. Walk out the front door to Louis Vuitton, Burberry, every luxury store imaginable. Also amazing dining walking distance.
Out stay was great! The staff was kind and professional, and we had a great stay. The hotel was a bit far from my conference, but the quality of the hotel made the extra travel worth it. We would highly recommend this hotel.
