The room we were in this trip was a little weird and run down. There were large appliance plugs, like washer dryer on the walls with high regular plugs around the room and the ceiling tiles were kind of moved and/or broken a little (we checked for cameras, lol). It was like it didn't used to be an actual guest room but maybe a laundry room?. I asked at the front desk if we could upgrade (pay more) for something else and they said that the hotel was sold out, so we stayed in the same room 412. The beds were comfortable. This was the first time we had a double bed room, which might be the issue. There are a few things that didn't work such as the machine that venda medicine and toiletries in the lobby (you have to contact the vendor for a refund when morning comes out). There's no breakfast coffee little sealed fruit cups and granola bars. However, we like the hotel location, price & staff is helpful and friendly so we give a lot of grace on the room issues. If you're not staying in you room much and enjoying LA, it is perfect. Parking is free which is pretty rare in LA. 4 starts overall for experience.

Elevator was a little sketchy. Room was stocked and clean. View was kinda cool. Pool and hot tub were nice and quiet. Front desk could’ve definitely been more welcoming. Bottom line is, it was a good price and near good food and entertainment.

Stayed at Glendale Express Hotel for a weekend vacation and it was horrible - we will never stay there again. Problems: 1) Room was not ready when we asked to check in about 2:15. That's fine, but when we came back at 3:00 check-in time, still not ready. Offered a non-kitchenette but we said we would wait for the kitchenette (turns out their idea of a "kitchenette" is a mini fridge and a microwave. Nothing at all like a real kitchenette. And I'm not even sure that we got an actual kitchenette - I saw pictures online where there was also a sink. So I think we got ripped off). I was told to come back in 30 minutes. When I came back 30 minutes later, the guy said "Oh, I should have called you because 2 minutes after you left your room was ready." So why didn't he call? Insulting and terrible customer service. 2) TV was awful - you would change the channel and the screen would be dark and it would say "TV will turn off in 10 minutes" and then you would have to wait a couple of minutes until the channel you wanted to see actually came into view. 3) Musty/nasty-smelling air conditioner.
